    Fast perfek

This is an excellent quality backpack and is really comfortable. We have used it on several mountain hikes and I wouldn’t change it for another. Also the integrated sunshade is very convenient.

Got this after researching and seeing an account I follow on Instagram comparing different carriers. This one fit our needs and expectations, most definitely. Plus, our extremely curious baby loves being in it, much more than the stroller or the front carrier, as it affords her the ability to look around much more. The only downfall for me personally is the amount of pocket storage on the hip belt. That being said, there are solutions like having a jacket with a breast pocket or bringing along a fanny pack. Overall, I am extremely happy with this model and brand 😍

Quality carrier. The 18 month old dont want to climb out of it, she is so happy and comfortable and it enables us to take the dog with on a walk with the 4 year old too, enough hands for everything. The 18 month old is extremely heavy so initial concerns was the extra weight and her still growing, but there is clearly a lot of room for growth in the carrier. One of the best purchases in terms of baby equipment made thus far.

    The wee man loves i
My 10 month old absolutely loved this and it’s so comfortable to wear. It feels really solid and safe.

Also for us larger men… I’m 6’5 and built like a polar bear and all the straps and buckles fit me, which is unusual and if you’re a big guy you’ll know what I mean.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAfter looking around and comparing pricing, I decided to invest in this fantastic toddler/baby carrier. I wanted something that had significant support (because of my back problems), and after testing it, I noticed how well the weight is distributed. It's well placed on the hips, and the bag is nicely spaced away from your back, so you don't get too hot during your hike. I think is pricy, but you can see why. The design is on point. The sun protection is easy to pack and get out. The bag compartments are easy to reach. And, well personally, I rather invest on a product that will perform as described and last long.

    Toller Rucksack

So lets start with the obvious. This is not for everyone. This includes person carrying the backpack as well as the baby. We arr lucky to have a child that is reasonably well behaved and that enjoys outdoors etc. And i know a child that wouldnt sit in this for 5 minutes. I do not think it has anything with the quality od the product. Thats how children are.

Backpack carrier however you describe it, is very lightweight. Intuitive use, if you have ever used a rucksack, you should figure it iut quickly. Uv protector is a very cool touch as it is built in. Putting on raincl cover is a bit trickier but can be done under 5 min easy. Rain cover also gives good wind protection which is handy. Om your back, its comfortable and you can adjust the position and tighten the straps like in a good ruck sack. There is a back foot for when you take it down with the baby inside, so yoi can out it stable on the ground.

For the baby, seating position can be adjusted, lowered or widened with cushion removed. There are straps to hold the baby in plce in case of you falling down, they could be easier to put on. They have an elastic part on the back and you have to stretch them over with bending childs arm at elbow, ans it depends how compliant your child is.

Is it comfy for the little one? Our 1 year old slept 3 hours in it while climbing 2000 meter mountain, which is a record long nap for her, usually she sleeos for 2 h max. In general it looks comfortable, but there are couple of things that i would improve.
First, once the child is asleep, as you might expect head is freely moving about, so some sort of pillow/kneck support would ve great. We have managed with just some scarf.

Second is when you walk alone. There is no way of seeing what your child is up to. This is funny because i cant see other solution than a mirror or a phone camera but it is important. Being young they will grab anything within their reach and try to eat it. Imagine going hiking, passing trees etc. They will eat those pincones, trust me. Best just go with partner.

I like that there is also some lugage space. Not too extreme, but you can easily pack food for 2 for one day, a small flask, wind jacket for you and baby, spare socks and first aid kit. You can also take a but more like small snacks and toys to keep the baby occupied as there are small pockets on the hip belt. I would say its almost enough space. Almost because i couldnt fit all of the above plus 2 littre bottle of water. But you can work around it.

So is it practical? Hell yes. We have done 3 week holiday and took this, regular carrier that we use at home(just the chest carrier) and a pram. Pram is not being used at all. She prefers carriers, and they are easier to use and take less space. This carrier can be folded almost flat to take even less space. For next hiking trip i will just loose the pram as it is waste od space.
We have started to use it when she was 11 months 8 kg. I havent tried ither back carriers, so cant compare but osprey is a good brand. It looks very well made.

One more thing i would like to change that is a life saver when you little one needs distraction, try to find a way to attach a phone to the back of your head lol. There is space where you can put your phone for the little one to watch a story or something but, careful as it might be thrown out. If there was a way of attaching it somehow it would be great.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGet your child into the great outdoors
I was given an Osprey backpack ten years ago, which I used to travel around the world with. It’s very tough and hardwearing, despite massive use, on buses and trains in India. A rat even munched through it for some biscuits and it was stitched up nicely by an Indian tailor, so it’s still going strong today. It’s for this reason, I wanted the Osprey brand for the baby carrier for my 11 month old son. We do a lot of walking and I feel this will last well and I will probably be able to sell it on at a good price.

It’s big and sturdy however it’s not heavy, which is the main thing. My son can fall asleep in it easily and the sun shade pops up quickly, to keep him protected, leaving his head free, without him needing a hat. He can look around easily and enjoy walks at our level. It has a stand that pulls out, which makes it easy to put the child in, on the ground. The hip belts adjust easily for me and my partner. The straps for the child are well padded and comfortable. There are also a couple of pockets, which come in handy.
It has foot holders for the child, which help my son to balance his weight.

It might be a little expensive for occasional walk, however I would highly recommend for people who walk regularly. The only down side, is that it doesn’t really fold away, so it might be a bit bulky to store when we go on holiday.

    Klare Empfehlung
Sehr zufrieden.

    In Summe: Klare Empfehlung!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSehr schön.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBester Rucksack!
