Good little bags to have with you. I bought these to travel as I needed to sterilise my pumping equipment and it’s soooo good! They are mess free, can take anywhere and it does it’s job. The only downside is the price, on the long run they can become a bit expensive but overall definitely recommend
Fantastic bags
Great, easy to use bags. Love that you can mark of your uses on the back. Have used now for all three of my children and never had an issue.

After looking at a few brands on amazon I decided on these. They are a little pricier than some others, but medela is generally a good brand and had the best reviews. These bags are so handy. I keep couple of these at my mums house to save taking so much stuff when I visit, and used one on a weekend away. Have had no issues with split bags (but I take a spare just in case) they take up no room, and can be used 20 times. There is a handy little tick box so you know how many times they have been used, and a vent to let the water out. Have used for bottles, breast pump parts and dummies with no issues. Sterile equipment in 3 mins. Just don’t be tempted to overfill the bags, but the instuctions tell you how much you should put in each cycle.
Easy to use and sterilises quickly
These bags are easy to use and do the job well if used correctly. It would be great if these didn’t have to be disposed off after 20 uses but understand why that is. These are great when you need to sterilise something quickly or are on the go. These need to be used in a microwave

We live in a hard water area and I found that boiling my Medela breast pump accessories in a pan would leave them with a cloudy residue on. I bought these bags primarily to see if this would stop this cloudy residue forming on the bottle etc and it has. It’s so useful to just pop everything in there and microwave it, instead of having to boil in a pan on the hob. It’s also been useful for traveling and staying with family – I can just use the microwave rather than taking up the hob. Recommend!
Does the job
We did not bought any sterilizer at the beginning, as we did not know if it will worth it. We bought this bags and they simply done the job. 3 minutes and job done, very easy!
4.0 out of 5 stars Good for when away from home
I use an electric steriliser when at home and would not advise to have these bags as your only option. It would work out too expensive that way. These are good for when away from home or when wishing to only sterilise a couple of things. Bags can be hot to touch when coming out the microwave. I wouldn’t be without my electric steam steriliser. The problem with the bags is that the items come out wet whereas with my steam steriliser they are ready to use. One very good thing about the bags is they take so little time- 3 minutes in the microwave.
Practical
I think they are very useful and practical, at first I handled them wearing kitchen mittens as I was afraidof gettingburned, however later on became more used to them and used them with my bare hands.
I just bought it for the 2nd time now, as it’s a time saver and dose not take up a space.
Life save
This microwave bag is great, especially when my baby girl is off to her great aunties for an afternoon. No lugging lots of bottles around, easy to use and a must for all those new mummies! I wish i had know about these before! I still use cold sterilising but these are a great back up!
Quick, easy, fool proof
Using as our primary form of sterilisation as only giving one bottle of expressed milk a day. I prefer this than having to faff around with boiling water or chemicals. They are super easy to store/travel with and make bottle feeding and cleaning easy

