This is my second purchase of this product line. Previous one lasted 8plus years and this one feels just as good, really happy with it and great price too!

Second body shaver Ive bought, this is a really well designed piece of kit, Im a bodybuilder so literally shave everything off, this does the job! And the gadget for doing your back is a great idea! Id recommend this shaver ! Beware make sure your hair on your nuts is very short otherwise it pulls the hair out and that hurts !

I love this body shaver, it’s absolutely amazing and the handy attachment was perfect for me to do all of my back myself.
I would definitely recommend it to any man who has problems with body hair!

This is amazing. I had a waxing routine that I wasn’t enjoying much. This is an incredible piece of kit, it’s very quick to use and I’m amazed how close to the skin it gets without irritation…completely Smooth! Highly recommended to both men and women alike.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEasy to use, good ergonomic design, and good battery life. The fact that it’s waterproof is also very helpful.
It does the job good enough for me, but would have expected a better cutting trimmer. It does the job and doesn’t pull, but has to go over the area a good number of times to do anything. However, the electric shaver is really good, no complaints there.

It is a good a quality product, it is safe and silent. The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t cut the hair to the skin like a razor or other models available, it leaves a tiny length and it is noticeable.

Hard to use on certain areas due to size of machine, cutters do snag skin on more delicate areas, battery life is good but overall not great for my needs

I couldnt find any length attachments, and thought I had misread the blurb, I stumbled across them many days later as I was throwing the packaging away, they are tucked inside part of the box filler, with no obvious way to open it; it was only because I was flat-packing the cardboard I found them.

The shaver works OK, however not so much better than the cheap Lidl body shaver I was using before, to justify the price difference; it is an awful lot for an extender handle.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is the most effective body trimmer I’ve had – and I’ve had a few. Did my normal routine in record time.
The double-trimmer heads working with the foil make for short work of your unwanted hairiness.
Saying that, I didn’t find it particularly great (despite what other reviewers had said) on my testes and manservant. It left my sack looking a bit ‘raw’ and I did get one small nick. (maybe I’m pressing too hard) In light of that I’m going to stick to a wet shave for that area (trick is to shave in the growth direction – no nicks) but for the rest of me it was excellent – highly recommended.

Unlike other back shavers on here, this one doesn’t scag your hair or pull.
Takes a few go-overs but has a close shave and can get in hard to reach places.

Bought this for the back-shaver facility, but the shaver turned out to be way more than that.
Shaves very well, and unlike my previous shaver, nicking in those difficult places seems to be a thing of the past.
Quick charge time and long run time makes it hard to beat.

Good points: only takes an hour to charge for an hours usage – good size and easy to hold – very handy handle extender tool – shaves well for price range.

Bad points: feels a little flimsy and cheap – it is quite noisy – no case included (not even a cheap silicone or padded one).

Golden Review Award: 32 From Our UsersBought as a replacement for an older, similar device it was a bit of surprise to have it delivered unwrapped by a smiling delivery driver. Note this if you’re ordering as a gift or are shy of stating to the world that you ‘body groom’!

I’ve spared you an unboxing vid as breaking the seal, opening the end flap and sliding out the interior carton was quicker than a camera set up. From this point on however, you might want to put on the kettle!

The trimmer arrives completely discharged and according to the sales info, this takes an hour but fear not you hairy nutted people, you will easily fill this hour after you plug in. If like me you’ve had one of these before, you’ll also find you are now the proud owner of a ‘spare charger’ so into the box in the garage that goes, just in case…

The instructions aren’t important but do provide a couple of key points in pictoral format. You musn’t put the device in your eye (bang goes that idea) and the foil blade should be replaced after 12 months. Other pics show you the combs you could buy as extras to the one supplied and there’s some dodgy pics of which direction to move the trimmer on different parts of your body but probably not the part of the body you bought this for in the first place.

Registering for 36 mths extended warranty is offered should you have the ‘cojones’ to send the broken item back full and covered in your, cojone hair trimmings. To qualify, all you have to do is scan a QR code (use this as the UK instruction for this is actually written in Greek – no lie) and agree to Philips sending you junk mail. To register your product you’ll need the model number which you’ll find Amazon have conveniently covered with your address sticker. Return to the room where you’ve set the device charging and attempt to read the model no. on it. Find a magnifying glass and try again. Return to the registration form online to find your computer has now gone to sleep and you can start the registration process all over again.

