Very easy to use very versatile. The clamps help hold the item in perfect position for cutting.

Great little gadget, what impressed me was that you could actually clamp your wood down in the mitre box. Very simple and easy to use

Needed something simple to cut up MDF moulding for a panelling project for angles. Saw this and thought I’d give it a go and pleased to report that it was really good for the price. I’m sure the angles aren’t all 100% perfect but it did what I needed and the saw was pretty decent quality and has lasted for over 100 cuts of the MDF.
I’d have no problems recommending this if you are looking to do a similar type job.

Easy to set up and adjust for the size of coving you want to cut. The accompanying saw cuts the coving quite well, although I’d prefer a slightly finer cut. Does the job very well and at a very reasonable price.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersStarted using straight away after it arrived. It works a treat. It will work perfectly as long as you do the following

-Screw it down to a worktop so that it doesn’t move
    -Use your own panel saw
-Ensure that whatever you are cutting is horizontally level with the mitre box
-Ensure what ever you are cutting is upright at right angles and flash with walls of mitre box
-use your own grips/clamps like in the pictures
    -as with all DIY, patience

These are all best practice tips that apply to all mitre boxes and not just this one.

Obviously the mitre box is PLASTIC so don’t be silly!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very effective

It works fine for a thin edging trim or cutting picture frames but it shaky sides would make it inaccurate for something that needs more strength to cut through.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI’m not a talented carpenter and I was hoping that this would be an easy shortcut to the problem of being awful at sawing straight lines. It sort of is, but it assumes a basic level of competence that makes it more of an aid than a tool for the optimistic beginner. It is plastic and you can (I did) break the clips while closing them. The dividers wobble when sawing (even if screwed down) and you can quite easily saw into the side of the dividers if you’re over excited at the prospect of a fully perpendicular world (I did this too). However the box has markedly improved my ability to cut in straight lines (the sharp saw probably helped too) so it is ultimately useful, just not in the instant, low-hassle way I had imagined. Should probably come with a warning like “Requires basic sawing skill or willingness to learn under pressure”. Good, but not magic.

Only comment is that the frame is effectively left handed for 90 degree cuts. Otherwise good quality and good value.

Bought this to cut some beading for a flooring job I did today. Instead of dragging my chop saw and stand out to do it. It did the job perfectly ok,not bad for the price.

Good value for the price paid, needed it for some skirting in one room.
Wouldn’t be any good if using it everydayBass is made of a brittle plastic the saw did the job.
