Happy grandso
Present for grandson, he likes it and so did other family members in the family who enjoyed helping build, so was a success as a gift. Less than I imagined when opened but I always feel that way with any lego type produces too. maybe i expect more for money. Its okay, works well all enjoyed.
Whilst a lot of reviews say about the large box for the amount of pieces. At first I thought the same until me and my son started building. You get so much more out of this same a similarly priced Lego set, 50 things to make is amazing value. The box is actually really handy because once you’ve built something there is plenty of space to store what you’ve just made so for that reason I’m glad the box is so big. It’s also perfect size to add sets into. We’ll be getting more.
large box , small quantity
good for kids imagination , constructing various models , but not enough long pieces , box is way to big for small amount in bottom ?, pricey for what it is ?, but i suppose you pay for the brand , all in all disapointed ..
Great toy but not many in the box
Whilst I don’t feel that the product was falsely advertising how many pieces are in the box, nor that it is too expensive, I was surprised how few there were in there! It looks decidedly empty in there!
Definitely more of a starter box to add to over time.
K’nex may come in small parts but builds big objects and toys so I think the reviews saying you don’t get much in this box clearly have never played with K’Nex.
It’s absolutely brilliant and kids love it, box big enough to store projects in rather than all over the house and each birthday/Christmas the box gets added to so will eventually fill up!
Great instructions for kids and easy to follow.
My kids spend hours using knex, they let their little minds run free and find ways to make and invent ways of coming up with different contraptions you can actually see the cogs working in their brains when using these… thats without the instructions. The only downside to this box of knex is the kids wish their was more little connectors as their is never enough for them to finish what they have invented/made.
Expensive but worth it. Good quality, educational, fu
My boys (5, 8, 10) love K Nex. I always think it’s a bit pricey for what you get in a tub, however it’s excellent quality and they’ve now built up a good collection (from a number of boxes) and play with it non stop! Educational, keeps them occupied for hours.
I’ve loved k’nex since I was a kid, and I was so excited that my son was old enough to begin enjoying it. They’ve introduced a lot of teeny tiny pieces- like the same shapes again but tiny. I was a bit surprised at first but my son’s small hands seem to cope with them well.
The only disappointment really was the number of pieces in the box- yes it’s the number on the front but the box is deceptively large for the contents inside!! See photo!
Nice set, good quality parts, but slightly misleading because it is not made obvious that it contains a mixture of small and normal size parts. This makes it a bit dismaying when you open the box and see that it is mostly empty. Of course, after buying a few more sets (separately) we filled the box, but still …
Also, not all 50 models are contained in the accompanying manual, a big fraction are only available online.
Its quite a leap from the last one we bought.
My 4/5 year old Grandson could make things on his own with the last one.
This one is very mush a do together model.
Due to the smaller componants and tricky-complicated bits to the build involved.
But fun all the same and gives many a talking point from the learning point of view.
