Adjustable cutting angle

The OX-P224301 Pro Heavy Duty Fixed Blade Folding Knife can be used for a variety of cutting tasks, such as drywall, roofing materials, carpet, packaging and more.

The adjustable handle allows for the blade to be angled as required. This makes safe operation of the knife when you need to apply additional force such as a drag cut in thicker or harder materials

Wire cutter

The notch built into the frame of the knife allows you to safely cut or thread small gauge wires and cords.

This is particularly useful for electricians when a wire stripper or pliers is out of reach.

Spare blades

The body of the knife has a removable handle that allows for the storage of two blades to be safely kept. When the blade in use is blunt, it can be easily replaced.

Belt hook

The belt hook mounted onto the body of the knife allows for mounting of the knife on a belt or flap. It allows you to quickly and easily retrieve the knife from your belt, rather than having to dig through pockets or a tool bag.

I am very pleased with this item
Had previously used another well known brand but this one seems better.
    Solid feel with safety features.
No long term usage but no reason to doubt it will las

Nice blade – I have a different sort in the garage and keep this one in the house – useful when getting into well packaged Amazon stuff – I like it holds spare blades – easier to open and shut than my other one – hence safe

Excellent product. Robust cutting tool, originally purchased to just break down boxes etc nothing too labour intensive. Easy to use, great build and find myself using it more often than I though

I am a builder and I’m always needing a knife to cut DPC etc. this is a handy knife to have as it has a belt hook attached to it. It is robust and comes with spare blades which fit into a compartment within the handle. A big thumbs up from me.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersI have used the branded Stanley knives for 50 years. The first one was my dad’s and I thought it was inconvenient to fit and remove the blade every time we wanted to use it. Then when I set up home I bought the Stanley with sliding blade. A while later found I had to buy another one because I use the standard straight blade 80% of the time, I use the hook blade the other 20%. So instead of carrying two knives in the pockets, went online to study reviews. Realised that work knife designs have moved on; that there are many more designs. There are heafty ones which allows you to put more force into the cut but it was convenience I was searching for.
The reviews voted the Milwakee knife of similar folding design the best but having spent another thousand pounds in powered tools in the last 6 months, decided to put the knife on the wish list before spending any more on tools this year. Well, it must be Amazon cookies which puts various knives on the pages such that this OX came up. What caught the eye was the colour. Didn’t particularly want a red (Milwalkee) coloured knife but preferred either a DeWalt yellow or a Makita tyrquoise. This OX has a bright blue.; nice colour, so continued to study the features. Yes it can hold spare blades which is perfect. There is one blade in position, and space for 3 spares so I can put a spare standard spare plus 2 hooked blades in that spares holder. There is a hole to slot through a landyard which was the deciding factor. 40 years of wearing employers issued coveralls (and Royal Navy coveralls) I am used to having the knife in the dedicated boat knife pocket by the right thigh. These pockets are usually on the long side for cater for boat knives. So I needed a hole in the folding OX knife’s handle to loop through a lanyard so as to easily extract the knive from said pocket. Great.
Is it sturdy ? Yes it is; there is not much play (much less then half mm) once the blade is openand clicked into place. One reviewer said it was too stiff to open the knive one handed. Luckily I do not have arthritis yet so am able to open and close the blade one handed. Yes, agreed it is a bit stiff to pull open but I prefer it this way than if it could be easily flicked open. Anyhow, I haven’t had to resort to using a bit of oil to make opening a bit smoother
It comes with pocket clip in place. Looks like I can unscrew the main pinion and remove this clip.
Reckon it is one of the better sub-10 purchases I have made. At least I have found this folding knife more comfortable to use, and I am more confident using it than compared to the old Stanley designs.
I never heard of OX until 2 months ago when chanced upon “tough” (near indestructible) bucket. That’s because my experience of “made in China” products from unknown brands lack R&D, poorly designed, else poorly produced in order to cut costs to make the product cheap. Well, thanks to the bucket and now this knife, both exceeded expectations when taking prices into account, so OX has gone onto my acceptable list of branded tools.

I really like this knife and I’m very happy I purchased it. I have had other Ox tools and I do find them to be robust and of a very decent quality. I like the size (I’m a slightly taller than average male with very normal sized male hands), the locking mechanism is secure but very easy to use and the Ox blades it comes with have so far proven to be sharp and robust too. It’s been my go-to knife since I purchased it, for all manner of tasks, including watch battery replacement! Love it.

This knife is good the blades are easy to swap. The main thing is that it is easy to open and close as long as you depress the silver button firmly if not it isn’t opening and that is that. All in all a good and very safe knife.

Good knife but can’t use it one handed. To flip it you need to use both hands so it makes sense to just get a normal stanley. Not as flash as these but you can use a stankey with one hand and are reliable and cheape

You can feel the high quality in the weight and smooth snap of the mechanism also comes with 4 blades 1 installed 3 in the handle. Only gripe I have is the blade holder in the handle is quite tough to get into I understand it shouldn’t be to easy and falls open but it’s a little tougher than necessary to keep you safe. Overall fantastic great quality for a tenner.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersAs an enthusiastic DIYer, I decided to give up on the cheap throw away blades & buy a proper knife. Wow there are hundreds to choose from! Many thanks to all the genuine Amazon reviewers who steered me to this one & the replacement blade set. The experts out there will I’m sure tell me, that the features I’ll highlight are common, but for me, they are a huge step up from the cheapies I’m used to. 1) Sits nicely in the hand. 2) Blade locks reassuringly in place in use. 3) Blade tucks safely way when not. 4) 3 spare blades inside the handle. 5) Can change blades without a screwdriver, simply press in a small release pin. 6) Belt/pocket clip 7) Convenient hole in the handle for easy hanging 8) The 100 spare blades are contained in a wall mountable case 9) To extract a spare blade, simply press down & slide the blade out, blunt end first, of course. 10) Environmentally friendlier & cheaper than buying 100 cheap throw aways. I knew I could get to 10 with a bit of thought!
