How to use Pro-Kleen Hot Tub, Spa & Whirpool Cleaner
- Remove any loose debris from the filter body
- Add 500ml of solution to a container with 10L of warm water
- Soak the filter in the solution overnight and rinse off in the morning before using it again

Does the job
Once i found a big enough bucket I submerged my filter in the diluted solution and left for 12 hours. It came out like new the following morning and then rinced it thoroughly before leaving it to dry, will now alternate it on a monthly basis with the other filter. Would recommend
Impressive results
Does a good job of cleaning the fats and oils from the filter. I left mine a couple of days fully submerged and now swap one in one out every two months, washing/cleaning the one in situ weekly before deep cleaning

Does the job well
We found this effective and easy to use. Just mix up in a bucket with warm water (we used 250mls for 4 small cartridges) then soak cartridges. All the grime came out into the water. Filters were a little stained but functional again.

It does clean the filter, not completely but if you rinse the filter afterwards and I find using an old toothbrush to get rid of the fluff which doesn’t really disintegrate it helps.

You can see it working as soon as you drop the filters into the solution. Left to soak overnight (approx. 14 hours) and rinsed by squirting the hose at them, think I’ll use the jet wash for ease next time. Overall very happy.
Really effective filter cleane
Works just like it says – it does clean filter cartridges really well. I make up 50 mls in a 500ml paint bucket (10%w/w), leave the dirty spa filter in overnight and then just rinse off with a strong water spray. This means far more than just 10 treatments, I reckon there is enough cleaner to treat 100 filters used this way.
Cleaned my hot tub filter with this the other day. I thought it was reasonably clean, but after soaking in this for 24 hours as per the instructions, the water turned green lol.
Once the filter came out and was rinsed, it was sparkling white again.
Super happy with using this as part of my weekly filter changes.
Had to buy a bucket that was tall enough to fully submerge my filter in.
A solid 10/10 from me. And should be part of everyone’s hot tub maintenance.
Great produc
Excellent product to clean intex pool filters which require replacing frequently due to using a pool heater. I can soak approx 5/6 filters in one go and saves purchasing new ones which would have been very expensive.

At present it is very hard to get hold of the cleverspa hot tub filters unless you want to pay extortionate prices for them on Ebay! This cleaner has definatly helped me out making my filters last longer.
This filter cleaner works really well – I regularly clean the filters with a high pressure hose which removes a lot of debris and returns the filters to a bright white, giving the impression they’re clean.
I followed the same routine and then soaked the filters in this solution for 24 hours – the colour of the water the following day turned my stomach!
Suffice to say, this cleaner gave my filters the deep clean they needed!
Great value for money with the 5l pack.
We have an inflatable CleverSpa hot tub and use Pro-Kleen’s Cartridge Cleaner to revitalise our filters after use, so that we can rotate through a few filters regularly. With a 10L bucket of hot water and 500ml of solution, I soak 4 or 5 used filter at a time overnight to remove most of the gunk they’ve accumulated, and then rinse and dry them, ready for putting back into service.
I’ve attached a photo of a filter that’s just been removed (left) and one that’s just been cleaned and is ready to go back on (right). As you can see, not all of the discolouration can be removed but it’s a marked improvement.
Superb for cleaning Spa filters.
Great product. Only had the chance to use it once do far but it brought my filter back to life. Really clean now and all the horrible dark stains have gone. Really pleased and will definitely be buying some more of this when I am due.
Expensive product
It works well providing you initially clean up the removed filter under a hot tap,then soak it overnight.
But you still have to get into filter creases to remove dust residue.
The product arrived on time in the usual Amazon packaging. I have so far cleaned 2 paper filters and whilst it does not get rid of all the brown discoloration it removes a high proportion. Given how simple it is to use and works overnight followed by a wash with the hose and a filter comb cleaner device one gets a relatively clean filter. Works pretty much as expected.
