There’s a review on here which is quite hilarious, complaining that fine dirt particles aren’t picked up. It’ll pick up everything but it’s only going to hold back what the net can contain (obviously!). For fine particles and sand, I stuffed some kids tights inside, and another pair over the outlet, and then the bag it came with on top of that. Dirt and sand etc sticks to the tights. Hardly rocket science.
My only issue with this is that the nozzle requires alarming force to get the hose on and off.
Silly as it looks and sounds, this thing really works well.
I ordered it tounge in cheek expecting it to be kinda ok but I was blown away with its performance, it could do with a little more angle on the shaft but it sucks up everything and more!!
If your expecting an increadible but of kit that will clean a proper swimming pool spotless like the pool guy does on tick tok then I’m afraid you will be disappointed.
If however, like me, you only want to be able to keep the framed paddling pool clean and also accept at this price it’s not going to be perfect then this is def the product for you!!!
It does a good job, we do have decent mains water pressure which may make the difference. It does fit/work with my hose lock connectors however it does occasionally coming loose and losing suction if I move the hose but I have found the knack (push hose on tight and hold hose still to pole with some slack).
I think trying to use it on a really shallow paddling pool would be difficult too so this product is ideal for the framed paddling pools and small frame pools prob from six foot up to the 14foot ones with at least a good 2+ foot depth of water! Hope this helps!
I was so sceptical about this actually working for the low cost, but I am truly amazed at how well it worked! Wish I’d taken before & after pictures of the pool! Highly recommend (I do have very good water pressure)
This works surprisingly well. Difficult to beat at the price.
I have an indoor pool that is about 6 metres by 3 metres. The supplied handle isn’t long enough for this size pool (unless you get into the pool). However, I had previously bought one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01KI7OTU6, & I was happy to find that the handle fitted perfectly into one of the two sockets provided with the vacuum.
Got this to get the bits out of the bottom of a LayZspa after the kids have been in. As LayZspa’s are round, it is not really possible to get all of the bits that collect round the edges. If I had better water pressure then it might just get those bits, maybe.
The frustrating part…
The hose connection – maybe it is just the type that I have on my garden hose (hozelock) but they do not fit onto this vacuum. Not a major thing aside you have to change the fitting on your hose each time you want to use it. The supplied fitting will also not grip a standard hozelock gun or sprinkler either so you cannot seemingly use it for anything else. Don’t lose or break the fitting or you may need to get a new vac.
I was a little unsure after reading so many negative reviews but thought I’d take a gamble and I’m so glad I did!! I have a Bestway 8ft easy up pool and this is absolutely fantastic for it. I’ve had no problems with the net bag coming off- just make sure you tighten it! It’s picked up everything from the water perfectly and incredibly well. Have since recommended it to another 2 people that are equally happy with their purchase!! Photo shows how much was collected after a very quick sweep round.
Prompt, next day deliver. Straightforward assembly. I had to swap the connector on my hose for the one provided, but fortunately my hose gun still fits. Suction of the floor of my hot tub was enough to hoover up everything. Overall very pleased with this purchase.
This is one of the best pool cleaners I have ever had, it does a great job of sucking up any debris from the pool floor, great value for money and would highly recommend for any pool owne
For the price I’d say it’s brilliant!! Easy to put together, I had instructions with it. Only reason it’s got 4 stars not 5 is because of the bag. Dont get me wrong I found the material and pull string very effective!! However, the video shows the cloud of dirt coming from it as you go over the bottom in areas that the muck has set so will need doing again and the chemicals should also help clear that up, aswel as a fresh filter.
But all in all yes I would definitely recommend it!
The auction is great and this worked perfectly removing all the grit from my lazy spa floor. The mesh is fine and I was surprised that it removed all the gathered grit.

Easy to put together and so easy to use the suction is pretty good to be honest for the price kept my pool clean for the 8 weeks I had it up
This is a low cost option for removing grass, grit and bugs from the floor of a stand-alone pool. It has reasonable suction for what it is but it won’t suddenly clean the floor of the pool like an indoor hoover might on your carpet. It needs to be submersed in water, connected to your hose, with the hose turned on before a vacuum is created to lift the debris. If there is no water in your pool/spa, yes, it will squirt out water as that was not how it works. If you go slowly and move the brush round the pool under the water, it will clear the floor. But it’s not a quick fix, and you will need to be diligent. Pictures show the debris lifted during a 10 minute sweep of our 10ft pool. For the price, you can’t expect it to do the hard work for you. Well worth the money if you have the time.