I was introduced to these when my twin’s were in the special care unit in hospital. I still use them now we are home and they are brilliant and hold two full sized Avent bottles easily. Don’t know why you are only supposed to use them 20 times, mine are lasting forever!!
Really good and effective but not sustainable!
I liked that it was easy to sterilise when away from home. However it’s a shame it’s not recyclable and it says you can only use each bag 20 times – I used them a lot more than that and it was fine. They do make a horrible crumble sound which can be a bit of a disturbance if the babies with you in the night and you’re getting the pump out. I would just buy a microwave steriliser instead – they’re small and have a much longer life.
Handy to have in the cupboard
Perfect for sterilising whilst away or when your steriliser dies as ours did a few weeks ago! Each bag can be used 20 times. They hold two large Tommee Tippee bottles with lids/colic bits if needed.
We were introduced to these in hospital when our baby was in NICU and my partner was pumping in the ward.
These are so handy! Easy to use, no fuss, can take on holiday. We don’t stick to the 20 use guide on the bag as we simply change when they get overly worn, and they’ve been great. The items do get very hot straight out of the microwave but so long as you are cautious there’s no need to worry.
Especially handy for grandparents who look after the baby from time to time and have no need for a more permanent sterilising solution.
Portable and useful
We were first introduced to these bags in the hospital and they have now become the must thing to take whenever we go travelling- nice and portable !
However be careful and leave bags to settle for a few minutes after finishing in the microwave for steam to disappear as I have burnt myself a few times
The best microwave sterilising bags
These were a lifesaver during the first couple of months of constant expressing. Easy to use and last for ages – you can get way more than 10 uses out of these bags. The best microwave bags that I have used.
making bottle feeding on the go that little bit easier.. stick in the empty bottle components, a little bit of water, seal, blast in the microwave, drain water out of a little hole on the side then your bottle is sealed and sterile for 24 hours. then when you’re ready break the seal, assemble and pop in a packet of pre made formula. super easy. and the bags last 20 or so uses.
I used a steam steriliser for ages despite having bought these at about the same time. I was a bit nervous of microwaving things. When I finally got fed up of unplugging the steamer to empty it and the faff of descaling, I gave these a go and they’re brilliant. You can use each bag 20 times, there’s a line of tick boxes on the back so you know how many times you’ve used each bag, and they actually hold quite a lot, and they’re really simple. Good bye steam steriliser! (Or not, as the boss prefers that. Maybe these are more man friendly)
A very viable alternative
These are great if you don’t want to buy a huge clanking great steriliser, which I don’t as I don’t have a baby but care for my little grandson twice a week. I sterilise two bottles before he arrives in the morning and two more after his first feed which sees us comfortably through the day until I take him home to mummy. At around 50 days usage, they are also a viable economical alternative. I can’t comment on these bags compared to cheaper versions as I haven’t tried any of them but I am so pleased with these I shan’t be bothering. An excellent, useful, product.
Perfect for holidays!
We’re traveling often, having family abroad, and this is a great product to leave at the grandparent’s for example. You have to be careful to put enough water in there otherwise, some of the plastic elements can melt. We had a little accident with the bottle ring which slightly got out of shape! I would not use it for every day though.
Love these
They are so useful and practical. I am breastfeeding so only had to sterilize a bottle from the breast pump and a couple of dummies at a time, so didn’t want to use a steam sterilizer as it’s too big and takes too much space. The bag is really easy to use and can be used up to 20 times so for me lasted a while (there are 5 bags in total). Also really useful if you travel somewhere. Perfect!
biggest lifesaver ever!
i cannot recommend these enough! they are a bargain! i go away to visit family a lot and this has been incredibly helpful as i pop two bags in the baby bag and carry 4 bottles for the weekend, so i’m never without a clean bottle. it’s great if you’re at someone’s house too as you can wash the bottle (carry a spare bottle brush) and microwave. and that’s it.
i’ve not even finished using the first two bags and still have 3 new ones sitting in the box. these are amazing and i would highly HIGHLY recommend them.
I understand they say to use them for breast pump equipment and bottles, but i use them for tommee tippee bottles and to sterilise my baby’s dummies and it’s pretty much the same thing.

We are tight on space in our little central London flat and these bags are a life saver!
They take no space at all, are super easy to use, can even be taken on the go as it is pretty easy to find a microwave oven anywhere these days!!!
Said that, we don’t sterilise a dramatic amount of bottles since I am breast feeding and we give our baby only 1 bottle of my own milk a day… so not sure how convenient it would be for a mum feeding formula.
Medela Quick Clean Sterilisation Bags
Fantastic product! Great for when you’re out and about at friends and family’s houses. Great for using in the house too! Don’t take up much space and means I’ve got more counter-space as I can put my electric sterilising unit.
Planning on going back to work and continuing breastfeeding so these will be ideal for sterilising equipment at work! I use with the Medela Quick Clean Wipes when out and about.
Not that pricey really when you get 100 uses out a 5 pack and the convenience is well worth it!
This is the best by far as you can sterilise two baby bottles in one go without any difficulty, and it only takes three minutes.
I always keep one of these sterilising bags in my baby bag when going out and about to friends and families houses as I then do not need to worry when my baby drops his dummy on the floor or when he needs a clean, sterilised bottle for his milk.
I have also taken these bags when going on holiday and I can say that it is a godsend as I do not need to worry about packing a hefty steriliser in my suitcase.
Also it is a bargain to buy from amazon as you get five Medela Sterilising bags for the price.
