Its Roccat, its awesome. the low profile but exposed key look is really my vibe, also makes it super easy to clean and keep on top of. Lack of some dedicated macro buttons sure, but the easy shift feature allows you to make use of any key as a macro. feels nice to type with and also the switches in this one aren’t actually that clicky in comparisons to others.
Reassuringly clicky with great lighting
Great keyboard for typing. The keys have a short travel with a reassuring slight click. Not too loud and not too soft. The LED’s are bright and the colours are true RGB without any ‘bleed’. The keyboard doesn’t flex, is nice and solid and the frameless construction looks great.
A great keyboard!
I personally love this keyboard as it has great sound and feel to it, not even mentioning the RGB! The wavy RGB goes perfectly with the black tone of the keyboard. The thoccy feel just makes me want to type more with this keyboard(I’m typing this review with it too!). Honestly, I think its the best pre-made keyboard you can get not he market!
Wonderful keyboard
Ive just come from a Corsair strafe mk.2 and I love this keyboard. Build quality feels better and the Titan tactile switches (made by tkl I think, and feel alot like cherry MX brown). The switches are not easily replaceable (soldered to the board) and due to the switch design although it uses a cherry like stem, you have to be careful if changing the caps. However, the switches are pretty quiet for mechanicals and in my opinion feel beautiful. The swarm software is good enough (no worse than icue!) And once setup, unlike Corsair keyboarss, volume keys etc still work with swarm uninstallee after configuration.RGB Lighting options are limited in software, but it works flawlessly with SignalRgb. I highly recommend this keyboard.
A really excellent keyboard
I have bought many different keyboards over the years in my work as a software and database developer. Until recently I had always stuck with low profile membrane keyboards and usually went with Logitech (K740, K750, MX Keys etc) and always found them to be great keyboards – reliable, comfortable and always sub 100. In the past few years, mechanical keyboards have come to the fore and I felt it was time for me to delve into this previously untested area. I started with the Roccat Vulcan TKL (non Pro version) and loved it immediately. Very comfortable typing experience, solidly built with the best RGB output I have ever seen! I paid just over 100, (115 from memory) for this board and I considered it a very good buy. Soon after, I was swayed by the Logitech G915 TKL, which, don’t get me wrong, is an excellent keyboard, but at nearly 200 is overpriced and I was generally underwhelmed with it. It is a great keyboard, well built with a slightly better typing experience than the Roccat (slightly larger keycaps and fractionally more comfortable to type on) but really not worth 200. The RGB output is very tame in comparison to the Roccat too. I had wondered about the Pro version of the Vulacan and when I saw Amazon had it with 40 discount, I just had to get it to try it out. I have really not been disappointed! It is a brilliantly built keyboard with a a very similar, but improved typing experience over the non-Pro version. Maybe the optical switches make a slight difference, I am not sure, but I am loving this board. For the price, even at full price, it knocks spots off the G915 with a nearly 50 saving. Essentially, any of the 3 keyboards mentioned here will be very good purchases, but the Roccat is a bargain as well as a very good buy.
MY Favourite Keyboard Eve
Love Roccat keyboards so much, 3rd one so far. This is my very favourite one so far. Great look, great typing, very very easy to keep clean and the SWARM software is a breeze to use.
Great product, well worth the money
Firstly, if you’re all for how “clicky” your keyboard is then you shouldn’t look anywhere else. The feel and sound of the key pressing on this keyboard is literally like none other I’ve had before. I’ve been through a good amount of mechanical keyboards in the past and the feel of these optical keys is just superior to them. They’re all so easy to collect dust in places that you can’t access, with this design and the top key caps they’ve used, keeping your keyboard dust & mess free is just too simple. I also love the brushed aluminium plate and how thin the keyboard is. Just all round the best keyboard I’ve ever purchased, looks, feel, lighting and the quality of it. Would definitely recommend Roccat.
Excellent keyboard.
I did buy this from Scan Pc, but I was a display model and the leds did not work. So I returned the item and bought it from here. It’s a great keyboard, compact and the red switch keys are slick. The keys are slightly more spread out than I’d like, I prefer the keys to be ready close together. That said the build quality on this with the metal cnc panel is spot on. Definitely recommend.
Beautiful compact keyboard
Lovely solid keyboard, with an inoffensive, silky but satisfying click. Keys really easy to clean around with a paintbrush. Lighting effects nice and bright but only really use the pre-programmed ‘aimo’ which is spot on. Physical sound volume is great and has a good solid feel to it, much easier than looking for volume controls on various apps and browser windows. Swarm software that supports this is a bit overblown (useful for someone who wants to record macros though) however, have fallen a bit in love with the sound feedback so I can have a loud, in headphone traditional clicky sound when coding without annoying anyone (well …if I was back in the office).
Have an older Roccat Kone EMP mouse however, it isn’t compatible with aimo lighting effects which is a shame. Newer models do.
Bought this as a treat for myself and found it was the best keyboard I’ve ever had for coding. Its responsive, has excellent key spacing – which reduces fat-finger typing mistakes and has the | / @ symbols all where they need to be (last keyboard needed some arcane key combos). I can type a smidge faster during a long day and as odd as it sounds this keyboard is..just fun. Its tkl and I haven’t missed them but I notice the extra desk space.
If I was moving this keyboard around a lot I’d be worried about the USB-C /HDMI connecting cable which is not braided and finding generic replacements might be difficult as the USB-C port is shaped to hold the connection snugly.
Not much more to say other than I love it. Zero buyers remorse. Would buy again. Highly recommend.

