We bought this to scare birds away from our beehives and it has done a great job! It flies about in a very realistic manner. It is durable and has withstood some high winds with no damage.

Our lake was pestered by herons and cormorants eating our fish. The kite has totally eliminated the problem.
Only down side is the pole moves in the wind and this makes the hole large causing the kite to drop. Need to keep moving it.

We had a big problem with a crow that was causing lots of damage to our bi-folding doors, he could see his reflection so was attacking and pecking the doors and taking all of the seals out. This has stopped him completely , and it’s really easy to assemble.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersNot only had a nesting pair of seagulls flattened the preventative spikes and netting on the dormer, they also seemed to have brought a colony of hangers-on with them. Within minutes of erecting the kite, they had left, had a couple of fly-pasts and then squawked on their way to another unsuspecting neighbourhood. No more mess, noise or swooping on my poor dog. I note some reviews which state that the telescopic tubes had collapsed. I turned each one tightly after pulling out, as instructed, and have had no problems.

Had to get my son to put it together as I had trouble working it out. But I am 83. String or cord is EXTREMELY LONG but if used for a field I can see the reason. It does need stronger cord though as it wears out pretty quickly. Fascinating to watch.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersNot a bad little bird scarer. Works well for birds but not for rabbits. It is quite steep for what it is but it came quickly. It’s been flying for a week now. I wouldn’t imagine it would last a month but who knows..
I did raise the height of the pole for increased affect.
