Bought this for lego sorting and storage my son loves it and will be definitely buying more, also excellent as can be wall mounted to give more floor space

Fixed securely to the wall, it’s unobtrusive but has enough little drawers to store every screw size that I might possibly need in a simple configuration sorted by size. Should have bought one years ago.

Arrived with a slight dent bottom right rear corner. Does not affect use or broke the paint so not overly bothered as it just going up in the garage. Nice bit of kit compared to the all brittle plastic ones. I don’t understand why they don’t supply the divider inserts with it & a couple of screws & wall plugs ?

This item was great for what I wanted it for however the write up is somewhat misleading. It says its lockable its NOT and it also says it comes with inserts for drawers it DOES NOT. The unit itself is great value so ive not kicked up about it minor issues but people should know these. I would however still recommend this item

We have three of these in the house now. My husband finds them invaluable for the kind of work he does (he’s a part time electrician and a computer repair guy) as it fits all of his bits and pieces and keeps everything organised and tidy.

If they came with labels for marking the drawers, it’d be perfect but we’ve bought labels separately, so that’s not a massive issue.

They’ve always arrived in perfect shape without breakages and they are a very sturdy item. He’s had several cheaply-made ones in the past but these ones are his favourites.

When i purchased this the price was great and should it have stayed the same i would have purchased another. Unfortunately it didn’t stay at the same price so i didn’t.

The product itself is reasonably sturdy with plenty of draws and the holes to allow it to be easily hung on a wall.

My only real grip is that it didn’t come with any insert dividers for the draws which is annoying.

This cabinet organiser is decent enough, lots of drawers offering comprehensive storage options for nuts, bolts, screws and other small parts. The only downside was slight damage to frame and a loose top plate due to a spot weld failure (I’ll likely just braze or solder it).

Super easy to mount to the wall with a little measuring, two screws and wall plugs, and a level and it’s sturdyly installed.

Lots of draws that can be labelled and hold a fair amount. Im using it for various bolts, nuts, screws, washers, drill bits, driver bits, etc. So a lot of weight and it seems fine, no bending or anything

If you have the wall space, I recommend this for storing the little bits and pieces that usually clutter up your work space.

    Sturdy well constructed cabinet.
Durable plastic drawers that fit well and slide well.
    Good sizing inside the drawers.
Sturdy even when used free-standing, does not topple.
I am about to purchase my third one (for use in my workshop and for my son’s small lego parts) because this is by far the best storage cabinet I have come across and incredibly good value given its metal construction and sturdiness.

Quite light gauge metal case, but it’s as good as it needs to be. The drawers are quite deep but can be sectioned up with dividers if required. Mine is free standing but easy enough to wall mount.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI don’t often leave reviews but the speed of which these arrived and how well packaged they were really need to be remarked on.
I ordered on the 14th of Sep and it arrived less than 24 hours later on the free delivery option. This wasn’t a prime purchase and came direct from Rapid Electronics. Rapid by name and rapid by nature!

I bought two and both were well packaged in carboard boxes with air bags to protect them during transit.

I’m using my new system for my sewing stuff. Mainly bag hardware and poppers. The draws are perfect for this as they are small enough not to be wasted with loads of dead space when small items go in them yet big enough for some of my bigger D rings and swivel clips.

The lower bigger draws are great for tools such as long nose pliers and scissors and zips.

If you are considering this for threads the small draws are not wide enough for guttermann spools when places length ways but you can get 6 100m spools in long ways. (colour of thread end showing)

The draws have slots for labels but the labels are not provided (which isn’t an issue for me) but you can also label using a label gun (which is my plan).

Best of all the draws can be gently lifted out of the frame and then popped back in when you’ve finished. There are metal rails at the back that stop the draws falling out. The organizer i’m replacing didn’t have this feature and it meant the trays would fall out the back if not against the wall.

There are holes at the pack for hanging on a wall and on the top and bottom if you wanted to screw more than one together (fittings not supplied).
I don’t suggest trying to stack them without being fixed together.

All in all I think i’ll order a few more of these in the near future as they are great for needles, bobbins, threads…. literally everything and anything! They look smart in the metal frame- much nicer than the plastic frames I had previously.