Amazing
Having seen reviews on this Keyboard i thought id go for it and ive not been dissapointed. Keyboard is the best ive ever used and my last was a K70 which always had errors cos the software is not good but this Roccat is brill.
Great feel, looks lovely.
I would give this 5 stars but as with other reviews, the keys will start to not register. From some googling I’ve found it’s because of the fact that the switches aren’t dustproof. I bought some electrical contact cleaner, removed the key caps from the problem switches, depressed the keys, and then sprayed some of the contact cleaner in. Press the switches a few times so it has the chance to pick up any dust and then I left it overnight to completely dry. You could probably leave it for just an hour or two but I’d rather be safe than sorry.
This fixed all my issues and I still have the same can of electrical contact cleaner which I use whenever a key starts to not work properly. Sadly this does have to bring down my rating a star to 4 stars, but still an excellent keyboard.

Initally, i was gonna buy the pyro which is like 80 and full sized keyboard but as i have used asus membrane gaming keyboard for a while i wanted to try a ten key less keyboard as it is more ergonomic. So i decided to get this.
BEST PURCHASE EVER. This is my first ever mechanical keyboard so i can say that im enjoying it thoroughly.
THE APP lets you customise the keyboard on a whole different level. Per key customisation is just too good.
Although the key caps ARE NOT PBT so they may not last as long. I will just have to see
BUT overall im quite satisfied.
100% recommend if you are lookign for a tkl keyboard.

Great keyboard, crisp tactile keys.
First to say: I bought the keyboard in used condition “acceptable”, therefore I can’t say anything about the original packaging since there was none. I knew it before and took my chances to save over half of the original product price.
Anyway: the keyboard came in plain amazon packaging with lots of bubble foil, love that!
Other than stated there were absolutely no signs of usage, scratches or other imperfections noticeable.
The keys are crisp and the brushed white-silverish aluminium looks very good! Installation was a piece of cake and with roccats own software “swarm” a configuration was quickly done.
The colors from the RGB’s are bright and since I own other AIMO peripherals from roccat I could compare them quite good.
Other than different reviews stated, I couldn’t find much of an imbalance colourwise. In fact it looks really good together.
Only one little bit of critique:
In the item description it says that the keyboard is in “English language” but it does not tell you if it’s a UK or US layout. Since I bought it over amazon UK I assumed it would be the UK version.
I was wrong! So if you have trouble to work with an US layout you should be careful.
Extremely comfortable to type on.
I haven’t had many keyboards in my time, but this has got to be the best so far. The keys respond well to soft and aggressive presses. Reasonably quiet with the brown switches compared to my previous keyboard, which had MX red’s which is to be expected. Response while gaming seems sharp; I have seen an increase in my capabilities while typing, which is a plus. I highly recommend this keyboard. I Will update if any issues arise during the life of the keyboard.
Not cheap but worth the money if you have it.
This is a great keyboard. I have owned mine for a few months now. It is absolutely not the cheapest however I feel like I got what I paid for.
It looks fantastic and feels like good quality. The brushed steel casing looks awesome and the RGB has some great vivid colours. Each key has its own LED and with the Roccat swarm you can set up to 4 individual profiles with game specific keys highlighted. The program also has a list of macros for a good selection of around 40 popular games built in.
The keys are well spaced with enough space to get a cotton bud (that’s Q-tip for americans) between the keys for cleaning.
The downsides I have with mine is that when typing that certain keys won’t always register the first time (noticeably wasd) but that might just be my unit. The other downside being that these were quite difficult to find. I purchased mine from amazon’s “damaged packaging” list for around 150

