easy to use
I love this shaver. It is easy to hold and use and leaves my legs nice and smooth very happy. I have not had to charge it yet so the battery is holding up well.
Not good!
Was fantastic April when purchased but now totally blunt.. only use it once a week.. got another two which are working fine at minute.. returns were only upto may 4weeks..
I bought this 6 years ago and it still works. I wanted to replace the foil but to do so costs as much as buying a new razor. Such a pity as we are all trying to mend things rather than throw them away and buy new ones.
There are 2 listings on Amazon for the same price, which look like the same item. One comes with a clear cap, this one comes with a bikini trimming comb. I ordered as a direct replacement for one I’d had for several years and been happy with. Good battery life. Easy to use. Cheap.
Have not used shavers for 35+ years, always found them too slow. Bought this one yesterday because I was getting tired of smelly messy creams and gels….thought at 15 if I didn’t like it nothing much lost.
However, I was thrilled with the performance, have only used it once but oh my goodness I am really, really happy with it.

I bought this to shave my legs as I find it hard to wet shave my shins and I was also sick of buying blades. I wasn’t expecting too much for the price but it’s really really good. It comes with 2AA batteries so you can use it out the box. I honestly prefer it being battery than charger as I have too many different chargers now plus you can use rechargeable ones. It shaves really close.
Took me ages going through reviews, ordered and returned a couple of shavers, after reading reviews on this one I decided to buy it. I am not dissapointed! Now, I have coarse horrible leg hair ( annoying to say the least!) I found I was having to wet shave every day, I needed something to just zap over quick every now and then, this does the job perfectly!! It’s the best shaver I’ve had. Not dead smooth like a wet shave but! Close enough!!! I highly recommend it to anyone who gets annoyed shaving every day, 5 mins both legs done! No soreness, no rash, only thing I’d have liked is a carry case to put it away in but hey, can’t complain too much!
This is also ideal for teenage girls starting to shave.
Quick and easy to use
I bought this item for dry shaving as I wear glasses and can’t get a good result in my shower as I can’t see. It’s a fantastic little razor, gets a good close shave on my legs in super quick time. I haven’t used it on any other body area because I have had permanent laser hair removal so can’t vouch for that but it’s perfect for my legs.
I had a Ladyshave when I was younger and it was great – but this takes it to the next level! This was very quick and very effective – even on 3 months leg growth (don’t judge)! As long as you use it correctly (90 angle to your leg) and don’t go too fast, it will do the job. Normal wet razor shaving takes me a good 25 minutes for both legs (ankle to hip) but with this little beauty – 15 minutes! AND can do it in the bedroom whilst watching TV – bonus! Even better – no cuts!
Would recommend – especially for younger girls to use instead of wet shaving.

I was using a male hair removal machine and I thought it was time to try something appropriate and made for women. Yes “made for women” is the big difference and what filled my expectations. Easy to use, fast, close to the skin, soft, I finished the job in 10 minutes while playing with my daughter… Following the cleaning instructions is extremely important to keep the blades sharp and, for that very reason, the fact dismantling all the small parts makes it much easier. I have a lot of allergies and I expected some post-hair irritation, which didn’t happen. The fact that it is cordless makes it easy and the size is ideal for taking small trips and handbags. I don’t know why it took me so long to buy.
Had many lady shavers in the past, and whilst they great for taking a quick shave never got really close, not like a razor. Was recommended this one, and after reading reviews thought I’d have a go. Arrived next day from amazon, straight out of box, and thought right let’s give this one a go.
Tricky areas like ankles that I tend to nick and bleed like a pig at a slaughter house. This wizzed over smooth and clean removing unsightly black splinters down to an incredibly close shave. Really is satin smooth!
Has a guard for bikini area (not tried that bit yet, but am confident won’t take off my who har) .
Comes with 2 aa batteries so no bloody USB port charging, or wires hanging to get yourself in a tangle.
Phillips you’ve proved me wrong with electric razors don’t go as close as a razor!
only used it on my legs but it’s very good, however first few times you use it your legs will probably be a little irritated, possibly reddy like mine. what works best for me is if I use a moisturiser beforehand (I use palmers cocoa butter) and then also again after, which in my opinion makes your legs the smoothest. a great product considering the price and functionality, definitely recommend!
This really is a fabulous lady shaver, and at a remarkable price too! I have never had a lady shave that gives a good close shave, and had given up on them. However, after struggling for years to use a razor in the shower, and nicking myself too many times, I decided to buy one again. I was worried that it was too cheap to be any good, but I needn’t have worried. The Philips Satinshave did a brilliant job – no stubble and really nice smooth legs. I went out with bare legs and no razor nicks in sight for once. Not so good on the bikini line, but definitely brilliant on legs and under arms. I like the fact that it is battery operated as I never remember to charge devices. So this is always ready to use. This didn’t pinch, catch or scratch. Nice size to hold, and easy to use. Comes with the batteries and a little brush. I am glad I didn’t spend more on a really expensive one, because it couldn’t have been any better than this. I highly recommend. Shame it didn’t come with a little pouch but that will be easy to find one.
Update / Updating from 4 to 5 stars as after over a year in use it’s still going strong! Excellent buy!
What a great little product! This is neat and compact, easy to carry and store and it does the job perfectly. Bought for and used by a teen who is very happy with the results. Easy to use and no risk of nicks. It has been in use now for several months and no complaints. We use cheap and cheerful batteries in it but I do think the branded ones would last longer in this product. Highly recommend

