Was using the Miracle – feed and weed bottle with applicator :spreader I got lines of growth over the grass so hence this purchase.
Absolutely excellent- very easy and quick to use . grass is now evenly growing without weeds
Does its job
Have used this for grass seed, and also for granular feed. Easy to operate and width of spread easily adjusted.
Better than my previous electric spreader which had corroded in storage.
I have a weak left wrist and could still use this gadget easily.
Small, light and as all plastic no corrosion from fertilise
I’ve had a couple of the larger wheel based spreaders, they are bulky and need a thorough clean post use as the fertiliser destroys any metal components. With these you are also at risk of dumping too much fertiliser and burning the grass. I’ve also had another hand held model that did not work well – this was so easy to use and ideal for most gardens
Wish had brought soone
Lawn feed, seed, what ever you need to sprinkle it copes with. Wish had brought one years ago, so much easier then the push along expensive versions that always clog/jam.
Great for dry, even sized spreadables
Unfortunately I left a box of lawn feed, weed and moss killer in a damp garage so it got a bit lumpy.
However, the clump free stuff spread well. Reviews saying stuff went everywhere should be edited to say ‘if pointed in the air’. I pointed it at the lawn and everything went well.
Hand Spreade
I already have a drop feeder and wanted to try a handheld spreader. I was pleased withe the performance, easily spreading grass seed at a rate I required, which can be adjusted. The spread of the rotary action is good meaning less passes. The build is surprisingly good, good value for money.
I didn’t have the space for a big push along spreader and when I was doing it by hand I ended up with burnt areas where I threw too much. My grass area is about the size of a tennis court so this is perfect. Very simple, works really well with a good even spread over around 2.5/3m .
After seeing the lawn treatment people use one of these I thought I’d buy one. Well it works better and more consistently than just using one of those box dispensers with holes in it.
Well I’ve sacked the lawn treatment people and now do it myself as their costs were getting a bit out of hand.
Ideal for spreading lawn feed or lawn seed.
If your looking for a piece of kit to evenly spread your lawn feed or seed. This is it. If you want to use it as a mug. This isn’t for you.
It lets you set how much you want to spread and by rotating the handle the speed its deposited. Spreads evenly. Would recommend for a small or medium garden. A large lawn would work but you would be refilling quite regularily. Anyroad it does what I need it to do and it doesn’t take much space in the shed. Perfect thankyou
does spread seed and fertilize
i used this to spread seed my garden is pretty small, yes it does work but for my garden to be honest it was a lot less effort just to throw the seed with a flick of the wrist if you have a bigger garden i would defo get one as they do work but for a smaller garden i would just throw the seed down one flick of the wrist at a time however if your putting the moss and lawn feed down and want even coverage even on a small garden its worth getting one.

Handy to use and small to store
I have tried various wheeled spreaders but always find they are unreliable and dump a load every time you stop. I dare say this would not be big enough for a very large garden but I have found it so easy to use and effective in distribution. Highly recommend.
Bought something similar from Homebase but it kept jamming. This one is much better and spreads lawn feed effectively and with ease
holds a good amount of spreadable feed easy to use and gives a good even spread.
I’ve been able to over seed and fertilise my lawn with this easily.

My partner bought this for me. It does the job ok. Gets jammed at times, but easy to clear. Defo better than hand spreading. Delivery estimate said would be delivered by Thurs, arrived the following Sunday when no one was at home. The parcel was just left on the doorstep. My house has no front garden, so any passer by could have stolen it. In fact this has already happened with an Amazon delivery. A member of the public brought the opened box to my house. This is a growing problem with online deliveries. Couriers need to employ some common sense.
