When working it is great but since installing the lights they’ve only worked for a few days as weather has not been sunny enough to charge the batteries so have decided to forget solar and go battery operated for security lights

I have put 4 star rating only because the charge doesn’t last enough if you have it in a busy area. Very happy with the brightness and motion detection technology

Installed this light so it comes on when we go to the bins. It’s bright enough and is perfect as you can turn and adjust the leds.

Arrived next day, easy to fit, nice and bright with different brightness settings plus three modes to choose from, but I found the sensor is only good from around two metres.

This is 24.95 which is a good price as it works so well. Easy to install it comes with a bracket which you put on the wall or fence you want then the main light simply sliders over the bracket to make a nice snug fit. You can move each part of the light individually which is so impressive and makes for a great range . It is solar powered so you would think it wouldn’t be very bright but I kid you not it’s so bright it’s fantastic. The best solar light I’ve ever seen or had.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis solar light has been nothing but amazing. I’ve used it for a few months now and it’s spot on. It was one of the easier to install as you simple attach a small bracket where you want the light, the main unit then simply slides over this bracket. This light offers one of the most flexible lighting arrangements I’ve ever seen. The angle and position of the light generated can be adjust for each of the segments so you can light up different areas as required. You can also aim the lights up and down as much as you need. The motion sensor works flawlessly and most importantly, the light output from this light is impressive, it’s sometimes hard to believe this is solar powered.

5.0 out of 5 stars Super bright, easy to install and crazy levels of adjustment.

It’s a powerful light. I had installed it in the garden of my house, it was very easy It provides a nice lighting to my garden, I would like to buy another one for my garage. Considering that the electricity is very expensive nowadays , this lamp doesn’t cost you so much, because it’s charging from the sun = so worthy. The best side of this lamp is that it has motion detection which is very good for saving the battery , so it will turn on the lights only when someone is moving around Delivery came quickly and well packed. So far so good, I hope that it will last longe

This solar motion detection light is excellent and well worth buying. You can use the remote to instantly switch it on if you suspect intrusion or just to change the settings if you have it placed in a seating area and want it left on all the time whilst out at night.

I have it set on low light by my back double gates, then when there’s movement it goes to full brightness. It allows me to see easily when coming in in the dark so I can close the gates after bringing my car in even when the brightness dims I can see in the dark with ease.

Very simple to set up and fix but I did use my own self tapping wood screws as I always do. Nothing wrong with the screws contained but they’re not self tapping which I prefer.

    Happy to recommend.

This works far better than expected.

Fully programmable via the remote it has a few settings that all work really well.

The light and sensor are pretty heavy duty and seem well made and the lights are posable in several positions.

I’ve got this one to test for a few weeks and now it’s my grandmother who’s using this – both of us are so happy and would definitely recommend this solar light.

The light comes packed well, instructions manual and accessories to fix it on a wa.

The lamp is recharging pretty well from the sun, even if the area of the solar panel is not that big, looks there’s a good conversion.

The lamps are so powerful for such a device! Is detecting the motion very well.
It’s quite mobile and parts of the lamp can be adjusted to light a bigger area around.

Haven’t noticed a remote control in the box so can’t mention anything about this.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFor years my security light has been bugging me, it’s 300 watt bulb glaring at me whenever a leaf travels across the garden and costing me money. The bulbs always used to burn out and I’d always end up replacing them each year. All this amounts to money and time I could do with spending somewhere else.

Then along came this. I was dubious about the light levels I’d get from this and how sensitive it would be against my rogue leaf but it’s all good!

Fitting wise this needs a little bit of installation into the wall, however if you have any other existing holes in the wall (I did after I removed my mains powered light) you can simply use them, I literally only put one of the three screws in, as this thing is so lightweight I can’t see it going anywhere. The light then slides onto the fitting and you are done. I would say there is no click or clasp to hold it on, just gravity but I’m sure it’s going to be ok.

The lights are adjustable so you can move them to get really nice wide coverage. This is a good improvement on my last one and now the whole garden lights up.

Power wise this thing is impressive! It’s really bright, it contends with mains powered security lights but that’s due to LEDs being so much more efficient. It’s a bright white (cold) light. So where in some evenings I would use the old mains light for some ambience, this is a little less welcoming, but that’s not it’s main job so I’ll let it off.