By this time, your trimmer will be well on its way to being fully charged – don’t forget you’ll have to reboil the kettle now as well as you’ll need a cup of coffee before you contemplate the next move of actually using the thing. Whilst sipping your coffee, take a final look at the bare-chested model on the box and, accepting the trimmer will not make you look like that, chuck the box in the recycling bin.

The product is very good. Nevertheless, you must be careful in how you use the head, mine got ruined after a few uses (maybe for a longer life I suggest slow strokes on the body) and continuing using that head the situation just got worse and worse, with one time that it really irritated my skin.
However, I contacted the support and they’ve been very helpful. They sent me a new head, and this one didn’t get ruined after the same number of uses. I will now keep using this head slower in my body and see if it really lasts 12 months as they say.
The charge is quite slow, therefore I suggest to leave it to charge over night or while at work before using it to not be disappointed. The battery allows to do the whole body without any issues (I’m 180cm tall and fairly hairy) leaving even some battery charge left.

Just tried this after losing the charger for my old Microtouch Titanium Solo (which I remember was nice but gave me a few cuts) and did a full shave, plus the delicate areas, and not a cut in sight. The bidirectional blade requires a sort of ‘rocking’ motion to get harder/curlier hair, but the motor seems powerful. The battery lasted an entire shave (I left it overnight and reused, and it still didn’t die), but I suspect that like an electric toothbrush the motor begins to slow down at lower charge, so it’s best to charge up. I’d say that any negative in terms of speed is made up for by reliably not cutting you.

The shape is kind of like the ‘back scratcher’ type back shavers you see, and indeed you can hold the end and push it around your back. For this reason I also prefer this over the pricier 2-in-1 option where the other end is a head shaver. “Shower-safe” so I run it under the tap in between bursts of use to rinse out the blade (when they get clogged is when they lose efficacy and end up cutting yourself).

Really good battery life. More importantly I have had mixed success in the past when trying to keep my back smooth. This groomer manages really well without feeling like it is plucking out the hairs.

I am very impressed with this product. I have shaved my legs, chest, and with the special attachment, my back. It cuts my body hair really well and very quickly. No cutting of skin or pulling of hairs. Battery lasts well and it is easy to use. It is light in weight and Philips has designed the cutting part at just the right angle. With the experience I have had, I highly recommend this item. Amazon delivery was great. Thanks.

Does the job quite well. Thicker hair requires more effort. Removing back hair is bit awkward.

The Philips Oneblade is a far superior trimmer. I have used it for body hair and is much smoother and a closer shave.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersSo, I’ve had this for a long while now (purchased late 2019) and never got around to writing a review, so here we go. I will preface by saying that I specifically purchased this product for the nether regions and that I am a man.

This thing is definitely good, especially for the price-point, more-so when considering that the much-advertised “Manscaped” trimmer goes for almost triple the cost of this and you can still nick yourself.

Because of the design of the blade/foil on the Philips, the likelihood of you cutting or nicking yourself is basically nil, as the foil is smooth and the blade is on the outer edge. However, the downside to this design is that I find it really does not like to deal with long hair. Before I give-out “too much information”, I’ll just say that I am a very hairy man all over and my hair grows back pretty darn quickly; I pretty much sport 2 beards, if you get my drift.

The first time I did a once-over with this trimmer, I’d honestly say it took me well over an hour, if not 2 hours, to get the nether regions to a smooth finish. I didn’t do an initial trim with my other trimmers as I would have no doubt nicked myself to oblivion, almost making this purchase a pointless one.
It was constantly getting bogged down, requiring me to turn it off, remove the blade to clean it out, then put it all back together to use it again (then again, it isn’t meant for “beards”).
Even on hair that was trimmed every month or so (about 1/3rd of the initial length), it would still get clogged-up and therefore take me a long, long time to get a smooth finish.

Now, because of the fact that I should replace the blade (should have done a while ago), it really doesn’t like cutting anything over 1-2cm in length.