I love this keyboard. It is satisfying to type with, the RGB is excellent, and overall it just feels like a quality product.
The TKL size is perfect for my desk space as well.
If you are willing to stump up the money, I don’t think you will be disappointed with this.
Looks awesome, solidly built with precision lighting, great key travel, feel and feedback.
This is probably one of the nicest keyboards I’ve ever tried. Not only does it look and feel amazing, it’s great to type with. The keys offer a really good level of travel and are very responsive and tactile. The RGB lighting is spot on and the keys are precision engineered to look razor sharp and so clear, I love it. The keyboard doesn’t feel like cheap plastic, it feels dense, high quality and made to last. There’s no numpad I know, but this is designed for gaming so you’re not going to need that. One thing to be aware of is the keys are quite loud to press, almost like a typewriter but this is part of the responsive feedback and is actually very satisfying. You just wouldn’t want to use this in an office. The volume knob is a really nice touch and also feels really nice to use. Can’t really think of anything I don’t like about this. It just depends if this is the sort of keyboard you’re looking for.
Well-made, ergonomic keyboard. Poor software.
I am quite pleased with this keyboard and definitely an upgrade from my previous, middle-of-the-road keyboard of an unknown brand.
What I like:
– Each key presses in super smoothly and has a nice feel to it.
– I find that I am more accurate when typing because the keys have a very nice separation between each other.
– It is quite a compact keyboard but without being too small: I have more space on my desk without losing quality on the keyboard itself.
– It is quite a low keyboard meaning it is quite an ergonomic product and allows your wrists to rest in a natural way (which is great if you use the computer for long periods of time).
– I can create profiles which is great, especially for gaming.
– The lights are pretty cool and build a nice mood when gaming.
What I don’t like:
– Well, mostly the software, really. I have, unfortunately, had some issues as some other reviews mention. I am able to run it and set things up pretty smoothly but I have had it crash on me a few times which is really, really frustrating and something I have not encountered before with other customisable products (my mouse also has customisation options and it works perfectly every time). This could just be my computer or the version of Windows I am running but it is worth noting nonetheless.
All in all, the keyboard itself is fantastic, definitely the best one I have ever owned, the software does let it down in some ways but I have managed to run it without issues plenty of times, just a shame it does crash here and there.
The kids love i
Our boys spend absolutely ages gaming on the computer and they have wanted one of these for ages. The design is ultra-cool and the lighting system makes the use of the product really attractive.
The keys are really smooth, the volume is great, the ease of use fantastic and even though I am not a gamer myself the kids rate it very high.
The colours are great on the keyboard.. really impressive. Other people seem to of had problems using the swarm software but we have had no issues.
The best thing about the keyboard for me though is the keys.. they make a really satisfying thud with really smooth use.
Finally! The real deal when it comes to gaming keyboards.
First thoughts:
Unfortunately I’ve recently come to realise that keyboards and mice claim to be for gaming because they have an RGB light system and very little else. This Vulcan is such a refreshing change and the light show is just a fraction of what it can do.
To get the very most out of the keyboard, I did download and install the Swarm software suite that drives this beautiful keyboard (I’ll get to all that in a moment but want to focus on functionality for now).
With the software installed I have control over the keyboard sensitivity and key repeat rates, macros, keysets for popular software and games, customisable functions for software I have on my machine and I can remap almost every key on the keyboard to do something else and assign that new mapping to a profile or software package (apart from a small set of command keys like the Fn, arrow and Del keys).
Oh yeah, it’s pretty and has lights too (even the lights can be mapped with loads of customisation or pre-set keysets).
Detail and things to note (See pictures):
Aluminium topped TenKeyless format keyboard, super soft and fairly quiet keypresses for a mechanical (linear) keyboard.
Windows key can be disabled in gaming mode or remapped to do something else. Physical volume control dial and mute button.
USB-C power cable, the keyboard isn’t chargeable or wireless, it just has a detachable cable which makes packing and transporting it that little bit easier.
Download and install the Swarm software (this unlocked all the useful functionality for me), it also updates the keyboard software as it has its own internal memory.
Massive amounts of customisation available in the software for lighting, controls and functions.
You can control which area or keys are lit, the colour and effects which is handy for most frequently used keys for gaming and efficiency. I tend to stick with green to match the accents in the room and my other kit but I do apply colours to application keysets.
Final thoughts:
Fantastic keyboard allowing that extra bit of room for the mouse to move in. I’ve mapped some shortcut keys in the pictures that are my most frequently used keys in my broadcast software, but I can create multiple sets for many of my applications and games.
I absolutely would recommend this and this is now part of my everyday kit. Top marks!
Brilliant Gaming Keyboard
Brilliant solid very good quality mechanical RGB gaming keyboard. Have two others where the lights are pretty easy to programme with the software and give good flexibility but this is out first per-key lighting which is really impressive! Despite weighing a bit more this is also a bit smaller so it takes up less space on your gaming desk which is great whilst not creating any sense of difference/unfamiliarity with the key spacing or where you put your hands. It’s a nice height too which is ideal for your wrists/base of palms to sit very comfortably on your desk just below it so you don;t start to feel discomfort or strain during a long gaming session.
I absolutely love this keyboard. The colours are bright and clear. Seamless colour changing as it flows all over. Even each linear key press is satisfying to hear. Easily change colours to what ever you would like and many different active colours as many other keyboard do but this one does it very well. With the Roccat Storm app you can customize nearly every key section to what ever you’d like. Can also set macros and have any key press/combination to suit your needs or preferance.
Made me switch off my Bluetooth keyboard for a while
I am all for Bluetooth powered devices, be it a mouse, a keyboard, or a headphone. They are just easy to use, portable and versatile. However, trying this Roccat Vulcan TKL, it kinda made me turn off my premium Bluetooth gaming keyboard for a while.
Just by looking at the mechanical switches, which are incredibly well-designed, I literally fell for this keyboard. It has a sleek design throughout the surface of the keyboard, and makes stunning use of space to deliver premium quality typing/gaming without compromising on the size of the keys.
Apart from the stunning design and smart use of space, the keyboard is flawless in terms of functionality, responsiveness and accuracy. It matches my gaming needs and since I play very interactive games especially FPS ones that require focus, I found the keyboard a good companion to have for a perfect gaming experience.
The RGB is the cherry on the pie. It illuminates the keyboard with vivid colours and can be configured to match your RGB needs.
If I am to pick one word to describe this keyboard, it would be STURDY. Holding this in my hands feels like holding a single solid piece that would stand wear and tear.
The only con: The cable! I am a big fan of Bluetooth connected gear and I can’t help but to witness this flow. Not a deal breaker at all though.
This is a fantastic keyboard and I really love the lights they are really bright and colourful, I was very surprised with how lightweight this is and the quality is built to last.
You connect it up via the USB-C cable and this braided which makes it very durable, Once connected it was instantly recognized by my computer and could be used straight away.
There is a volume control Knob on the keyboard and this is a great feature for me, The keys are easy to use and I still felt comfy using this even after long periods of time.
Overall I am very happy with the product.
The RGB coloured backlit is mesmerising
Well-made gamer keyboard from Roccat. Love the modern stylish design with UK layout. The surface under the keys made from brushed aluminium while the bottom is plastic with 3 rubber feet and two unflappable feet to rase the hight of the keyboard. The connectivity is sorted with a 2m long braded cable with USB type C connector into the keyboard and a Type A into the computer. Was really easy to set it up, I just had to plug it into my computer and it’s ready to use The RGB coloured backlit is so cool. For a full customisation needed to download the Roccat Swarm software which allows to customise the colours even per keys, also the animation and other things. There is an actual volume button which is a great feature and also a mute button next. There are no other dedicated media keys other than this two.
Overall, I’m happy with this keyboard, it’s a great addition to my gaming PC, feels great to type and play game with it, the only negative part I’ve found is that the space between the keys is a little bit bigger than I’m used to it and my thin fingers often trapped between the keys.
It is not entirely perfect keyboard but I do like it, perfect for any gamers. Its not a cheap keyboard but you get what you pay for: quality, modern design, functionality and lots of customisation trough the dedicated software.

