No complaints on this product. Works well and as described.

I have this in my kitchen to monitor inside and outside temperatures. As you see from the photo, I added a couple of stickers simply to emphasize the In and Out temps. Personally, I could have done with a longer lead as this one only just reaches the outside of my kitchen window. My previous similar thermometer had almost twice as long a lead. However, this is a quibble and does not mean this product does not function correctly.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Choice

This was a replacement for the same device we’ve had for a few years, but whose outdoor sensor failed. This one has a slightly inaccurate outdoor sensor, reading slightly higher than actual temp, but good enough as an indicator.

I have several of these and I like the external lead so that temperatures can be simultaneously read for both inside and outside. The text on the screen is large to I don’t have to put my reading glasses on to read it. They are not precision temperature devices but good enough for normal domestic use. I have bought several of them.

I have scrapped numerous wireless temperature probes so reverted back to a good old fashioned ‘wired’ probe as have never had any problems.
This one is very simple, well made, looks good and works well_
    Bought 2 as so pleased.

The instructions are not the best I have come across but it is so easy to use I didn’t really need any. The temperature readouts are very accurate, within 0.5deg C when compared with a certified temperature unit. It appears to be well made and looks good. What a pity they didn’t build in a method to keep the outside temperature sensor and wire tidy. All in all I think this unit is a good buy.

Big display, seems accurate , really long wire , for more placement options , the leg that holds it up broke off though, after only a week of so, that’s why I gave four stars, but has the option to be hung up on the wall , so not too bad I guess.

Actually I haven’t used it but its set up works fine and is now back in it’s box. I already have a similar model which
stopped working after 3yrs but I managed to fix it (split wire) The new one is now a reserve.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe Good – Cheap, VERY large LCD display (easy to read, especially if you have poor eyesight), quite long cable for outdoor/external sensor, seems to be accurate (checked it with another digital thermometer which I assumed was also accurate!?)
The Bad – Very big & bulky design
The Ugly – rather unattractive styling (basically a big black rectangular block), I used some self-adhesive velcro strips to stick it inside a server cabinet to monitor my NAS boxes temperatures as the large design took up too much space inside cabinet!

This item was purchased to replace an older indoor/outdoor digital thermometer which suddenly ‘died’. A post mortem couldn’t discover any repairable issue so a replacement was required.

This item fits the bill. It has a large and easy-to-read display. Picture shows the unit on the kitchen window ledge with a pound coin for size-comparison.

A button cycles the display through current values > maximum values > minimum values and back again to the current values.

Initially I couldn’t figure out how the ‘rest’ button worked – it seemed to reset one set of values or the other, but not both. The instructions are very brief and rather unhelpful.

I finally figured out that the display has to show either the maximum values OR the minimum values and then the reset button will reset only those values. To explain, in order to reset BOTH the maximum and minimum values you have to have the unit showing the maximum values – then press ‘Reset’ – then have the unit show the mimimum values – and again press ‘Reset’.

This means that you can reset the maximum temperatures leaving the minimum values alone or reset the mimimum values leaving the maximum values alone – or both sets of values should you want to.

It would have been great if the instructions had explained this!

Other than that, I’m very pleased with the unit.

    UPDATE TO ORIGINAL REVIEW

Just over 2 yrs from purchase and the outside temperature is way too high – currently it is around 5C and the unit is saying it is 26.4C

Also, the clock gradually becomes more and more inaccurate (can’t remember at the moment whether it gains or loses) such that after a couple of months it is at least 5 mins out (no quartz timekeeping?)

Given these two, I can’t now recommend the unit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice little uni

The first unit sent through the post had a display issue whereby only half of the digital display segments worked correctly. Contact was made to the seller who speedily resolved the problem by replacing the faulty unit, the zero hassle when things go wrong is a great way to gain complete customer satisfaction. Thank you very much team

This unit has useful big numeric indicators and can be read without bright light, but still some light. Setting up was OK, but I advise against pulling the external sensor by the sensor itself as it might come off. The external sensor is not on a very long lead (about 1.5m) so you’ll need to check that you can locate the main unit close enough to the “outside” location.

My main problem with this unit is the stand, which is two legs, rather than a bar, which means the main unit needs to be located on a shelf with enough space, rather than perching on the edge, etc. It does have recess for attaching to a hanging hook or screw should that be a better option.

Very good for the price , these cheaper ones are never super accurate but id say this is within about 10 %. I’ve had it a year and no issues , for this price it’s a good buy

I use it in the greenhouse with the probe hanging out of the window so I can compare inside and outside temperatures. You do see a difference in readings even when the probe is in the same place as the internal sensor, but it does seem that this is just because the probe is exposed whereas the internal sensor is inside the casing and is therefore more protected from air currents and moisture. Attempting to give them both the same environment, they give almost identical readings. Text is very clear, and it’s easy to read and reset the min/max temperatures.

Great product for the price and easy to use and read. I have it in my kitchen so I can easily see what the temperature is inside and out. The only criticism I have is the sensor wire could do with being a foot or so longer. I have it free standing on my window sill and the wire does not quite reach the under side of the outdoor window sill. Not a problem as such as I’ll mount it on the wall so it does reach.

Bought this thermometer and hygrometer for use in my greenhouse. Easy to set up and has so far proved to be a good purchase. Not too sure about the accuracy of the outside temperature but it was purchased primarily for the inside temperature and humidity recording and the time display.

Wanted a device that could give me a temperature reading of the water in my hot water tank. Inserting the probe next to the metal tank under the insulation, next to the immersion heating element, appears to work. A bonus of it recording the minum and maximum temperature shows the effectiveness of the insulation of the tank and help to set the heating element thermostat. And was half the price of a similar device I had seen in a garden centre.

Happy with this product seems to work well. Temperaturex2 and humidity along with the time. Inside temperature is the actual device, outside reading is the probe temperature. Probe is perfect length for my purposes and fits my 120120 tent perfect.
I have the device on the roof of the tent with the (outside) probe threaded through one of the venting ports.
This gives me a reading of the room temperature(inside reading) and a reading for the tent temperature(outside reading).
Have had no problems so far seems adequate for my needs. Have seen this cheaper elsewhere.

I gave it 4 stars solely due to the fact that the ‘outdoor’ function disappointingly failed after 8 months. The supplied instruction leaflet boasted an 18 month guarantee which was promptly honoured without question following an email via amazon. Neotek’s communication was excellent and the replacement unit arrived even quicker than they suggested. Let’s hope this one lasts the course!8

Bought to replace an older type of Indfoor/Outdoor thermometer this unit has easy to read numbers and gives accurate readings. The set up instructions could be better but overall it is good value for money

Wrote a grizzly review and supplier got in touch, refunded and replaced so can’t say fairer than that. Whilst it work its a good thing, quite cheap body but it fufills its function. As it was free got to be a 4 star review…

Product ok except battery provided was dead, so used the one from previous unit which still had some power left. Display easy to read seems to function ok, not the end of the world the battery was flat. Still good value for money in my opinio

I bought one of these for my greenhouse so disappointed, it stopped working after two weeks. And supplier does not respond to complaints. it seem that my review prompted a response which I am now happy with

Seems to be getting the temperature and humidity reasonably correct, however even when the in and out sensors are in the same space, they display temperature difference of up to two degrees.

Nice easy to read display, seems to work fine.
Having the second temp sensor is very useful too (I actually use it down by the hot draught out of my laptop, gives me an idea how it is doing).
I haven’t played with the min/max temp functions, may do so at some stage, but as a simple thermometer to sit on your desk it is perfect.
