Extends lifeline
I started using this a few years ago after finding my waterproof kept more water in than out. This was sold as the best thing to fix without buying a new jacket. Absolutely love it. The free dry bag with this order is a bonus

My tip is to make up a solution of the proofing liquid in a bucket and soak the item overnight, then spin and tumble dry or air dry.

Great product, my jacket is now as if it was brand new. wouldn’t ever pick another brand. Brilliant customer service as well, I had an issue with a product that was solved without question and in a very timely manner.
The washing detergent is bang on the money.
The protector product also works really well and provides teeny weeny beading from rain and splashes which will then fall off your jacket or backpack.
I typically use the detergent 2-3 times for every reprotection application. I ride mountain bikes all year round and my gear still performs flawlessly.
The waterproof bag is phenomenal. It can store plenty or roll up really small. I’ve used it for as little as storing a snood, my phone and gloves.

As long as you follow the instructions it works well I’ve done two coats that were I thought well past it but it’s given them both a new lease. The Tec wash I use on my grandsons coat ,it continually gets grotty and it cleans and keeps it waterproof. It’s always refreshing to see an old coat with the rain beading off.

Great stuff this, and the kit is economical and very easy to use. Keeps my motorbike gear in weatherproof nick so ideal for older clothing that would otherwise have to be replaced.

Not used the proofing yet but the wash works well.
This is a great combo for cleaning and waterproofing your coats.
I’ve used the waterproofer before but didn’t realise how well the water repellancy of coats is restored when just washing them! I’d say i’d probably clean the coat 2, possibly 3 times, before having to re-apply the water repellant.
The coats will only ever be shower proof when you apply this but it leaves a nice finish where light rain beads on the surface and runs away.

Love Nikwax I work outside and Iam a keen walker so I need waterproof clothing and Nixwax is the best way of achieving this in my experience
Works with almost any material but best suited for garments which are meant to be waterproof like a hard-shell jacket or trousers made for the rain having said that the fleece proof stuff is excellent and works well
So if you have a pair of Levi’s jeans and you want to make them waterproof then buy a pair of over trousers if you want to give yourself more time in the rain before getting wet legs then Nikwax would be a great choice

Bought this for our daughter who is a dog walker and is always having to wash her muddy coats. The 1 litre of wash should last her ages and the smaller bottle of waterproofer is enough for when needed.

I have used the Nikwax products for many years. They keep my Paramo clothing and other outdoor clothing in tip top condition. I always wash and treat my outdoor clothing before the winter.