This is the Roccat Vulcan TKL Compact Mechanical RGB Gaming Aluminium Top Plate Keyboard, it measures 36 x 13.3 x 3.4cm and weighs a hefty 660g. Comes with braided USB to USB C connector cable.
This keyboard has so many functions it is insane, the keys are titan switch optical which will last 100 million precise speedy clicks, fingertip shaped keys, AIMO intelligent light engine, mixer dial for faster more precise audio control, advanced anti-ghosting, easy shift [+] button duplicator, compact design, 1000mhz polling rate and all controlled by a 32 bit ARM Cortex based processor. All this and the latest version of ROCCAT Swarm software suite to download on installation to pretty much tailor make this into what you want. I am not sure you could ask for more from a keyboard.
Using this keyboard is such a delight, it is so comfortable and the keys are tiny but you never miss a stroke due to the shape of them. If I was to be overly critical I would prefer a number pad, but I can get by. Just my personal preference, as I find it easier on some tasks / games.
But it does have a symbol, so that is always a winner!
This is a top quality keyboard for a quality gaming set up, probably wasted on me but I’ll take it. Well recommended, as it is one sexy keyboard.
A joy to use
This has replaced another cheaper chinese variant of gaming keyboard I owned and what a big difference. It looks absolutley wonderful. Its perfect for gaming or just office. It is slightly more compact than your traditional keyboard but you dont miss the keys and the alternative arrangement of them. It is made of aluminum metal so feels premium to use and isnt too heavy when you pick it up but it stays firm on your desk. The keys seem to float high on the top and the light bleeds from underneath so you can make out the mechanisms underneath and it’s a great look. The USB is braided and there is a volume / mute control on the keyboard. It uses some software called Roccat Swarm to support the hot keys. This lets you reassign keys, set up profiles, and play around with the RGB settings. Perfomance is good, did take me a small while to get used to it but I love it and is the best keyboard I have used.
Superb quality and performance for gaming.
One of the BEST gaming keyboards I’ve come across.
– Thin and very lightweight.
– Feels robust and the keys are sturdy.
– Keys fast, responsive, and quiet with zero lag.
– Really comfortable to use for long periods of time. I used it for gaming and then connected it to my regular laptop to use for normal typing as well.
– Two feet to prop up the keyboard for a comfortable angle when gaming or typing.
– Floating keys give you a good view of the stunning light show, though the floating design might take a while to get used to. They are full-height keys (same as regular laptop keyboards), so it might also take time to get used to it if you’re switching from a gaming keyboard with lower-profile keys.
– Volume wheel, mute button, and other multimedia keys are next to each other at the top right of the keyboard, so you can swiftly change multimedia settings mid-game.
– Game mode disables keys that you don’t need in your game.
– Comes with a detachable USB-C to USB-A cable.
– Doesn’t take as much space as other Vulcan models – and it is tenkeyless, which I love since I rarely use the number pad when gaming and it seemed to do nothing but take up space.
– Reasonable price for the features it has.
Overall, the keyboard is of superb build quality, beautiful design, and excellent performance – and will be a steadfast companion in any gaming adventure! Would highly recommend as it delivers what it promises.

Good functionality
Initially, I wasn’t sure about the open key design of the keyboard, but it is actually very tactile and ergonomic to use, enabling fast and accurate key clicking, accompanied by a satisfying click as you hit each one. It isn’t highly click/clack, but there is a noise when a key is hit that I really like. The raised keys ensure accuracy and lessen the potential for a mistake whilst looking very retro at the same time. Even though this is a small keyboard, it doesn’t come at the expense of accuracy. I also like the audio control dial.
The keyboard comes with a small guide and USB lead to get you up and running.
Another good Roccat RGB keyboard
This will be my third Roccat Vulcan keyboard after the 120 and 122. The TKL Pro compact keyboard uses the same specially made Titan Switches that mirror Cherry switches in other mechanical keyboards. I actually find the keys make more noise but are slightly more responsive at the same time.
The more compact keyboard lacks a numberpad which takes a bit of getting used to if you are often prone to typing a lot of numbers but as I often need to use a smaller laptop with a similar sized keyboard it doesn’t bother me too much. The curved keys are comfortable to type on and the spacing between them helps provide good travel. They’re comfortable to touch type on due to the spacing.
Lighting has always been one of Roccat’s strong points and all their RGB products work together to provide a uniform lighting if you prefer this, my mouse, headset and keyboard can all light up with the same colour patterns. This is done through the Swarm software which has its good and bad points. On the plus side it’s really easy to use, contains all the information about updates to firmware for all your Roccat peripherals and even allows you to set macros for function keys, including choosing what the dial on the far right of the keyboard does (I like to have it set up as volume but you can even use it to change lighting). Unfortunately, there’s also issues with the software crashing, though this tends to be due to some Anti-virus software from what I can see.
Build quality is solid, as usual and I really love the aesthetics of the build with the large gap between the key caps and the switches, ensuring that the lighting is more prominent that with other keyboards.