It’s been years since I’ve used an electric shaver and I have to say I’m very impressed. I’ve used it on my underarms and legs and it’s worked a dream, the hair on my legs was millimetre short and it’s managed to make my legs feel nice and smooth with no stubbly bits, same goes for under my arms, they are now lovely and smooth, I think the secret is to take your time, for 15 you cannot go wrong with this, with the price of razors and hair removal creams this shaver will pay for itself in just a few uses. The only negative is that it’s quite difficult to see how the batteries go in, the points are the same but each one goes in a different way and the moulding to show this is the same colour as it’s background, but this is a very small issue. Really I can’t recommend this enough, 5 stars all the way!

I bought one after about using electric razors in the 70/80s when creams and wax and disposable razors came more popular
But I’m sick of cutting my legs on open blades and ingrown hairs and bumps

This is very good. I was looking for a cheap but still high quality epilator and found this one after some digging. I have used this for months and it’s been very good for me. There is a plastic head that can be used on longer hair and it is removable to get close to the skin for an almost clean shave. It comes with a small brush to keep it clean and to remove the hair and comes with a single battery. I received this item a few months ago and the battery is still the same, it has not been changed. It works very well.
Love this razor, being able to use in wet or dry makes shaving fast and easy. It does say that it is not recommended for sensitive areas such as the bikini, and although I have not tried, i do agree. It comes with Phillips batteries included, although i would recommend getting rechargeable batteries as the device itself is not rechargeable. It is lightweight and has reasonably good gripping even when wet, although it is much easier to hold when dry. This would be a good product for someone who may struggle with grip of standard razors. Only bad point is that the speed of the razor is not very fast, i prefer a faster cutting device, however it does not affect the usage and the slower speed allows you to ensure you’re being accurate in your shave. I would highly recommend this device.
As I found out I was expecting, I new that the luxury of spending time on myself will be out of the window. So I thought buying an electric shaver would be quick, easy to use and easy to maintain. I was indeed right! It did not give me a close shave as there are still small grain of hairs about but that is because my hair is very thick and dark, therefore I cannot get a smooth legs unless I wax. I am not at least bothered about a bit of hairs as long as it’s less visible.
Pros:
Small so it’s nice and easy to hold, which makes it simple to glide over legs.
Easy to clean with the small plastic brush.
Can take off top of head to put under warm tap for easy cleaning.
Takes no time at all to do each leg.
I applied coconut oil before I used it for an easier glide and less irritation on the skin.
My advice to anyone who has thick dark hairs; if you don’t mind having very small grainy hairs which are barely noticeable go for it! But if you are a perfectionist on your legs it’s not for you. Anyone with blonde hairs it is very much a product for you, as you would be able to quickly shave and not worry about your hair follicles being noticeable.
I would personally always use coconut oil on legs as my skin is sensitive and it really diminishes ingrown hairs.
All in all I am happy with this product 🙂
Handy little shave
Fantastic little shaver. Very easy to set up and doesn’t pull the hairs, even when pressing down and I shaved both my legs within 5 minutes. It doesn’t leave your legs feeling smooth or it didn’t for me but I didn’t expect that it would.
It is battery operated which is great that you have freedom of movement pros but con being the replacement of batteries. Though you could invest in some rechargeable batteries to save money.
It doesn’t come with a bag but would easily fit into a toiletries bag.
Tip: Make sure you put a towel down if you are doing this anywhere except your bath/shower as the hairs will go on your floor.
My 11 year-old daughter has reached the stage in life where her armpits have sprouted hair, and she’s bothered about it. We didn’t want to use chemical hair removal processes, and felt that moving straight on to a razor was a step too far. Enter the Ladyshave.
The foil and edge clippers do a decent job of shaving the armpits without catching, dragging or irritating my daughter’s sensitive skin, so we’re very happy with it.
This is a wet and dry shaver – the batteries and workings are sufficiently isolated and sealed to allow the Ladyshave to be used in the bath and with soap or other ways of lubricating the skin.
The Ladyshave is supplied with a removable clipper/guide for trimming rather than just shaving.
Fast but stubble...
This product is ideal when I don’t want to get in the shower if all I need to do is shave my legs! This product is very convenient and quick to use. At this point, I have not used the detachable head but it does fit perfectly to the shaver. Unfortunately, I have found that it does leave my legs feeling very stubbly, but I expected that this would not get as close to the skin as a regular wet razor. The stubble on the other hand, is not noticeable. I have not get used this product wet. Its ideal that there is no wire, and my batteries seem to have lasted a while so far!
