LEGO. Just a quality brand that remains as educationally significant today as 40 years ago!

Lovely Harry Potter set with the normal LEGO quality and this has made a lovely present for a nephew that I have now become uncle number 1. Terrific; LEGO never disappoints.

It’s difficult to review a set like this. If you are looking at this, the chances are you like Lego. Timeless toys that are durable and fire the imagination in a way few others do. Minecraft maybe great, but Lego will always be the boss. Your only real question these days is what flavour lego? Harry Potter? Marvel? Star Wars? This is a great Harry Potter set with enough pieces for a fun initial build – it took us an hour (adult and six year old) but has led to many more hours of playing. It’s not cheap but lego lasts and lasts and lasts – no upgrade or obsolescence. What’s not to like?

The tri-Wizard playset from Lego was great fun to build. My daughter and I spent an afternoon whilst it was raining following the clearly laid out plans. Easy to follow diagrams and clear instructions for Lego always provide. Final model is sturdy looks great and he’s clearly taken from one of the films, my daughter has enjoyed playing with it for days. It is part of a wider set to create a Harry Potter environment and would look amazing. Given a lot of space

This is the LEGO 76420, the Harry Potter set that I am sure would be of great value to my collection of LEGO sets. As all others I have, the quality of pieces is perfect, the set comes with clear instructions on how to build it, and is a perfect value. The final result is a vivid and a very colourful Harry Potter set.

This set contains 349 pieces and therefore it didn’t take me much time to build it. It is a good idea for a quick LEGO building session. Once built, the final shape is intact and not flimsy at all.

All in all, a decent set that definitely ameliorates my current collection.

I got this my seven year old nephew as he loves Lego sets. I think he found this quite easy to build. The set has lots of engaging parts for Harry Potter and including the moving diving part, and it comes with the figurines. Makes a good gift.

This is a great item for a Lego and/or Potter fan. Of course, I mean Harry and not Graham. The instructions are clear, and there are many small pieces to construct; all are conveniently sorted in small bags. Once built you have a nice ornament as there’s not much else you can do with it – haha! The figures are cool, especially the Mermaid and the Shark. Recommended for the right person.

This set of Harry Potter Lego is great for anyone who is a big fan of the books/films.
The box is well illustrated and inside are 4 numbered bags and the instruction booklet.
The instructions are nice and easy to follow and it really is a quick build ( a little disappointing to be honest).
The set is aimed at 8+ and has all the makings of a great set, there are 5 figures, a boat plus the tower with a couple of smaller extras,it just could have been a bit better with a few more details.
At 39.98 at the time of writing this review, i feel that although Lego can expect this sort of price it should really put a little more content in to make it worth the money.

My review is based around the current selling price of 39.98 with no voucher available

    Pros:
    Clear instructions
    All parts present and correct
Will be well received by Potter fans
    Good value
    Well made
    Good quality
    5 figures included

    Cons:
Will be too simple a build for some

The set comes in a nice box with easy to follow, clear instructions. Its an easy to build set and turns out beautiful. It comes with 5 minifigures and a small boat, including Harry Potter, Hermione, Ron, Viktor Krum and a merperson. It’s a small set and easy to build so doesn’t take much time to put together, and doesn’t have much play value once it’s built. Overall, this is a beautiful build and would make a perfect gift for any age Harry Potter fan, but is a bit too easy to build and not much to play with once built.

My children are very interested in building Lego and enjoy the process of building. This building has a total of 349 bricks of the size, which is very delicate and free from any defects, making it easy to assemble or disassemble. As a fan of lego, I would like to say that this is a great model and a good souvenir for fans of Harry Potter.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to build

A great lego set of the latest harry potter set that my daughter is a mega fan of and has already finished it in less of a day. It is a good quality set that worth the price and looks well too like the film too.

As an AFOL, it is the build that satisfies. This set falls well short on the ‘satisfying to build’ scale. Too few pieces, no complexity at all.

Instead it is a set piece scene, a classic scene to be fair and well chosen, and it does invite creative play with the final construction. Therefore more suited to those who like to play with their creations, more than getting joy from the build itself.

I really enjoyed building this set I would recommend to anyone who really enjoys Harry Potter and is a great gift for Harry Potter fans. It is a really easy set to build and isn’t too fiddly for those who struggle with small pieces over all a great set. I love how compact it is and still so detailed and creative. The minifigures are a huge update from the original especially the merperson and my favorite part is how the underwater part is made to look like the characters and foliage are floating.

