One other thing, I saw the same product cheaper in Tesco’s.
Bought this 4-in-1 lawn food as my local store had run out. But this was much better than the stuff I used before as after spreading the lawn food, I found that it did control the moss as well as the weed grass and my lawn looked much greener only a few days later.
Great at sorting our moss, and really good at enriching the lawn. Key learning for me is next time use a proper spreader and that way I hope to even up the areas of growth.
It does get rid of moss but leaves the ground burned. Now I’m no gardener so I’m guessing will come back next year.
I managed to put this down a day or so before the rain came, which is what is advised. Moss died off very quickly and the grass has greened up well.
Great product, easy to use and it killed my moss.
It worked very well in greening up the patchy grass and killing or reducing the lawn moss. Some very scorched areas will need reseeding, but overall it has done a good job in helping to re-establish our lawn.
My lawn has been patchy with moss and weeds for years. Decided to try this and used it generously for 3 months now – use when I’ve mowed the lawns. My lawns have never looked better- emerald green now. Rain in April really helped too I think.
This is the second year I have used this lawn food. This year my main problem was moss which has been killed effectively. It is difficult to apply at the suggested fate which is quite low. I don’t know if this is recommended but I mix it with sharp sand. Hope this helps. Roscoe
Not cheap but worth the money.
I’ve found it difficult to find a supply of this product and it’s expensive, however it works well removing the board leafed weeds over a couple of weeks and applications

Another quick delivery of this product. It’s so easy to use. I’ve 3000 square feet of lawns and putting in the wheel dispenser makes this a doddle to do. The weeds die quickly and the feeding aspect does the grass well. My lawns look beautiful already. Used it for years.
Key thing to get the most out of it is to ensure that you water the product in! The first few times I thought I’d leave it as it was due to rain, but then this tends to scorch the grass if left too long. So now I always water it after spreading for the best effect.
Also, if you spill any, then make sure to clear it up and spread it around from the area, otherwise this will also scorch the grass and leave you a nice black patch for a long time. It does eventually come back stronger and extremely green but this take the grass a long time!
Results are OK, but I expected a bit better for the price. I’ve just gone and done a second dose so if I change my mind I’ll return and update this review
Yes, it does work and it works well. Some reviewers will have you believe that this is more a grass killer than weedkilling grass saver but if you follow the instructions then you will have good results. Most problems occur when people make mistakes, they put on too much (or too little), they apply when the grass is wet or when the soil is dry, or when the grass and weeds aren’t growing; drought or winter, or not watering after a couple of dry days. These mistakes will affect the results, from not working to browning or blacking of the grass. In this instance the grass may look dead but 9 times out of 10 the roots will not be, add some time and it will usually grow back. Do it correctly and thicker greener grass with about 80% less weeds, especially broadleaf weeds. Good stuff but do it righ
I know nothing about lawn care. I am a total noob and not ashamed to admit it. I nearly obliterated my lawn by liberally applying this. The manly act of spreading fertilizer overwhelmed my sense of judgement, and I didn’t bother to work out how much to spread per square metre. “MORE IS BETTER” I cackled, as I tipped Kg after Kg onto my tiny patch of grass – and what should be a mundane chore somehow turned into a fever-dream of brash, gung-ho stupidity.
Setting all that aside, this stuff works really well. It will kill the moss within 6 hours and you’ll get black patches showing up – which is great for seeing where to rake it out. I would however suggest you try raking out the moss first – THEN use this stuff. Plenty of water is required, I’m convinced this fertilizer dries out the ground a wee bit, but it’s produced some fine and dandy results in the end. [tl;dr takeaway = a little goes a long way].
We had turf laid last year in the late summer and it was so hot and sunny the first few days that it shrank and we were left with loads of bare spots and weeds.
I overseeded part of the lawn, used a bit of lawn food last year and decided to take care of it the following year.
So after winter the grass wasn’t looking very good, it was full of weeds, yellow and patchy, so I mowed the lawn, gave it few days and applied this.
I have a handy spreader from evergreen and I used half box of miracle gro 4 in 1 while walking at a fast pace.
This is the result after just 4 days.
Lawn is looking thick and it has a nice vibrant colour.
I can’t really give an opinion about the weeds as they are cut short and can’t really see them.
Make sure you sweep or quickly jet wash your lawn after application as it stains.
I’m really glad I bought this. I’m sure after giving one more round of seeds the lawn will look amazing.
It does however (like it says on the packaging) prevent new grass seeds from germinating so you should keep that in mind when wanting to fix patches or overseed like I did. Overall I would definitely buy again.
Update:
I am beyond happy with the results. To my surprise, grass seeds which I had paid just a few weeks after application has germinated and is growing well. The lawn has thickened up significantly and no longer browns up after very short mowing. (I have been using a very old hover mower which we have had for over 10 years, the blade is warped and blunt yet the grass still holds up).
I truly cannot recommend this product enough