On the topic of the blades, they are pricey. 15 per blade, which is essentially half of the price of the entire kit here on Amazon, which I think is ridiculous.

Overall, if you keep yourself regularly trimmed downstairs and want something cheap for easy and pain-free upkeep, this is a really good purchase. If you’re more like me and want something that will allow a full-shave, due to fast-growing hair or because of laziness to upkeep, you might want to look at the newer 5000 series or even the 7000 series.

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersPROS:

    1) SHAVES THE UNDERCARRIAGE VERY SMOOTHLY AND EASILY
    2) 1 HOUR CHARGE FOR 80 MINS USE
    3) MULTIPLE CUTTING LENGTHS FOR NON-UNDERCARRIAGE AREAS
    4) QUALITY CONSTRUCTION
    5) IPX7 RATED FULLY WATERPROOF
    6) TRAVEL BAG INCLUDED

    CONS:

    1) A HARD CASE OR A FOIL GUARD IS NOT INCLUDED
    2) CARE HAS TO BE TAKEN WHEN IN THE NETHER REGIONS
    3) FOIL HEAD WOULD BE BETTER WITH ONLY ONE TRIMMING EDGE

I have been using my wife’s disposable razors (she always gives me a razor) for years now. The usual routine is soaping up and careful manipulation of the deadly weapon (the razor that is) whilst in the shower. So I have used this Philips 7025 Body Groomer twice since receiving it. My wife is out of the country for another week, having been home due to her mother being critically ill, and subsequently, passing on. I have used the groomer once dry, and once in the shower. I have only used it on the undercarriage, though I have a hairy chest, that’s what my wife likes.

In my limited experience of the groomer, it is better to use it in dry mode. In the shower, it doesn’t feel like it’s moving smoothly across the skin. When I used it dry, the foil moved smoothly across my skin and left me as smooth as a well known brand (beginning with G, product is the Greek Goddess of Love) lady’s razor. I was surprised at the performance, having had the top Braun shavers (for my face) in the past. In the shower, I didn’t use soap, and perhaps I should have, but the efficiency on undercarriage shaving isn’t anywhere near as good.

Ignore the no-sayers on here. The reason they’ve been nicked or caught by the foil head is down to operator errror. The foil head swivels in 4 directions. The main one being pivoting in line with the body of the groomer, being hinged at the edges. This means you can alter the angle between the groomer and the foil head to keep the foil in contact with the body’s contours. On either edge of the groomer, is a reciprocating saw (that’s what it feels like when it catches you) ok, blade. This is used for trimming and practising latte art on your tackle. The issue here is, you need to pay careful attention to keeping your skin held tautly, and ensuring that the groomer head is perpendicular (emphasis on dic) to your skin. If you do this, the trimmer will not catch your goolies. It happened only once to me, because I figured out the issue and adjusted how I used it. A better design would have been having just one trimming edge on the foil.

The other issue is that the microfibre bag doesn’t really serve any purpose. It’s not rigid, so it doesn’t protect the unit, and it’s not tailored, so it just looks scrappy. I haven’t used the body hair grooming head at the other end of the groomer. I’m leaving that so my wife can decide how long or short she wants my chest hair. All in all, especially since this was on offer at around 40-50% off the rrp, it is excellent. However, even if I’d paid full price, I’d be very happy with this Philips 7025 Male Groomer. BUY IT, IT’S DOTTORE APPROVED!!!

Plenty of power, bought to keep back hair at bay, it does this job due to the extension attachment, haven’t used down below, I don’t trust anything there, only four stars due to not having enough combs, could do with a 1.5 mm, but reccomend otherwise.

Golden Review Award: 48 From Our UsersI have been looking for a decent body groomer for some time now.
I was reluctant to pay the 90 price tag that this was at the time I bought it, So I continued to use a standard hair trimmer/shaver until the price dropped a little.

I ended up paying 64.60 and to be honest it was a pretty good buy. It is a little noisy when using the foil shaver end but once you get used to it, It cuts pretty close.

