I like how sturdy this water bowl is. It goes in our camper van with us for the dog and there are no spillages that come from the bowl or dog beard.

We now have 2…one for the motorhome and another for the car. Neither have ever spilled. We also have friends who use it in their house to stop the floor getting wet and it works well.

I bought this to put in the car so my dog has access to water during car journeys. I am just amazed at how the water doesn’t spill. I can literally turn it upside down and no water comes out! It’s a bit difficult taking it apart, but it’s perfect otherwise.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a very good sturdy water bowl.

    Pros:
    – The plastic is thick and sturdy
    – The base has 4 velcro strips to have the bowl stay put while your pet drinks off of it
    – It is designed well with a restraining plate floating on top of the water so your pet can lick from it rather than immerse its full mouth in it

    Cons:
    – No spare foam provided. That foam is the one keeping the restraining plate afloat and if that is lost or damaged while cleaning, the whole bowl would be a waste.

Material is thick so not bendy. I have taken the middle section out atm as my puppy’s were finding it hard to push down. Once they are bigger it will be popped back in. Very pleased.

Bought this for my border collie to use in the car whilst travelling and it’s an amazing bowl. Keeps water fresh, clean and doesn’t splash or spill. Made of heavy plastic, strong and sturdy. Would definitely recommend

Very good product. Sturdy, easy to clean. Works well in the car. Has saved a watery mess from occurring in the kitchen too. Could be used almost anywhere.

    Highly recommended

    Large bowl is very large!
We obviously had “small” last time which definitely suited our Border Collies more but, hey ho, we’ll make do! I should have looked more closely at dimensions.

This is by far the best no spill water bowl we’ve had. We have a Doodle, hairy face with a beard, he drips like a hippo and this has cut that down by 80% I used to dab his face after each drink even though we had a lapping bowl but not now. The float device is one piece where as our old one came apart and allowed water to seep in which could get mouldy if you let it. This bowl is so easy to clean, it’s robust and should last years.

Works well, we have it in the boot of the car, when taking the dog out. Our dog is very happy using this bowl, so much better than the travel bowls, as you don’t have throw the contents away, when the dog has finished drinking.

Really impressed with this waterbowl. It dispenses enough for the dog to drink. Bought as my dog had an operation and had to be confined to a pen so wanted something that he wouldn’t knock over. The Velcro tabs keep it firmly on the ground. Will be using in the car on long journeys. The only slight downside is getting the black rim off as it is quite stiff but just give it a good pull and it does come off.

I have bought three of these now, having got the first one to put in our Campervan. I’d seen it on Dragon’s Den, and thought then that it was a great idea, and friends who had one raved about it, I decided to buy one. Having used it in the ‘van, I saw how, as well as preventing spills when travelling, or carrying a full bowl, it also prevents splashing when the dog is drinking. Our Labrador is a very splashy drinker, but when she’s drinking from this, the floor stays dry. The only negative I have to say about it, is that it can be tricky to see how much water is in it, and can be fiddly to fill if you do it properly by taking the top off and tipping the float plate out so you can see the Max Fill line. You can just add water with it fully assembled, but there is a bit of guess work involved there, and filling through the holes in the floating plate can be slow. Very good value, well made, and extremely sturdy, even including velcro pads so it grips onto carpet, and companion sticky backed pads if you want it to stick to a slippery surface

A nice sized bowl. We use these for our 2 dogs in the back of the car.

The addition of a few ice cubes in the water under the floating part keeps the water very cold even after those long hot dog walks.

I was amazed how well it was spill resistant. Even when I turned it upside-down to see what happened, hardly anything came out.
The additional velcro on base of bowl makes this stick well on boot liner carpet.

Bought this as one of my dogs gulps water and gets it all over the floor and also kept tipping the water bowl over! It has slowed him down when drinking but water still goes on the floor, not as much but still does. He doesn’t tip this bowl over. I also don’t have any problems cleaning the bowl as some customers reported.

Its a bit stiff and tricky to pull off the lid, but hopefully will loosen in time as not great for the older person with weaker strength.
Bowl seems to slow down the drinking and certainly a lot less water spillage around the bowl/floor.

I liked the idea of this, however in practice, not so much.

So the item itself is made from strong PVC, and after removing the foam insert, the bowl now floats to the top of the water (couldn’t find anything referring to this elsewhere).

The issue is refilling and cleaning – although yes it is easy to fill (just pour a jug of water in the top), taking the lid off can be a bit tricky and stiff, to the point where in actual fact, I might just go back to a normal bowl!

I guess its ok for a dog that doesn’t drink that ofte

The bowl can be a little awkward when taking apart to refill but it does the job. Cuts down on the drips from the dog after drinking and is stable in a ca

I bought this in the hope my dog would drink more water, and he does. The product is sturdy and well made, the black lid is quite difficult to take off but it stays on when it is on. Would recommend buying this.

Seems to work quite well. Our dog can’t knock it over accidentally and it will withstand a reasonable amount of swaying( you can tilt it almost 90 degrees so would be fine in a pet cage in a car unless you are doing hill racing).
It is slightly difficult to pull apart to clean, some kind of grip within the plastic mould to take the black collar off is surely possible.
You can’t see how much water is left. You can see if there is any in at all but it’s guesswork if it needs refilling.
Because it has the Velcro type pads on the bottom you have to be careful when cleaning – wouldn’t be suitable for putting in a dishwasher for example.
It works reasonably well and our dog took to it straight away. It’s not cheap for a plastic bowl and there are a couple of minor issues that make it fiddly to use so loses a star.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWe have a Labrador that developed a messy habit of dribbling water all over the wooden floor, we’ve had a few of these bowls over the year and they seem to work Ok at the start and get less effective the longer you have them (wear & tear I guess of the foamy bit on the inside of the platform).

They can be a bit stubborn to open (where you prise the black collar off) but it obviously stops a dog from being able to get in to it. I’ve also never seen this topple over, so if you have a dog that likes sticking his paws into things and sending things everywhere, this would be a good step in the right direction to stop that happening.

So… does it work? Well to be honest, a lot of this obviously comes down to the messiness your of dog – this bowl won’t fix a messy dog, but it will make it better. It limits the amount of water they can access in 1 gulp, which in turn limits the amount of water they have in the mouth to spill everywhere.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersMy dog, love her that I do, can be a real tinker at times. Not least when she’s drinking from her water bowl. She is at her happiest when she’s splashing the contents across the kitchen floor and then paddling it throughout the house. Bless her.

The Road Refresher non-spill bowl drastically reduces this behaviour. What you’ll receive is a bowl of three-part construction. The reservoir is a stand plastic bowl holding a good volume of water. You fill to the marked max line, and then place a floating plastic top inside the bowl. This sits on the surface of the water with a few holes in the middle through which the water seeps through. It allows enough water for your dog to comfortably drink from, and reduces their ability to splash around in the bowl. A third piece of black plastic snaps over the top to form a rim preventing the floating piece from being removed and also further reducing splashing.

In operation the bowl works exceptionally well. It doesn’t entirely eliminate water around the bowl as the dog can still put a paw in and paddle it around, but it significantly reduces the volume of water. The bowl is sturdy and comes with Velcro pads underneath which reduces it being dragged around by demanding dogs. Such is the capabilities of this bowl I also have on that I keep on the back seat of the car where our dog travels. Even with the rake of the seat squab it doesn’t allow over-spilling.

If I have a criticism, I would say that the black rim/lid can be difficult to remove, although it is freeing up with continued use, but this is only a minor issue with an otherwise excellent and problem-solving product.