    Thank you Rapid Electronics.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe Raaco Organiser is sturdy and well made, mine is currently loaded with about 20Kg of screws and other bits of hardware. The trays have a stopper to stop them coming completely out by accident but still allow you to take them out easily on purpose when needed. The pictures do make the organizer look flimsy, but this is not the case.
On the rear of the case, you will find 2 brackets that enable you to mount the organizer to a wall or you can just sit it on the bench or shelf.
I bought this because I needed a better way to store all the screws, nails and other hardware, if I buying another on I would probably look for one that has a handle on the top to be able to pick it up and move it, like I said I have about 20Kg of stuff in it now and having to try and clamp you hands at the side of it to move it is somewhat difficult.

    Pros
Sturdy, nice draws with stops, mounting brackets
    Cons
No handle to pick it up makes it difficult to move once loaded.

4.0 out of 5 stars A well made organizer suited for mounting

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI really like this item because it stores all your bits and bobs into one place. Instead of all the tubs or small plastic containers. I gave one star less but I was being a bit mean. It was because it needed was some labels. I had to make my own which took ages but apart from that I’m happy. Easy to find the small things in the shed now.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well made and strong for the money paid

Well made and decent sized drawers. It is wall mountable, but bear in mind the weight when fully loaded.
It was initially purchased for a few Lego projects and it was perfect for keeping the parts separate and easy to put away mid-build.
This has now created so much space in my garage by keeping all of those boxes and packets of screws and small parts in one place.
Drawers are translucent enough to see the contents without having to open every one

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for sorting and storing Lego pieces.

Great compartment organiser if it arrives in one piece. Mine arrived with body falling apart in top right corner. I fixed it as it’s a low value but 3* for sturdiness. Apart from that great item.

I have used RAACO storage before. The unit really needs to be fixed to a wall for complete stability, but I already knew that. Ideal for small (and some larger) components – I am storing integrated circuits and other electronic components.

  19. Anonymous says:

The storage box is offering plenty of space for all my bolts and nuts. I would prefer to have some dividers as some of the drawers are too big for the quantity of bolts that I have.
Another issue is the fact that I can’t add tags so usually I have to search through drawers until I find what I need.
But apart from that is a nice product to help organise my shed.

  20. TawannaIsom says:

The product itself is great value for money. The main problem we find is that there are no stoppers on the drawers so if you lose your grip and drop the drawer then there are a lot of little bits to find & pick up. I would still buy another though

  21. Thomas Garvey says:

This is my second storage box thingy. I bought a Draper one for close to 50 a few months ago; that same one is now around 30 so is on par with this price-wise.

If I had to buy another, I’d get this Raaco one again as it’s sturdy, has more small and large trays and there isn’t much difference in quality. This is stacked so that it is tall whereas the Draper is lower but wide so if space is an issue then bear that in mind.

Other than that, go for it!

  22. FreyaRudolph says:

The product is very sturdy due to the cabinet being metal, the little boxes hold quite a lot and are great because you can see what’s in them, I gave 4 stars because I think adding labels fit the drawers would have been a nice touch. Well worth the money

I’m an electronics hobbyist and these units are perfect for storing components of varying sizes. I agree with other reviewers that dividers for the drawers would have been really useful – they are designed to take them – but I have just cut some 51x35mm rectangles from sturdy card to divide up the smaller drawers and they make a good replacement. Overall really good value for money, recommended for any fellow hobbyists.

Ordered two both arrived in a box but not packaged that great, one was ok and one was damaged and slightly out of shape and the spot weld at bottom base was broke so i did a return and asked for a replacement which wouldn’t arrive until nr end of April 🙁 so cancelled and reordered still a week to wait tho ! sent back on same day it arrived.
Both of these arrived as next day delivery so very good just ashame the re ordered replacement ones take longer to arrive, also disappointed that you have to purchase the tray separators as an extra they should come as part of this cabinet hopefully the replacement will arrive undamaged and i am refunded for returned item. Over all very sturdy and great for my garage far better than the plastic ones which warp and go out of shape over time.

Make no mistake, Raaco drawers and racking are among the best in terms of quality and affordability. I’m very pleased with the unit in that sense. However, I am rather annoyed that whilst the draws have slots for dividers to fit into, none are included! I’ve now had to source some elsewhere (at an additional 10) cost to make proper use of this unit for storing electrical components.

Seriously Raaco, they must cost you next to nothing, can’t hurt to throw a few in…

Was looking for one of these for a while to store all my bits in and this does just the job, I have now managed to empty many small boxes and save space, I now know where all my little bits are and no need to sort through them all to find what I need.
The frame is metal and the drawers are made of a sturdy plastic, there are two holes on the rear so you can hang it on the wall if you wanted, just drill and place screws in the wall and then hang this on them.