Roccat Vulkan TKL seems like a very nice clunky keyboard. Its got a nice feel as you type and its got very good spacing so you aren’t all over the keyboard like with some. It’s a nice light keyboard that has a good size without being overly small or large, all in all I am impressed, I don’t know the price yet but I will check back and if I feel its overpriced I will edit my review and rating.
More Space for Fast Mouse Movement, But with One Addition that Could have Made it 5 Stars:
Compact TKL keyboard, I am able to bring the mouse closer and work in a narrower surface area to increase productivity and mouse speed whilst gaming.
I can switch the LED on or off, the brightness can be adjusted to make it a percent balance to the ambient lighting, I can also cycle the RGB to change the colour FX.
The dial allows me to control the volume swiftly without messing around with external controls. Everything is available to me at the soft powder touch keys which resist moisture whilst gaming.
The only thing missing is relatively silent performance – it is quite Lous and ‘click’.

What an excellent gaming keyboard – we’ve been really impressed. The mechanical keys are superb – they have a really nice responsive action and ergonomically the keyboard is very well designed for quick key use (and of course typing!). The keys also don’t “clack” noisily like some mechanical keyboards do. The volume slider is also a really nice touch and works well – much easier to use than volume keys or controls on a headset.
As for the lighting effects – they are brilliant. We have two other gaming keyboards – admittedly cheaper – but the pattern options and colours on the Roccat are much better with many more options.
To get them operating properly, you need to download the Roccat Swarm software. We found that this software worked straight away on Windows 10 without any issues. As well as determining lighting effects you can assign keys to functions and create different profiles with different set ups – which is great if you want different key set ups for different games.
Whilst the keyboard is primarily for my teenage son to game with, I have to say I could very comfortably use this for office-based work tasks and I much prefer this keyboard to that on my work MacBook. I may indeed invest in another one for work (although I’m not sure how my office colleagues will feel about the disco lights going off next to them – so I may need to use it for home working only!).

This seemed like it was going to be difficult setting up but it was actually very easy (for me anyway) follow the instructions and you’ll be kept right.
What I love about this keyboard is that it just looks amazing, like something futuristic.
I love the clunky keyboard keys.
It’s easy to use and it’s very well ergonomically designed.
It’s got a aluminium top plate for durability.
It’s got audio control knob.
All in all I’m very happy with this keyboard.
Amazing Keyboard
Gorgeous Keyboard. I have been using it for a few months now and I think it’s great. It’s really well lit up with what I would class as the best looking RGB on the market right now. Great for gaming and also office work.
Great but 'w' key has stopped working after 11 months
Got it for my son, its an absolutely stunning keyboard and the lighting effects are very nice. When you press a key the rbg’s ripple out from that key it’s very cool. Only problem is after 11 months the ‘W’ key has started to play up misses inputs and it’s kind of an important key for gaming. It could just be crumbs or so thing inside but there’s no way to open it up so it’s pretty useless now. I’ve just ordered him the steel series apex Pro for this Xmas, I don’t think it looks as good aesthetically but hopefully will be just as good for gami g and hopefully last longe
Premium look and feel.
I have a gsming laptop so the keys have always been closer together than on your conventional gaming keyboard. I got this as I was trying to move away from using the laptop keyboard, and well, it doesn’t disappoint. Its very well made and had aluminium on the face of it which makes it look really modern. I love how the keys are transparent under the buttons and this really let’s the RGB lighting shine through.
You also download the Roccat software and there’s multiple options for the lighting styles and brightness and patterns. You can even make custom ones or just have it all a block colour etc.
They keys feel really nice and responsive when you press them. They are also pressure sensitive so you don’t always need to press them right down. When your using the keyboard you really feel like your doing something.
It also has a magnetic wrist rest that just clips or unclips. The only thing about it is its not foam or anything its quite sturdy but its not uncomfortable. I think its just there to raise the height of your hand whilst playing.
All in all I think Its worth the price tag and its good value for what you get. It feels premium and looks premium and id definitely recommend it if your a frequent gamer.

This keyboard is the best keyboard i think Roccat have every came out with, not only does the keyboard feel right with its palm/wrist support, the keys do all light up and you can change the brightnest of the keys. but if you also download the program called swarm you can also get some cool extra features. which i can tell you about now. you get different sounds the keys make when you type which is kinda cool, plus every key you hit when typing changes colour so you can see where your been, which i find helps, and then you have the wave which is the different colours from red, pink, mauve, green, blue, purple, white, orange and the list goies on, it can be set up so you have a full light show of colours light up your keyboard at night to one set standard colour. Overall this keyboard it the best and why i rate it 5/5
I have been using generic, BBC, Microsoft, HP wireless, Logitech, laptop and Steelseries keyboards and this is the best and most fun keyboard I have ever used. No more clicky mechanical keyboards because now comes the dawn of the clunk! It’s like using the greatest typewriter my mother didn’t have.
The ability to colour each key is great and the fact it can change depending on your actions is also just a wonder that can impress anybody.
I cannot comment on the Macros functions yet because FFXIV has it’s own set up and i’m not really sure where else to use it.
As for the Swarm software that I hear so much negativity about… I do not really see a problem with it, even though it’s gaming i use the keyboard for, I do not have a lot of opportunity to use it on different applications that would need the features offered.

