Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis was a great deal I got this on Black Friday for a Christmas gift for my son to help him with his speech and language. It is great value for your money cause it will last all throughout there young school life.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersLove this toy. Helped my daughter with Down Syndrome to read. Multi sensory. She was able to listen to the story at her own pace using the pen, then remembered the words and really gave her confidence in reading. My son who’s 8 and is a good reader also enjoyed it. Lots of hours of fun with this. Recommend using rechargeable batteries for this as batteries go quickly due to the children living this toy

I may enjoy this more than my little boy at the moment but consistency is key. Such a great tool for teaching kids from 2 years and up. There are different level books you need to purchase separately with this but they are fun and educational. Perfect for taking with you when travelling to keep your kids busy.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is a sturdy book and a very decent toy. However it is expensive and if I’d known that I had to buy additional books to go with it I probably would not have purchased. Also if I’d know I had to download the content on a laptop and connect the book to the laptop to download it to the boom I definitely wouldn’t have bothered. It’s way too much effort for a 3 year old and even my 5 year old gets bored of it too quick for all the hassle and expense of it.

Golden Review Award: 42 From Our UsersI like leapfrog educational products and this one is a great so far. Took a few minutes to register and download the books and away we went. One of the things I particularly liked when downloading the books, was the option to choose a British accent. The American accent can be really annoying as I have learn from other Leapfrog products. The box comes with the leapfrog leapstart, a sample book and the USB connector for downloading the books. Unfortunately, the books have to be purchased separately which is an additional cost as they can vary anywhere from 7-15. Argos currently has a buy two for 15 which is the best I’ve come across so far. It took some practice with my 3 year old son to use the book and the stylet but eventually he got the hang of it. My only pet hate is the stylet as it’s a bit too chunky and fiddly for smaller hands. Would have been better if it was slimmer and more pen like. Also, find that there is a lot of talking before you can start an activity which I find a bit annoying as well. Other than that, it’s a great tool to help with your child’s academic learning from an early age and grows with your child as they progress from preschool through to year one. Would make a great birthday or Christmas prese

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI would give this a 5-star rating if they did British-accent versions of the books. However they all seem to have a really annoying American accent, and my daughter has started copying it!
My daughter is 22, and it only holds her attention for 10 minutes or so at a time. I thought she would be more into it, but the content isn’t as good as I thought it would be and there is a lot of waffle when you taps on things. For the level 1 books there should be more emphasis on just sounds effects, or short, clear sentences, rather than long sentences being spoken.
I think it she will grow more interested in it as she gets older though.
One thing I didn’t realise when I purchased it is that you have to download the interactive software for each book you buy seperately, so setting it up the first time was a pain as I had to connect it to our PC.
I’ve seen a few people complain about the targeting of the stylus, but my 22 months old seems to be able to use it just fine so perhaps they have updated the design.
