Been DJing for a little while now & never bothered with a stand. Always had feedback problems when using a cheap mic. I figured I’d try a stand & saw this one, works great, just tighten up onto a flat base & set the angle. I now leave the mic switched on & & just switch to “talk over”. Thoroughly reccomend this item. Comes with adapter to 3/8 mic fixings as well.

Can’t fault this at all, it is what it says in the description. Very easy to set up and use. I’ve had 2 different microphone on this, one was a Roccat Torch and other is a Blue Yeti X and both fit perfectly well.

Have you bought a really expensive nice microphone for your PC for VoIP calls, streaming, or playing games? Did you’re really expensive and amazing microphone come with an option to buy a super overpriced book arm that you didn’t think was worth the price tag? Well you’re right. It isn’t. Buy this instead. It’s amazing and will fit any microphone.

The arm sits very elegantly behind my monitor and has a minimal profile to it and works just fine. For me, I think if it could swivel it would be the perfect budget arm, but it still works just as well otherwise

4.0 out of 5 stars Ideal for the job

What I love about this microphone arm is that it allows you to lovk things into position. Other similar Items don’t have that feature and cost a lot more with the annoyance of your mic swinging and moving around from time to time. The build quality is good enough to last for a while!

Cheap and great, but there are issues:

    * The springs for the top arm are too long and pop off when the arm is fully extended.
    * You will need adaptors if you are using 1/4 size screw fittings as none are supplied.

Cost/quality still makes these a great choice

I honestly can’t fault this boom arm. It’s cheap, and it’s definitely built down to a price; but it comes with instructions; is pretty much fully built and it was even supplied with PTFE tape. They don’t have to supply this but it’s definitely appreciated, even if I didn’t use it.

They even supply an additional metal insert for the screw attachment that different heads attach to. Honestly I can’t complain; like I say it may be cheap but it’s actually well designed. My only thing I’d want to see is the circular part of the clamp that’s on the end of the screw thread I’d want to see that have a pad. Now there is a pad on the flat part of the desk clamp system, but not on the part that goes on the underside of your desk.

However, this shouldn’t be an issue if you don’t over-tighten. It even has the option to move where the top spring attaches to the spring can take more of the weight of the mic, meaning it can support heavier mics!

I first purchased this back in 2018. I’ve just purchased another 2 for my kids.

Between them they have a Yeti Nano and a Hyper X QuadCast. No problems at all fixing them. There should be a fixture inside the QuadCast and Nano boxes that allow you to connect to the screw.

The Nano is a lighter microphone so the boom arm is easier to move around.

With the HyperX QuadCast being a heavier microphone, I’ve found that when you try and lift the boom arm, it can come out of its fixture. Not ideal but it’s workable and not a showstopper if you don’t want to be moving it up and down.

I haven’t tried it with my Blue Yeti but I’d suspect that will be too heavy, but I may try this at some point just to see.

    I hope it helps.

Overall it’s a good piece of kit for what you pay and my first purchase from 2018 is still going strong.

This is the second one I have bought. I bought my first a couple of years ago.

I can’t fault this. No, it won’t take my big studio condenser mics, but they are very heavy. But it will take my smaller ones without any difficulty.

I use one for an action camera for my cooking vids. I have it attached to the ceiling above my counter with the camera pointing down. It gives me plenty of movement and once locked off stays where I put it.

To be honest, unless I needed something that took a lot more weight, this would work for most things. And it really is cheap, even at full price. Great for both amateur and pro use.

This is clearly not a premium item, but for the price it seems to perform well enough and I have no real complaints. Build quality is reasonable – for the price. It holds my Blue Nano in place solidly at any angle. I can’t comment on long term performance as yet.

Some minor frustrations. movement is not as smooth as I’d like and sometimes I feel the need to use two hands. The main arm can sometimes slip out of the desk clamp if you are bit heavy handed with the movement. It seems to be a balance between tightening the retaining screw enough to hold it firmly, but not to tight so that rotation is hampered. Though if you only need a fixed angle then it can probably be tightened right up.