  27. WinifreNull says:

    Does what it says.
Good quality, the main cabinet is made of metal.
Each drawer has a space for a label – I used DYMO labelling for each one, fits fine.
Just do not tip it forwards or all the drawers would fall out!
Could easily be screwed to a wall through the back and there actually are hanging holes ready in place on it (so could be hung on a shed or garage wall etc for bits and bobs, nails, screws etc).

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI needed somewhere to store my growing stock of electronic project parts and this seemed to fit the bill. There are 40 small drawers suitable for resistors, capacitors, LEDs, semiconductors, etc. 3 larger drawers for bulkier items like LCD and TFT displays. Finally there is one large drawer at the bottom where I store microcontrollers such as Arduino boards and Raspberry Pis.
The drawer fronts allow labels to be slotted in and also have ridges internally for dividers allowing a drawer to be divided into two or three compartments. No labels or dividers are supplied which is the reason 1 star is deducted. I would have been happy to pay a little extra for a set of blank labels and a few dividers. I can get by without the dividers at the moment, but when I run out of empty drawers, it would be handy to be able to have two different colours of LED in the same drawer with a separator rather than using two drawers which is the current situation.
Labels, however, are essential from the start, so I resorted to some scissor work on sheets of plain white card and made a set. I figure I can probably probably cut up a plastic food carton to make dividers in a similar manner when the time comes. A few pennies worth of cardboard and paper would have made the difference between a good product and a great product.
The outer shell is metal and well constructed. The drawers are a plastic which is slightly flexible which means they will survive a knock without damage unlike the plastics used for CD jewel cases. There is a stop the prevents the drawers from being pulled right out unless you pull the drawer out as far as it will go and then lift up the front so that the back end can duck under the stop.
Overall, a good solution for storage of small to medium size parts for many hobbies and occupations.

Excellent product – we use it to store lego men in it (I have a v organised child!) However, we did receive it damaged. One of the plastic drawers was broken. A huge shame – amazon were great and took some money off it, but we would have preferred a perfect unit.
This is heavy and v good quality, so I recommend.

Overall this is makes for very nice parts storage. The rame itself is metal which is really nice and depending on the size you choose, it’s more than enough to fit a lot of components.

My only gripe with mine is that, possibly due to shipping or poor quality control, mines came with the top of the frame detached in one corner. I decided to keep it since it’s at the top so it’s doesn’t realyl create a structural problem, I may also be able to fix it myself, but it’s something worth noting. Otherwise, pretty happy with it.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersGuys, I would give you 6 stars if would be possible 😉 because this is exactly what I wanted.
Plenty of possibilities – 44 drawers you can divide for 2, 3 or 4 sections.
Good size for domestic workshop but also could be useful for bigger projects.
If you srew it to a wall in 4 corners is stable like a rock!
    Extremely fast delivery!!!
In overall – great product and service!

Now lets talk about post and courier service…
You have to do something with it!!!
Cardboard box came torn in a few corners…
and my daughter’s gift for Father’s Day looked like on attached images… disaster!
The post and couriers’ service is getting worse and worse every day, and it is affecting good names of sallers.

But as I said – this storage box is perfect!
    Thank you!

Golden Review Award: 107 From Our UsersI really can’t understand the mentality of some people and the reasons for they give for a review? When I look at a review there are certain things I want to know, to convince me if I should buy the item or steer clear of it. For example, as an engineer I often get the odd product DOA (dead on arrival), these things happen. What is important is how promptly that issue is dealt with and resolved.

I strongly feel the star rating is strictly reserved for the product and whether it is any good or not.

However, I do want to know if
    1. The item is fit for purpose -does it do what is claimed
    2. Is it reliable – if not how was the issue dealt with by the vendor
    3. Were there any problems with delivery — if so, how did the vendor help to resolve them
    4. How were DOA items (or damaged items) dealt with by the vendor. Remember that the contract is with the vendor, not the delivery man.

    My Review:
PRODUCT: I find it very good and does what was described. Being of metal construction, it is sturdy.
However, it would have been some nice to have items such as Label stickers for the drawers and some compartment dividers included – they were not mentioned in the description and not supplied with the product.

