i baught this for my friend so he can use his headphones on his gaming laptop as the aux on his laptop is broken. the adapter worked for a while but after uesing it for a few weeks he reported they it started getting looser and looser in the usb port and eventualy started breaking on him.
Got a cheap 3.5mm to 3.5mm extension because I needed it to plug a gaming headset in this didn’t work so I opted for this instead and impressively it worked straight away the cheaper one just didn’t. Seems well made so overall very impressed.
I was looking for a way to easy add a permanent audio out to a Nintendo Switch dock and took a punt on this. Glad I did, it works out of the box without any configuration. My speakers plug straight in and it sounds great. If you’re looking for a cheap and easy way to improve your docked Switch’s sound then this is it.
It seem to work well, but my ears are too old to make a real judgeme
Connected to MacBook Pro and was asked if I wanted to use KT USB Audio and worked immediately. This fulfils my need and is a decent bit of kit. Only works in stereo apparently.
Works well Good sound both from the mike and to the Speakers
It’s a grate devise and it works well but dident work with the divice I wanted to use even though it was stated to work but it could be a fault with my equipme
Brought to solve a noisy connector problem by switching input to usb. Worked fine.
This proved to be a life saver when my daughter managed to buy a new pc headphones but didn’t check the connection. Instant change to usb rather than plugging in the sound card at the rear of her pc. She’s really pleased with the sound quality, both output and input are perfec
Does the job perfectly. The cord is sturdy and it doesn’t bend excessively at the end so I think it will last a good while. No more worrying about deteriorating aux ports!
Used this device to connect the PC speakers where the on-board sound output had failed. When we plugged the device in to a USB port, it was recognised by WIN10 and automatically installed the drivers Worked first time with no bother, which is not always the case for a cheap add-on. The sound quality is OK, too.
Everything about this shows a commitment to quality; packaging (including plastic cover on usb connection), instructions (simple and clear), cable thickness and braiding, rubber strain relievers at either end going into the connections and the gold plating to keep a clean, long lasting contact.
The manufacturer has enough faith in them to use a brandname and offer a good warranty.
Another good point is that these do in fact work with aftermarket inline volume controls used with headphones.. They work with the inexpensive Pchero volume control I bought from Amazon and with the Sennheiser one I use with earbuds.
If you have found yourself on this page, then you are probably already 90% of the way there to solving your issue. That issue being that you need to plug a pair of headphones that include a mic into your computer, and the headphone port does not support dual channels. My PC had an input and output jack port, so I tried jack splitters amongst other things, but they didn’t work. This adapter is just great, it is picked up straight away by every application and works flawlessly. Does what it says on the tin, and looks good too — I’d buy it again.
Does what it says on the tin, i bought a set of headphones for pc gaming that only had a 3.5mm jack, the problem because that due tobthe jack it would only either let me use the headphones or the mic seperately, never at the same time, this adapter while it has defaulted every now and again to audio only, has allowed both to be used at the same time without many issues, i would buy it again.
This little guy allows you to modernize your legacy headphone at a discount, saving you money in the process.
I have a pair of very old rather expensive noise-canceling bose and Sennheiser headphones (10+ years) that are still working perfectly for whatever reason. Unfortunately, there is less support for 3.5mm jack in modern computers. My work computer does not support it. My Macbook Pro running on Bootcamp also have a problem with getting the 3.55mm input working as I keep getting static noises.
Fortunately, this device works wonder and manage to save me from having to buy a new pair of headphones. I am getting very clean input and output so far. I am not an audiophile, but the sound quality is perfect for video conferences and watching videos.