This is an excellent keyboard. I use it for gaming and work. Despite some reviews I think the Roccat software is good. The rgb is the best there is and keyboard comfort is ideal. I’m just wishing I had one in white as well now!
A pleasure to use.
First time splashing out on a keyboard and it is fantastic. The keys are a pleasure to use. Mega easy to install and setup. Brightness levels are spot on. And lighting is easily controlled in iCue. The overall design from Roccat is amazing.
Best Keyboard and software when you know how to use it..
I believe this is one of the best keyboards and software on the market after owning corsair, razer, logitech and many others i can tell you the keycaps do come off and the switches are perfect for gaming not to light and not to heavy on the switch, it’s not clicky so when playing games you don’t get that annoying you hear from tactile switches (even though they now offer tactile for you odd people out their 😛 ). Yes they are like cherry browns but they have been customised grams needed to press the switch which in my opinion makes a great response for FPS’s etc they explain this on their website for more info. The software for keybinding is one of the best out there so detailed and when you give it some time to setup can be really powerful alongside a Kone Aimo mouse on both devices you get a shift key that turns the whole device into a macro keyboard so for example you can set shift + w as chuck grenade for instance giving more options on keys you use more often or find new way to make things easier and quick to access and yes the program can be slow (sometimes after the recent patches they made is seems to be more stable) to initialize on boot up but i give it a few seconds and it kicks in even with that i wouldn’t say that factor destroys this keyboard the look on the lighting pattern they do is awesome anything you get with AIMO will all be in sync and the pattern follows onto my mouse and headset really reallly good device ignore the hate the software gets give it time and they will fix the last bits left on it.
Beautiful and functional
This is, no doubt, a very nice keyboard. It’s mechanical, and I’ve been used to laptop keyboards for the last 10 years or so, so that took a bit of getting used to. But once I did… it’s very pleasant to type on. It’s quite loud, so bear that in mind.
The colours are beautiful as expected. You need the ROCCAT software on win10 to get the nicest flowy patterns going.
In terms of keeping it clean… yes, you’re never gonna get food crumbs into it, but ironically I have a different problem, which wouldn’t happen with a laptop keyboard: hair! My hair is quite long and sheds all the time and it keeps building up between the keys. Oh well. It’s not a major problem.
The best keyboard you will ever type on, but...
Like most reviewers I’m just going to come out the gate saying the software sucks. Its absolutely horrendous considering I bought this full price (150) If you want easy to use powerful RGB software, get a different keyboard.
Personally, the RGB is just extra, so I’m not too bothered.
I never learned to touch type in school, Its always taken me ages to type out things, my dyslexia doesn’t help, but every keyboard I’ve tried until now just feel wrong. Whether the keys are too small/too big/ too close together, I just mis-typed every sentence. I owned a Corsair K65 keyboard for 2 years and I was still mis-typing on it until the day I switched to this keyboard. My fingers can finally tell when I’ve mis-typed and I can quickly correct it. The key travel distance is perfect. Its the perfect amount of “clickyness” for me.
I work in a job where I’m typing around 16-22k keys a day so I’ve done a lot of typing on this keyboard while working from home in the last 4 months. For the first time ever I am actually improving in my typing speed!
For gaming its really good as well, the key return time makes this good for twitch-y shooters like Valorant and CS:GO, it also has a “Gamer Mode” which turns off the windows key, Alt+Tab, Alt+F4 etc so you don’t accidentally quit the game when you rage.

Awesome Keyboard
This is my first mechanical keyboard. After reading lots of reviews and especially after seeing what it looked like I had to have it. Typing is great, I love the feel and sound of the keys. The RGB lights looks cool and are easy to configure in the software. I can honestly say that my performance in COD Warzone improved after getting this keyboard. I would highly recommend it even if it is expensive, but at end of day you can justify that by how much you will actually be using it. I use it for work during the day and gaming at night. worth it.

I’ve owned a Das Keyboard for years. Any mechanical keyboard enthusiast knows well this brand and its superior quality. Well, I decided to give a try to a different brand and chose Roccat Vulcan 120. This keyboard feels amazingly good when typing, both the clickness and the pressure for the keys are perfect. The accuracy of strokes increased significantly within one day of use.
So I totally recommend this product to WRITERS too

I’ve had mine for about a year (I think!) and some of the keys no longer work unless you really press them down.
Fantastic keyboard for the year or so that it works – but after that it starts to lose utility very quickly.

I love the look of this keyboard, it lights up beautifully and does everything I need in a keyboard.I have experienced none of the Swarm problems others have and it has always worked impeccably. But, this is a big but, this is my second one in a year that is showing signs of cracked keys. My first one was 5 months old when a key came off. I went to put it back when I noticed it was cracked, putting it back it actually broke off part of the stem, causing me to contact Roccat who just send return it to Amazon for a replacement as several other keys had started to crack also. 5 months later and this one has several cracked keys so I’m in contact with Roccat once again to see if I can get a couple of replacements. I’m a keen gamer and can be a bit heavy handed so take the warning, tread with care but it is lovely while it lasts.

Light Up My Gaming Keyboard
A great UK layout gaming keyboard with LED illumination.
This is a wired USB gaming keyboard which I always prefer despite the untidy look of my desk with wires for al the different bits and bobs that I need.
Definitely a rapid responsive on the keys ideal for touch typing, and playing games too. There are 6 programmable macro keys, integrated media buttons, and multimedia keys.
Goes well with a Roccat Kone mouse.

The Roccat Vulcan would be an upgrade from the model 120, which I didn’t own.
I’m not a fan of a product that just adds the word “Gaming” to the title unless reality is being deserved.
So I never would try and venture into the high-end keyboard world, so for review, I got this to give a try.
First, it’s a UK keyboard always a winner to start with, RGB yep, I’m into this flashing. Stuff, my Son likes to watch and play with the colors.
Clicky keys are very much a personal thing, and I do like the feedback and critical travel. Not being big into games, I believe the response won’t make much difference to your championship-winning gaming experience.
But as a keyboard, it’s good quality and well made.
I see a few comments on the software, which is at best basic, but I never bother with unbranded software.
Alternatives are out there, and this is a premium-priced product, worthy of a try.

