I bought this multi-tool to help finish my project, and to be honest it’s a great peice of kit if used carefully-its precise and does linear cuts such as plywood, though you need to let the tool work and don’t force it or it has tendency to scorch, plunge cutters are brilliant and the sanding application is very effective-I sanded down an oak set of drawers that had “blooming on the finish-it made a lovely job and finish was very satisfactory!, haven’t used the grout cutter as yet- the variable speed is a bonus to this tool,my only downside really is the blades do blunt quite quickly, so let the tool do the work and don’tforce the cuts on the low setting, high setting it cuts like a knife through butter- on a whole ,Value for money and I would recommend this product and seller-Thankyou

Very good value. Not top drawer but strong, sturdy and easy to use.

Very good for removing grout from between tiles. Not tried the sander or saw attachments yet. Seems to be robustly made but the biggest problem is the noise even on the lower speed settings. Ear defenders a must if you are going to use it for more than a few minutes.

I needed to get one of these as I needed to cut off some skirting board under a fitted cupboard in my kitchen. Literally took 2 mins. I’m sure I will use it for other DIY projects, but so far 5*’s

I had some rusty corner beading under some plaster in my kitchen. This tool cut a perfect groove into the plaster on each side of the beading. This enabled me to remove the rusted item and then fit new and re plaster the job.
However. The tool that was in the kit, for that type of job. Is now pretty worn and in need of replacing.
    Still.it did a good job!

Good value for the price and seems robust. Very straightforward to use but there is a learning curve to get full use out of it
No storage case to keep all the accessories together.

A good “friend” to all diy enthusiasts and as good as any of the more expensive brands available. Easy to fit different tools for different tasks and straightforward to use.

Value for money, comes with decent different types of blades. Only thing is it gets really hot really quickly! No idea why, gets so hot you can hardly hold it, which is very strange.

Great tool. Unfortunately the one of the locking pins on the spindle has almost worn away. It still works but if another was to go I think I’d have to scrap it. But I’ve used it for sanding, cutting and scraping and it did all no problem. For the price I think it was great value.

Really good multi tool and compares well with better known brands. I’ve used this for removing grout on mosaic tiles and it made the job simple. The power settings are ok, and on a low setting there was little vibration through the tool which makes it comfortable use. For the price this is an excellent addition to the tool shed

I bought this for a single task, but I’ve already found myself using it for several other jobs. It’s not the best multi-tool ever, with a little more noise and vibration than would be ideal and no quick release mechanism… but you really can’t argue with the price, and it works. At this budget price point, that’s all I can really ask fo

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI purchased this many months ago in preparation for my bathroom, i wanted to remove the existing grout from between my tiles and re-grout the bathroom. There is nothing within the box / literature that gives you any advice on the tools [blades] included as to what their intended purpose is, though you can logically work out most. But a little research on line pointed me in the right direction and as i had read blades wear quickly i purchased spares in preparation. Now the unit itself is very much like a 4″/4.5″ grinder to hold and look at, i strongly recommend the use of goggles , dust mask and ear plugs. Because when being used this unit is quite noisy [just like a grinder is noisy] and does create a lot of dust but then that is only to expected as the job i purchased it for would be dusty anyway. Removed grout very quickly indeed but just have to be careful not to catch the tiles as this machine and it’s blades can damage them if used recklessly. But it did a great job for me, dug out and re-grouted a bathroom wall in a few hours. A longer cable would have been helpful as when you are working at the top of the wall close the ceiling the cable does not reach the floor so you are also lifting the weight of an extension socket unless you can raise it up and place it on bench which is not easy in a standard bathroom [a board across the bath helped me cope with that issue]. it has allowed me to do what i wanted quickly so i am more than happy, just a shame the noise cannot be reduced. Hand/Arm vibration would be an issue if using this unit for extended periods but for home use this should not be an issue. For industrial use you would need to be very wary of this in respect of H&S requirements.

I’m doing some renovations on a house and needed something that would help with cutting various materials. Enter the multi-tool.
So far it’s been great for plunge cutting wood, plasterboard, ceramics, plastics with ease and sometimes in awkward places that you just can’t get to with a conventional tool.
The item itself appears quite robust and the attachments haven’t given up on me yet – just make sure you tighten the lock nut properly.
The only downsides worth a mention are the length of cable attached can be limiting (especially when you’re up a ladder) and the noise it makes – by far the loudest piece of kit I have. Get some ear defenders and warn your neighbours before firing it up!
Overall I’m very pleased with this purchase.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersI have virtually every powertool available, from drills, to saws, to planes, to routers, etc, but what I’ve never used before is a multitool, mainly because I’ve never had a task that requires one! This changed recently though when I needed to cut out a portion of skirting board for a unit I was building, but without removing the skirting board from the wall (see pic). I’d heard about these tools, but wasn’t really expecting much – I couldn’t work out how they could cut cleanly without any type of sawing motion! How wrong I was though – this thing is brilliant!

I couldn’t believe how powerful it was to begin with – sounds like a jet engine – and I couldn’t believe how straight it cut without any sawing motion required at all. Just press against the material you’re cutting and it glides effortlessly through.

I have used it for all sorts of different jobs, including cutting out coving in-situ, and a tricky under-sink job where I couldn’t get a normal tool in to cut the required hole.

There is a selection of different attachments (you can easily buy spares when required), and plenty of cord length for the average job. This is now my second-favourite tool out of every tool I own… I couldn’t be more pleased with my purchase, especially considering it’s not even a top brand and didn’t cost much at all!

5.0 out of 5 stars Second Fave Tool!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersExcellent item with all the tools you should need. I looked at all the better known brands and wondered if this was too cheap a bundle but since I already had a detail sander and I really only wanted it to clear out old grout I couldnt justify the extra cost. Its been used since for grout removal, sanding and cutting with very good results. It does vibrate as others have said but not really a problem if only used for 5 or so minutes at a time, which is all I wanted. Nowhere near as bad as, say a hand jigsaw. A carry/ tidy case to keep everything together would have earned the extra star. Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI wasn’t expecting much from a cheap Chinese import tool but I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality of the tool and the accessories. I was looking for something to do mainly knife work, capable of trimming windscreen PU adhesive and perhaps mastic – just one job. When I powered the tool it was very noisy, like a jet engine. I’ve not tried the more expensive brands, but this tool definitely needs ear defenders, although it was surprisingly well balanced with acceptable vibration. My biggest criticism was the speed controller. Their enclosed Technical Data states the motor no-load speed is adjustable 11,000-23000 oscillations per minute. At the maximumum speed setting, I thought the tool was going to self destruct and at the lowest speed it was noisy and I felt it was too fast for craft knife work.

It is hard are hard to get good smooth speed control on small mains motors like this. This tool uses a very simple triac circuit. Moving the speed up to about 4 there was an unstable dead spot in the speed control range. This is a common problem with this type of simple speed control circuit. I’m not bothered about voiding warranty and the lowest speed can be reduced to just above motor stall with a 75k resistor. For me the tool now has more control running at lower speeds for knife work whilst still having good torque.

If you are looking for a well made tool with accessories, can tolerate the noise level and avoid using the maximum speed setting, this is a very good buy. According to the description it should take blades from more expensive tools like Bosch, but I haven’t tried them yet.