It comes with a remote that you can change the modes, light levels etc or just turn on/off. The three modes are:
    – Normal security light (off until it detects something then on for 30s)
    – Dim light permanently on the bright light for 30s when it detects it
    – permanent dim, just the same light all night

I use the first option as it feels like the best for me to keep the charge for when it’s needed the most.

It’s not directly into sun for a lot of time and I have trees that block the light, however given it’s only coming on when the cat goes past then I think the charge will be fine, let’s see what winter is like though, I’ll try to update in about 6 months. You can adjust the brightness as well so you will be a good way to reduce its energy use and compromise during darker months.

This is clearly the future and we should be doing more of this where we can to use renewable energy, so get on the train people.

    UPDATE October 22
These are now struggling with low light days, they still have some light but it’s not as good as the height of summer.

This solar security light is incredibly bright. The motion sensor works great, and the remote control was super easy to use. The battery charges quickly on sunny days and will last for a good while. The security light is made of good materials, feels solid, is lightweight, and the angle of light can be easily adjusted for each lamp head. It was super easy to install and looks modern, and No complaints here! Very useful security light to have, and I highly recommend it.

Really like this item, I think it offers good value for money. Less than 20 at time of this review.

I’ve put this up in my in-laws garden, as they were in desperate need for some lights in their garden. To be honest, when I opened up the package I wanted to keep it for myself, but I knew they needed it more, so there we are!

I really love the adjustability of this security light. If you think of it like a large rear-view mirror, but it’s split into 5 adjustable LED panels. This means you can angle it to suit a custom preference, which is such a great idea over the conventional fixed “square” security lights. The fact it’s solar as well, without the worry of having to get an electrician to hardwire is also great.

The solar panel is a decent size, and charges a Li-Ion battery, which allows the unit to harness enough power for overnight security coverage. Like all solar panels, make sure it’s got optimal placement for the sun!

300 LEDs (apparently – I didn’t count them all!) make this quite a bright unit, though obviously they don’t all need to face the same direction/angle, so you can spread the 7000K brightness to suit your own needs. The unit feels really solid, and is rated as IP65 waterproof – not the best, but more than enough to deal with rain/weather extremes in the UK.

It’s recommended you have this mounted at least 6.5ft from the ground for optimal usage. I suppose this is to give the sensor the best chance to spot any intruders. This sensor should have a range of over 25′, which is more than enough for most garden/garage setups.

Definitely a worthy contender if you’re looking to add visual light deterrents to your garden or garage. Whether you’re scaring off critters or something more ominous. It also comes with a remote for convenience, this appears to be simple, but a nice addition.

Well recommended. I’m severely tempted to buy another for my garage area.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, adjustable spotlights. Ideal for gardens.

The panels of this solar light are bendable so that you can adjust the angle to your needs, which is great, as this offers versatility that rigid solar lights don’t.
Another commendable feature is the size of the solar panel. This is important for capturing as much as sunlight as possible, especially in winter. Many solar lights are simply too small.
2200 mAh isn’t the best battery capacity though, so it’s a bit unfortunate in this regard.
The light itself is very good. With 300 LED diodes, it is really bright and do light up an area quite well. I’ve had other solar LED lights, and they don’t offer anything beyond decorative purposes, as they simply lack LEDs in them.
Mounted onto a fence in my garden, it lights up quite a large portion of my garden, so if I were outside when it’s dark, it would still be well lit.
IP65 is barely OK for outdoor electronics, so this won’t last very long, as it will suffer from water damage eventually, just like all the other IP65 solar lights I’ve had so far. This is very unfortunate, and I would definitely look for a better waterproof unit if you want them to last a lot longer.
So far, this has served me well and I can recommend this. 18.95 isn’t the cheapest and there are other options.

This is a large solar powered garden floodlight. It’s activated by PIR so basically it’s a motion sensor.
It charges up during the day and because it’s motion sensor it’s not so bad if the day has been cloudy or rainy.
It’s very bright and I like that you can move the individual panels like a snake and can direct the light where you want it.
I also love that it has a remote control included so you never need to get on a ladder to adjust it.
All fittings are included and it’s quite heavy so if you’re thinking of using sticky pads I don’t think they’ll hold it.
I think for the quality of this it’s very reasonably priced under twenty pounds.