This is a great Harry Potter lego kit you get four separate numbered packs of lego for easier construction and one separate base and an instruction booklet great for Harry Potter fans and a good additional set to put with other Harry Potter lego sets easy and fun to build grandson loves this set has a good range of characters included in se

It’s a nice model and good build process. With clear instructions and well packaged (though too many plastic bags inside the box). Minifigures are great. However I keep thinking, that at this price point, I would expect a more detailed representation and high piece count. I guess the licensing of HP brand is making this Lego series less and less affordable.

I have a household of Harry Potter fans, and whilst they are not a fan of Lego I thought the Harry Potter Goblet of Fire Triwizard Tournament: The Black Lake (number 76420) would be a nice bit of memorabilia to add to the growing collection.

This particular Lego set comprises 349 pieces and the characters provided include Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Victor Klum (complete with shark head) and a mermaid. Not all characters are provided, which is a shame. Should also include Cedric, Fleur and Gabrielle (Fleur’s younger sister).

There are enough pieces to construct a pier and the underwater structure which you can attach Ron and Hermione to make them suspend in water, just like the movie. There are also small accessories including a gillyweed container, “special” Grindylow character, kettle and other little bits and pieces, which is a nice touch.

The box recommends this Lego kit is suitable for ages 8 and up, however given it is a very simple build and not at all challenging I think that younger kids will also enjoy building and playing with this.

Whilst my household enjoyed building the pier and underwater structure it now sits on the shelf with the other Harry Potter merchandise rather than being played with. This makes me think that this Lego kit is not only suitable for kids that enjoy building things from Lego but also all Harry Potter fans. I am not sure this Lego kit is suitable for die-hard Lego fans as it is too quick and easy to build.

This Lego kit is expensive for its size and what you get in the box, but given it is official Harry Potter merchandise I guess this is to expected.

A lovely set to add to any Harry Potter Lego collection. Contains 5 mini figs and also cute little boat with movable oats, which is good for a small kit.
It’s an easy build for younger children, as usual the instructions are clear and simple to follow, you can also follow the instructions in the Lego builder app, which will appeal to kids.
Play value is limited, there’s not much you can do, other than dive Harry off the top platform.
Quality and detail is excellent, just as you’d expect from Lego but it’s a bit expensive considering the size and amount of pieces.
Hope you found my review helpful

Fabulous set of Lego to create a Harry Potter scene to play with.
I especially like the very full instructions and the fact that the Lego is sorted into batches which makes assembly so much easier.
    A challenging but fun set.

If you have any Lego fans that also like a little bit of Harry Potter that this will be really well received. It includes five mini figures as well which is great if you want to make a larger play set. It’s a relatively straightforward build which will be pretty easy for experience builder or moderate if you’re relatively new to building.

Who doesn’t love Lego and Harry Potter, put them together and fab.
This is a great set for fans of either.
The figures are really good and actually look like who they’re meant to be.
The colours are great absolutely nothing to dislike about this set.
As usual a really good instruction booklet.

The LEGO 76420 Harry Potter Triwizard Tournament: The Black Lake playset is a fantastic addition to any Harry Potter or LEGO fan’s collection. This set is inspired by the iconic scene from the Goblet of Fire movie where Harry competes in the Triwizard Tournament, and it includes a boat model, five minifigures, and various other accessories.

The boat model is a standout feature of this set, and it’s well-designed and realistic. It has great attention to detail, including the flags on the sides and the oars that move up and down. The minifigures included in this set are also excellent, and they look just like their movie counterparts. They include Harry Potter, Cedric Diggory, Viktor Krum, Fleur Delacour, and the mermaid.

The build itself is challenging but not overly difficult, and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. Once complete, the set looks great and is perfect for display or play. The Black Lake itself is well-represented, with the underwater plants and rocks giving it a realistic feel.

Overall, I highly recommend this set for any Harry Potter or LEGO fan. It’s a great addition to any collection and provides hours of fun and imaginative play. The attention to detail, realistic design, and excellent minifigures make it a must-have for any fan.

I really like this set. It’s nice to do something else then a building/room. It also has some fun techniques and models not available with other sets. The colours are great too.