I was pretty disappointed in the title of the amazon advert as it included “corded or cordless use” when I bought it (it’s since been removed), Which was the defining moment in me buying it, I figured when the battery reaches end of life I can still use it with the charge cord attached win-win,
However after trying to run it with the charge lead in and failing then looking over the philips site it turns out that product(s) which are advertised as being water-proof will not operate with the power lead plugged in. (pretty stupid feature I mean who would be daft enough to jump in the shower with a live power lead)…

Which brings me on to my next point, this thing is not really good for using in the shower it struggles to cut as clean with wet hair as they tend to stick to your body, Given the choice I would of preferred a none water proof unit that allowed power pass-through (operation with power lead attached).

This unit is fine for trimming/shaving the meat and two veg, Just be careful and use the foil shaver side, as the two trimmers at either side of the foil are smaller and a little more blunt then a regular hair trimmer, With a little patience/practice you can finish up knick-free. Don’t remove the guide and try with the hair shaver side those teeth are designed from shark teeth in my opinion. (it also increases in sound considerably as it cuts through that type of hair, foil-end)

Battery life is pretty impressive I bought this unit maybe a month ago now, Used it on my chest+back (foil end) with a little help on my back/underarms (11mm trim)/arms (11mm trim)/down south (foil end) and its still not needed a recharge.
I also own the philips Series 7000 12in1 trimmer MG7735/33 (who thinks of these stupid names) and the charge lead is the same on both of these units.

Not sure what else to say, It has a premium feel to it even though its plastic it has a brushed metal effect, The rubber handles give a nice amount of grip.
Compared to the hair trimmer I’ve used for some time, this certainly feels like a step up and in the right direction (much safer too).

Don’t forget to register your unit on the philips website for a 20% discount code to use on the site (I used it to buy a replacement foil-head for when this one needs replacing).
Good to have a spare one ready and it knocks a few quid off, making it a little less then it costs buying on here.

I hope this review helps you in some way. Stay safe!

5.0 out of 5 stars Philips Series 7000 - Below the neck body groomer BG7025/13. Good buy but not without faults.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPositives- Let me just say I’m excessively hairy front and back. I used to get a friend to apply hair removal cream on my back. Excellent results, but incredibly messy and time consuming, not to mention the smell. The body groomer charges fully in about an hour, I usually get 2/3 uses at around 20x minutes a time from it before a recharge is required. I find it a great product and easy to use. I can now shave my own back without assistance huge plus.

Negatives- the body groomer won’t shave to zero like a razor or anything like hair removal cream, I didn’t expect it to. However it shaves closely. This is good enough for me. You will need to be patient and do many passes to trim down sufficiently. After your first attempt you will become more efficient at shaving and it will take less time. I don’t recommend anyone using this groomer who has a excessively spotty back. I only went over one spot, then blood dripping down my back!!

Overall- a good product, the only real answer I can see to trim ones own back and not involve others. Product is expensive to my mind and the price has fluctuated a lot in the last year or so. I bought a damaged box item, other than box damaged as stated item is perfect as far a I can see. When you get used to it, you will be glad you bought it. My only wish is that it would shave even closer.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOrdered yesterday, arrived today, fully charged in about 30 mins, back shaved in about 10 mins – no pain, no cuts. The extender handle is perfect so no more having to contort myself in order to lose the Yeti look. A wider head would speed things up even more re back shaving but, then again, it would make it less useful for certain other parts of the body. I should add that I got this as a Prime Day deal so didn’t pay full whack.
[update at 23.3.22 – battery no longer holds any charge and you can’t run it from the mains, so it’s effectively dead after 16 months]

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersIf like me you have a thick rug on your chest then go over it with hair clippers first, it’ll save loads of time. Then this baby will get you smooth as a baby’s bum in no time! Once you get the hang of it the back attachment makes doing the back easy, didn’t need clippers first for that so it was a one man job. Absolutely no nicks around the Crown Jewels either, top marks for that department as well. Overall I’m very pleased to say the least, great product as I hated waxing due to it giving me a lot of spots and rashes. Highly recommended

This is one of the best trimmers I’ve ever owned! Comes with three guide combs which are pretty good in terms of length. The design and ergonomics are great. The trimmer is extremely easy to use, especially when coupled with the back attachment (included). Using this without the guide combs gives you the closest trim ever! It literally feels like you have shaved. However because it isn’t shaving and trimming, there are no issues with ingrown hairs. The design on the shaver itself is great as the two teeth on either side are great for trimming longer hairs or for trimming over a wider surface, while the flat trimmer allows you to trim sensitive areas with ease and confidence – no nicks or any pain! So far the battery life has lasted a full hour after a complete charge, considering the size of the trimmer, it’s pretty good.