Top quality product. Definitely for gamers. Bit expensive but it’s well worth the money. Keys are very high. Very nice click to it. Software is ok but could do with more features. Overall very happy with it.

Great keyboard. I didnt like it when I first got it, having come from an Roccat Isku, but it’s such a nice looking keyboard and it works well.
I wanted the handrest but the magnet detach is annoying. My desk is padded with mouse mats so its fine tho
Beautiful Keyboard
Love the look and feel of the keyboard, key caps feel very nice to touch, led’s are bright and vibrant, Roccat software isn’t too bad, does have limited RGB patterns so you wont be able to design your own animations or combine FX but will suit most people’s taste’s, volume controls could use a little work, good for gaming and typing, my fav keyboard so far.
Shame about the software, best hardware you can ge
This keyboard is great! Software is rubbish though, it crashed on me the other day and the backlight was flashing so much it was enough to make epileptics fear for their lives.

looks great, rgb is great, the switches are great, i like it very much, especially for gaming, typing can be a be a blast too but the switches are very sensitive and will punish your slopiness.

So after using this keyboard for a day now I must say it’s top notch! I’m so glad I purchased this one over the HyperX. The typing Is a dream… the quality just makes you want to type with It all day. I’m a gamer so it fits all my needs you’ll be a pro In just one day using it. Don’t hesitate to buy it…… just buy it it’s worth every penny In my opinion.

Certified splashproof by me! I just spilled half a can of Scrumpy Jack on this bad boy and it keeps on trucking like nothing happened. Smells like crap, but otherwise all good 😉 Extremely easy to clean.

If you’re like me, that is or … should I say now, was looking for a decent keyboard that give very bright & decent RGB lighting, and also felt very, very good in typing & featured that ( CLICKY ) sound many of us look for in a keyboard with this price range then, the Roccat Vulan 120 Aimo is the keyboard is the keyboard for you.
The first thing I must clear up is, is this keyboard the U.K layout, I can say 100% is ( YES ) the keyboard is the standard U.K layout, and if you look at the image I’ve provided for you & those that are looking to buy this, you can see for you’re self the layout of the keys themselves.
They keyboard is ( EXTREMELY ) well built & I’m very, very impressed with everything honestly I’m so glad that I did buy this keyboard and honestly I won’t be buying another one for a VVVEEERRRYYY long time.

A Keyboard That's East on the Eyes and Great for Typing.
This is a great keyboard for gaming and typing alike. I read a lot of reviews and comments before deciding which keyboard to get for my setup. I can safely say that the ROCCAT Vulcan 120 does not disappoint. Firstly it looks great! The RGB lighting really pops and the software makes it easy to customise to your liking. The feel of the switches is fantastic. I could type on this key board all day long a never get bored of it. Definitely recommended for these who are looking for something that looks outstanding and performs well.
Not for lap gaming
I don’t use a desk to hold my keyboard so the magnetic wrist rest is useless. It will take me a while to get used to not having one.
If you have the keyboard in your lap, the rest is not going to stay attached.
Aside from that the keys are very tactile and soft to press but you know you are pressing them. It’s all very intuitively laid out.
Lighting is way too bright but this is easy to configure in the software. The range of colours is brilliant. You can individually light the WASD, F keys, arrow and number pad.
I have had it 5 minutes and could plug it in an play a game without any adjustments, like I’ve always owned it.
It is a very good keyboard despite its major flaw with the wrist rest.

What a pleasure, if you use this keyboard for work, on Sunday evening you will have a smile on your face cause you will be looking forward to working on your sweet keyboard.
Thinking about buying another one just for work, so that I never have a day where I have forgotten it at home.
Wrist rest is not gel filled but actually pretty comfortable so far, hope ROCCAT make a gel version with the magnet and correct shape to connect to this keyboard.

Easily the best keyboard I have ever used.
After the grief passed from emptying a drink over my Corsair STRAFE RGB, I spent some time looking for my next keyboard. Corsair are good, but I wanted to try something different and ROCCAT have a good name.
I found this very generously reviewed on TechRadar. The design is simple, but the product is exceptional. Keys float above a single piece of aluminium with per-key lighting. The keys are not Cherry MX as with most gaming keyboards, but instead something arguably better and the result is simply a delight both for typing/work and for gaming.
The satisfyingly magnetic joint between keyboard and palm rest is a very nice little touch from the German designers.
It feels more lightweight than Corsair whilst packing a bigger punch. Only one USB required vs Corsair needing two, and the companion software is less demanding and more intuitive.
PS. I don’t know how I’ve lived without a media knob on a keyboard previously. I’ve changed now.
The Best Gaming Keyboard
This keyboard is the best that I have ever used. By the quality of materials used for this keyboard I can tell that I will have it last for a good while. I do not have any negative things to say about it. The software just works.
Stylish and Practical
A beautiful piece of German engineering. The lights can be programmed to respond to your touch. However, this requires an app to be downloaded so internet is required. Presumably, this won’t be a massive issue for anyone investing in a gaming keyboard.
Probably the best all round keyboard on the marke
It has AI RGB…I would normally be disgusted by such a feature but when the key lighting respond to a key press in a wave of light, it’s a joy to watch.