DELIVERY: Typical Amazon, delivered when they said
(THIS IS A MOAN: I do in general feel that Prime is a bit of a con paying 80 per year for next day delivery, when primed marked items are generally a bit more expensive than non-Prime items and not all Prime items are next day delivery — Moan over)

VENDOR: pretty transparent in this transaction. However if there are any issues I will update this post.

Golden Review Award: 52 From Our UsersGood quality powder coated metal frame with polyurethane type pull out tubs not the usual brittle plastic ones. Tubs are nice and deep enough and at 20 inches tall and 12 inches wide it’s not too small. Can be free standing or wall mounted. The wall fixings and screws are not included but rawlplugs and 4 Screws is all that’s needed if you decide to walk mount it. All in all an excellent storage solution for the screws and washers type things that usually end up in a box all mixed up.
Arrived well packaged the day after it was ordered. Super service. Will buy another if I fill this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality unit at a good price

  34. ErrolM26xxwutq says:

Simple, effective design that just works. As per other reviews/questions, you don’t get anything in the box except the metal frame and the plastic drawers. I would have expected dividers and label cards to be provided at this price, especially since the drawers have holders for both. Quality is good – most importantly the polypropylene drawers won’t split or crack easily and the metal frame is not flimsy – but value for money is perhaps a little lacking. Screw pitch for wall-mounting is 282mm (+25mm if mounting two or more side by side).

  35. Anonymous says:

This item is completely perfect and exactly what I wanted to keep any and all random trinkets and bits and bobs in as the drawer sizes are ideal. Only problem was it has arrived with a small split in the metal at the top and one large dent at the bottom a couple of inches across which makes a couple of drawers difficult to open but not impossible. I think these and a couple of other small dents may be due to the way it was packaged wrapped only in bubble wrap rather than in a box, hence the 4 stars not 5. Other than this, a very very happy customer.

  36. eliben says:

This is a very useful cabinet to keep all the little bits together so I can find them. The cabinet frame is quite substantially made in steel. The drawers are plastic but strong enough, there are little lugs at the back of each drawer so that when you pull it out too far it does not fall out, this however is pretty ineffective.
I would however like slots in the front of the drawers so that I could put labels in. I have only just finished putting things in a number of the drawers and even now I can’t remember which I put things in, there are so many drawers which is why I got it.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersOver the years, I have accumulated lots of bits and pieces (particularly screws) for my ‘DIY’ work. Most of them are still in their (opened) original packaging and lost in carrier bags on shelves or cluttering up worktops in my garage. I finally decided to do something about it and the Raaco Organiser seemed like a good place to start.

As soon as I put it on a flat surface, I noticed it was a bit ‘wobbly’. I think this would have been alleviated if the cabinet had rubber feet but because the frame of the cabinet is in direct contact with the surface on which it it placed, it exacerbates any warping in the chassis. However, this can be fairly easily solved with some cardboard under one corner. It also has holes in the back for wall mounting which would also circumvent the problem. I can’t say whether all of them have this problem or just the one I received so I knocked off one star from my rating just in case.

Apart from that, you get a lot of drawers for your money:
    40 x small drawers, inner dimensions 138L x 51W x 35D mm
    3 x medium drawers, inner dimensions 138L x 98W x 57D mm
    1 x large drawer, inner dimensions 136L x 274W x 56D mm

The drawers are actually quite long so I bought some dividers to get even more storage. These are the ones intended for this cabinet http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000RO64K4?ref_=pdp_new_dp_review

I am fairly certain that this cabinet will at least solve my screw problems although I may need another one for all my other bits and pieces. If I have enough stuff to justify 44 drawers then then I will buy another one of these regardless of the wobble.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersI ordered this for my husband as he is determined to organise all his screws / bolts/ nails etc. It arrived two days earlier than estimated which was brilliant and the company sent me tracking numbers to trace its progress. It came well package and protected and delieved by a carrier so was obviously treated with care. The box itself is really well made and a lot cheaper than what appears to be an identical box also on Amazon and much stronger than the plastic alternatives which we have had before. I took a tip of an earlier reviewer and ordered this instead of the expensive one. It is a metal casing containing 44 small boxes ( approx 50mm by 140mm) three medium boxes ( 85mm x 140mm) and one large box (270mm x 140mm). The boxes are made of very durable plastic and have a slot in the front so you can lable them up. The box has two holes in the back for fixing it to the wall but my husband will be drilling two more at the bottom ( again a tip from an earlier review). It will be ideal for our needs and will last for years as the metal appears to be powder coated to protect from the rust. A really good buy and great value for money.