Easy to charge, set up, charge and use. Very good for the price. First time I used it, I went overboard and shaved my whole body in one fell swoop. Mad. It did everything I expected, though you do have to go over some areas more than once.used bare blade. If you do as I did, make sure you have plenty of moisturiser to put on afterwards, as I had quite bad skin irritation for a few days afterwards, lol. Also be careful around skin tags, as it took off one I had under my arm, but that was my fault for not being careful.

It’s such a relief not having to worry about getting cuts and bruises from a trimmer (especially down there).
This trimmer is very effective, and having the blades on two sides makes it doubly easy to use.
Only issue is the number of combs (3) which is quite limited in my opinion. Also, the “extension” thingy is practically useless. I don’t expect anyone with a serious fur on their back to be able to trim it with this. The battery could last longer.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI really like this, I received the correct version unlike some other reviews and find that with a bit of patience and perseverance it works perfectly. People are so impatient and don’t use these things properly sometimes, yes it takes a few goes to get it right, yes you sometimes have to go over the same place a few times to get it perfectly smooth but why would anyone rush the job and risk cuts etc? The battery life is good, it says 60 mins continuous use but I’ve used it about 10 times so far for 10 mins each time. Charge only takes an hour as well and the various heads mean you can trim to your liking. Overall well worth the purchase and cheaper than most places for this better model.

Golden Review Award: 37 From Our UsersFirst, let’s get the negative out of the way. The instructions. They are just a series of images with a tick to indicate ‘yes, do it this way’ or an X to indicate ‘no, that’s wrong’
The problem is some of the images look identical and have both a tick and a cross. Had they taken the time to include some text with each image it might have been easier to work out, so for that reason, I’m giving a 4 and not a 5, I found this method a little confusing.

Ok, now the positives. I’m in my 50’s, so body scaping is not something that has always been part of my trimming routine. I used to play sports and did trim in areas that may have been on public display in the showers etc because no one wants to look overgrown in the body hair department.

A while back i started to use an electric trimmer, which was probably meant to be used on sideburns or a moustache as it was a facial trimmer rather than one designed for the body, it was more efficient than scissors but I didn’t go too short.

This trimmer works like a dream, it has different length comb/guards so you can decide what length to leave hair. Bear in mind, it’s for use from the neck down. Some may want to ‘bodyscape’ while others may want the smooth look. This trimmer will let you do both. For instance I didn’t realise how much hair I had on my back, or how much fuzz there was till I went to the hospital to have a mole removed, the nurses had to shave the area around the mole and I was shocked at the amount of hair that was on the razor, hence my reason for buying this trimmer. It comes with an easy to use attachment that lets you use it on your back, and it works great, letting you reach the whole of your back. I started trimming with the small comb protector on then went down to the actual razor foil and my back looks like it did when I was a teenager, hair free and smooth again!

It was the first time I charged the unit and it came with a charge already on it so only took a few minutes to get it fully ready, it still had loads of power when I was done so I’ll re-edit this in a few weeks to see how long it takes after a few uses to get back to fully loaded.

All in all a great product, I feel so much cleaner now that I’ve used the trimmer in other areas as well.

I am very pleased indeed with this body groomer and the result it produces. This is the first such product I have bought and although the first use was somewhat challenging, as the shaver didn’t seem to cope with long hair, it now performs very well as a re-trimmer. I agree with the other reviewers who say that the on/off switch is poorly positioned, as the button requires every little pressure and the device switches off easily whilst in use, which can be a little annoying. The shaver charges very quickly and although it has an extending handle, I don’t find this particularly easy to use, particularly on my non-dominant side. The heads have a tendency to scratch a little as the head does not pivot, but these are niggles rather than complaints. Overall,I would recommend this product.
