Exactly as it shows in the pictures for the spirit level, this is a very neat and robust device with a good solid weight to it. 3 different levels to measure horizontal, vertical and 45-degree angles based from a neatly finished floor. The air bubbles seemed to measure true in my tests, which is the most important aspect of any level. The 22cm rule (the level is 23cm long overall) is only calibrated in metric (no imperial inches as it is claimed – the reverse side was free of markings), and mid-way there is a magnetic section (not a really useful addition as far as I am concerned).

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect spirit level

This is a sensibly sized level that will sit nicely in a typical toolbox (the spirit levels I own tend to be longer, which is good but they can be difficult to store and carry). I like the bright orange finish and general styling of the instrument.

I tested the spirit level as best as I could and it seems very accurate to me (which is somewhat of a required feature!). I like the inclusion of the 45 angle testing bubble-level and the fact that you can lie the spirit level flat on its side and the bubbles still seem to display correctly. The main underside edge of the MECURATE has a nice engineered precision metal edge. I do wish that that the ends could have been metal too (they are a type of dense rubber) as I feel it might be easier to get better accuracy confidence than the rubber ends do.

There’s a handy measurement scale along the bottom edge. After all, if a tool has an edge why not make it a measuring edge… kinda makes sense.

I tested the 45 angle measuring by using a set-square and the MECURATE was bang on.

For a price of under 11 this is a good product and an essential device for any DIYer!

5.0 out of 5 stars Nicely made accurate spirit-level, no more wonky shelves!

You don’t have to be a professional tradesman to need a good spirit level. Many simple DIY jobs around the home require something being level. If it’s not, then it will annoy you forever! A good spirit level can be used to settle an argument whether a picture is level.

This level arrives in a decent retail box. The level has a metal body, so it’s nice and sturdy. It has a total of three bubble levels, one horizontal, one vertical, and the third at 45. It has a magnetic strip along the bottom of the level. Not really sure why they do this, and it can be a pain if you have a bunch of nails or screws nearby. Finally, there is also a handy measuring ruler along the bottom.

How do you know if a level is accurate? Believe me when I say that many are not. Avoid ones from the pound shops as I’ve never seen one that’s accurate from them. To test a level without any test equipment, all you need is a surface that looks pretty level to the eye. It won’t matter if it’s not perfectly level. Place the level on the surface and take note the position of the bubble. If it’s not dead centre, then don’t worry but take note of its exact position to the right or left. Now rotate the length of the level by 180. The bubble should still show the same position. If not, then it’s not accurate.

This spirit level passed this test with flying colours!

Overall, accurate spirit level at a fair price. I hope that helps.

9″ spirit level, with a metric ruler, and gauges; horizontal, vertical and 45 degrees.

Nicely finished and made of alloy, with clear sights and a magnetic base, and the ends are capped in a rubber like plastic.

This is then a well made tool and so the asking price of 10.99, at the time of writing is reasonable.

In conclusion this simply a good tool and I have no hesitation in recommending this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Useful.

Can’t fault this, all the levels are locked in securely and don’t rattle around or move, the magnetic bottom holds the level securely, and all the bubbles are easy to view, all in all perfect and well made

    Hope my review was helpful