I haven’t experienced any issues with the Swarm software as yet….. I’m running Windows 10 Pro and its just fine.
If you’re looking for a really good Mechanical Keyboard and money isn’t an issue, look no further.
The next comparable Keyboards would be the Corsair K95, K70 or Asus ROG Claymore. All the same kind of thing with slight differences to build, Keys and colours.
I was attracted to this product first for how pretty it was, it looks a lot different with the transparent base of the keys, however, I was a little hesitant when reading other reviews about the software being an issue (Roccat SWARM), I can only assume this problem has been addressed since the previous reviews as it worked completely fine for me (I’m running Windows 10).
The keys feel extremely snappy and the spacing between the keys had me noticing immediately that I was not making as many errors through hitting 2 keys at the same time, my typing speed has increased incredibly (Previously using Cherry Red MX Corsair K70 LUX Keyboard) and it is a joy to type on, from the slight curve of the keycaps to the surprisingly comfortable wrist rest.
The colours and effects on this keyboard are beautiful, however, it does lack the abundant options that come with Corsair products and corresponding software. I found the software very easy to install and use, and as previously stated, has no issues that other reviewers mentioned.
The product is fitted with brushed steel and feels of high quality on the keycaps and all-round, it is lighter than my previous Corsair keyboard, but this product is slightly smaller in size and the keycaps have been made lighter than other suppliers which would play a part into the weight. The wrist rest attaches by magnets, it is easy to pull off and put on, but is very steady and has never come off unintentionally yet.
I recommend this product to anyone as it’s comfortable which is great universally for all users, the typing is comfortable, fast and is an all-around pleasant experience. I mainly use this keyboard for gaming and give my approval that it works just as well as my previous keyboards if not better (Mainly FPS usage personally).
I found this keyboard to be an excellent overall keyboard. Great RGB lighting and strong sturdy key switches with their low profile design. I found the switches to have very little rattling/wobbling which was good.
The reason why I returned this keyboard is because after testing it a bit, I realized that I much prefer linear performance on a switch which is the reason why I went for the Corsair K70 Low Profile MX Speed switches which are an absolute delight and also have less woobling and linear performance. Also, this keyboard is a bit odd and has like odd functions like the FX button… Don’t know it is just my personal preference to be more standard in terms of media keys.
I bought two keyboards The Roccat Vulcan and the HyperX Alloy FPS RGB. I couldn’t make up my mind which one to keep. If I had two computers then I would have kept both. The key strokes on both are very fast and smooth. The spacebar on the Vulcan is better than the HyperX Alloy FPS RGB. The HyperX keys are faster and very sensitive. The Hyper X will force you to type more accurately since it’s very easy to hit another key. The Roccat Vulcan does not have this problem. Both very good keyboards. The software on the Roccat is good. I did not have any problems like what some are saying in other reviews. The software looks good, more style than the HyperX. The HyperX is a boring look incomparison, it does the job. I returned the Vulcan. If you have two or more computers and you need two keyboards then these two are the best as far as I know. I took a long time to choose and look at most of the top keyboards and eliminated down to these two.

You certainly pay a lot for this, but the quality is impressive so far. The software package comes with a large number of RGB options, and the key press is responsive. My only complaint is sometimes the keyboard doesn’t boot on PC startup – yes you read that right – and I have to unplug it from the USB and re-plug it before I can type.
Solid, colourful and satisfying.
Very premium and robust. Aluminium chassis reflects the light of the keys for added magic. Keys are deep and satisfying. Software has many customisations. Great buy especially along with the matching Roccat Kobe Aimo mouse.
Really is the best on the market for this price
Truely one of the best keyboards I have used for everyday life and most importantly gaming. Really beautiful and the swarm software is easy to use. The smart colours and touch really make it stand out from the crowded market place. Well worth the money

I have never had a problem with the Swarm software myself on my Windows 10 and I have been using for quite a while with an Kone Aimo mouse, this keyboard and mouse make a very nice pair.
All the Swarm software wanted me to do was hit the update button so it could install the Aimo 120 keyboard module into itself, then unplug the keyboard from the USB and plug it back in, job done.
The switches to me have a much nicer feel than Cherry MX brown series does, if your looking for a quiet keyboard to use keyboard you could be looking in the wrong place. This is not really loud but it is not quiet either but this does not bother me as I am a headphone user 90% of the time and do not really hear it anyway.
Gaming wise it is very good, the macros are very easy to setup just like they are on Roccat mice, tell it where the game or program .exe is and it auto switches profiles for you, when you quit or alt tab out it switches back to your windows desktop profile and settings.
Does what it says on the tin and does it very well.

Bought a second one of these as the other computer in the house was seemingly being avoided by both of us as it does not have one of these keyboards attached to it. We can both touch type and love the key action & feel of these Titan switches Roccat have come up with. As others have mentioned these keyboards are very easy to clean when you need to do so.
My last keyboard was a corsair and i needed a new one. i completely felt in love when saw roccat vulcan 120 aimo.
so much better for typing than corsair and very responvive for games. The design is fantastic, just the most good looking keyboard on the market right now. Just in love with this masterpiece. A must buy for people that want a top keyboard for gaming and for typing.
Just received this today and as I am typing this I am very impressed! It is so comfortable to type on I have had mechanical keyboards before but to type they have felt quite ‘Clunky’ to type but this is very smooth with Roccat’s ‘Titan’ keys. And as you type the stunning Aimo colours ‘move’ around the LED keys(You can also have different sound effects for key presses,I have the typewriter sound effect on but some other sounds are a bit annoying!)
For gaming it is excellent you can make a profile,make macros and movement is quick. Also the keys are nicely spaced,my last keyboard the K95 Rapidfire I found the keys to close and I ‘miss hit’ the key I wanted but with the Vulcan I can tap the key I need quickly.
So overall I am very pleased with this keyboard(although expensive),look beautiful,tough and a joy to use.
