I have the burgundy which I love as all my clothe are dark blue/grey/black so nice to have a touch of colour. The built in rain cover is genius as is the way the weight is held off your back preventing sweaty back syndrome. I also like the the 2 belts which again help to take the load off one place. This is by far the most comfortable daypack I have ever used and will probably never buy another. Yes it could have more storage or more pockets but for a day hike, this is enough and the benefits by far outweigh thee minor points. I barely notice I am wearing it even when my water bottles are full. Handy keyring for safely attaching car keys at top in the small pocket so easy to locate quickly. Nice deep pouch for waterbottles. Highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe best thing I can say about this rucksack is you forget you are wearing it

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is very light so just right for a summer backpack . The ventilation on those hot summer days means no sweaty backs. A bladder pocket is provided but the access hole for the nipple is a tight squeeze. There is a rain cover or those summer showers. Enough room for a camera dlsr , light water proof sandwiches and flask. Sorry i need my cup of tea.

Good size of bag. I like the contrasting colours. Side pockets good size too. Normally buy berghaus but I really like this too.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI can only echo what nearly every reviewer has said; this pack is light and incredibly comfortable. Most of the time I forget I’m wearing it. I have the green and the colour is really gorgeous. HOWEVER, the continuously irritating flaw is the design of the side water bottle holders. They really don’t work, despite what Osprey say. As soon as I bend over, the water bottle comes flying out. I’ve clipped it to the side, which keeps it attached to the bag but doesn’t stop it falling out of the pocket. I do have a water pouch but can’t be bothered with it for shorter day hikes. Other than this, I love it.

I took this backpack hiking for 4 days. It’s big enough to carry changes of clothes / overnight kit and water while remaining comfortable to carry. I was worried carrying a pack would make my back ache but this fitted brilliantly. Love the side pockets for easy access to maps etc. Very easy to use with the Osprey hydration pack. I personally like the fact this doesn’t have a bulky waist strap as I never use them. It’s so good I’ve now ordered the same bag in 18L for day excursions.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersRides on your back like a hitch hiker with no weight shoulder straps are thick, wide and comfortable with a really strong “as one” construction at the top too! So load it as much as you dare, this little pack will take it… Chest and hip strap weld this pack to your body when super loaded in weight, the internal frame is curved and shaped to your back also with spring loaded mess inner backing, to help your back breath and not sweat, those days when it rains, stops, rains again etc it has a option even for that with large outer grab pocket on face of pack, where you can chuck your rain jacket and take it back out, without getting the inner contents of your pack wet… it has its own rain jacket too In the base it literally is the best thought out pack on the market for day hikes, or for everyday use as a commuter pack… i bought the green one, it looks ace and blends into the countryside with easy.

Golden Review Award: 29 From Our UsersI LOVE this bag. Somehow it seems lighter when you put it on even if it’s heavy when you pick it up! So very comfy to wear and a nice fit for my back (female 5’6″ with a bad back!)

The breathable air flow straps are also a revelation! There are two points of adjustment on the straps as well as a chest strap and a waist/hips strap.

Rainproof cover is great, kept my bag and contents dry in heavy rain . It’s tethered but also removable for drying out. It’s also a bright contrast colour – my rucksack is oyster and not very visible when I’m cycling so I sometimes put the cover on just for extra high vis.

Bag is also secure as you can thread the zip loops by threading the other straps through them and clipping in place. I also use a carabiner to prevent the zips slipping open or someone poking their way in my bag!

The small front pocket is shallow but I can get a purse, phone, keys, sweets, pen and small notebook in there ! There is a handy keyring clip too.

The large pocket keeps giving and the elasticated pouch which is more for a hydration system is a useful section divider and fits my 11inch tablet in its thick padded case.

The front ‘pouch’ is handy- great for a coat, however be cautious with small solid items as if I bend over wearing it (eg when unlocking my bike) those items tend to slide out and hit me in the back of the head before dropping on the floor!

Others mention the short elasticated side pockets. They’re probably best for a 500ml bottle and my bottle does slide out of them fairly often if I bend down. Generally though I try to tether bottles as I’ve not found a rucksack that does hold a bottle without it sliding out.

I will definitely buy this rucksack again in future. It’s a great day bag for commuting and has plenty of room for change of clothes, cosmetic bag, small laptop, lunch box, and a few other bits and pieces. It’s also deceptively long without looking or feeling enormous!

    I will never look back!

Great bag. I haven’t officially measure but doesn’t feel like 26 litres once the rain cover is in. Very very comfortable though!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI bought this backpack to use on hikes in Scotland. It fits in all the gear you would need for a day-long hike Spring-Autumn. You’d need a slightly larger backpack for winter gear. There’s one large main compartment for extra layers, waterproofs and food; a smaller pocket for items such as a compass and first aid kit; side pockets for items such as a water bottle; and a pocket at the front for items like a map or book. Also, i love this colour of this bag. Excellent backpack – I would definitely recommend it.