It was good to find a security light that uses solar rather than electricity which means it can literally be placed anywhere. It has 5 seperate lights that can be moved to point in different directions and the panel is very efficient. It can be set to motion sensor but I also found a button that allows it to be on from dusk making it very useful as a floodlight for the back garden. Good value as the battery has thousands of hours run capability.

Very nice solar powered security light, the motion sensor works without any issues and the lights are bright enough on an evening that when they do come on they would deter any potential intruder trying to get into your property. The option to position each set of lights individually so you have no missed rears is also a fantastic addition and makes this light stand out from the others I’ve had previously. Great item and very pleased with it.

This is quite bright @ 7000k and no wiring and electricity needed.
It is enough to cover a range of 2-3 fence panels.
All 5 light panels are tilt-able and the 2 at both ends also rotate-able.
The battery life is great with a pretty big solar panel to gather “juice” during the day.
Comes with a remote, so you don’t need a ladder to change mode.
Very good price @ under 20.

As soon as this light arrived, I put it in my garden and left it to charge during the day. It charges using sunlight and it stays on all night whenever I go near it which is great. It is really bright and has a motion sensor which is good so it only turns on when you get close. It is waterproof so you do not have to worry about protecting it from the rain which is great. It works really well and does the job so I highly recommend it.

I love this solar light. It’s bigger and heavier. It also is much brighter as expected from its size and number of LED on it. Gladly, the lights can be directed upright, down, side, depends on needs. Solar is good to power this light. There is only one switch on the back of the light but we have a remote control as an extra to change settings when needed. Motion detection is great, light is sensitive and quickly goes on when I walk around it. I may dim this light a bit as its extra bright. I think this light is well priced and high quality. An absolute must have these days when electricity prices sky rockets.

This is amazing solar powered sensor light which, like no other light, comes with remote control to change settings without climbing up to the light each time.
This solar light is bigger than many others we have. It has 5 movable light heads which can be rotated up/down, sideways. We will set this light on sensor mode (setting 1) so it will go on when movement is detected only. Another setting is light will be always on at night. Last setting is combination of setting 1 and 2-sensor mode with dim light.
Brightness is impressive here and if we want to save energy, we can dim the light.
Solar panel is good size with battery 2200mAh 3.7V which is good enough.
Light weights just over half a kilo so not that lightweight like we may think.
It came with wall fixing, remote control, bracket and instruction.
I’m happy with it and can highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous brightness

  25. spear says:

This unit is a nice size, 310mm long, 90mm wide, each end light is 70mm, the inner lights are 55mm whilst the middle light is about 50mm. with the solar panel coming in at a sun catching 140mm by 85mm.
There are 5 light sections, each hinged, allowing them to be adjusted in a few directions, this helps the light spread out and cover more.
The central light has a small motion detector in the centre which works well, triggering the lights when something walks passed.
This can be attached to a wall with ease, screwing the small bracket to the wall before slotting the main light unit onto the bracket.
Once on the wall, with the switch pushed to ‘on’ it works exactly as it should, lighting up when something passes the sensor. It stays on for a little while, minutes, before going you and waiting for the next thing to pass by.
And talk about bright this almost brings daylight where night time once sat. Blasting 7000K throughout the darkness. In all, a fantastic little garden security light which, considering the crippling price of electric these days, won’t cost a penny to run. Just let the sun charge the in-built battery and the light will help protect your property.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bring light to protect your property during the dark hours ... & there's no monthly cost.

This is just what we wanted over our back garden. Easy enough to install with the included fittings. The lights panels can be adjusted to get the best light coverage. After a good solar charge it detects motion well and we have it set to just come on bright if motion is detected. A few cats and foxes have been a bit startled by it. The remote lets you adjust it to suit your needs. Jolly good.

  28. Patrick Daniels says:

The solar security light is well executed having a deployable light array with articulated panels so you can ‘shape’ the light in all sorts of ways. It’s a shame it hasn’t taken a trick from others and included status leds to tell you charge level and if it’s on/charging. The remote is of limited use just saves you reaching up to change modes between on all the time, on low at night with full brightness due to movement or on with movement. Not sure how many times you would change that setting to warrant a remote. You can change the brightness level that could be handy in some situations agreed but you can not change then sensitivity or duty cycle

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis solar light has a large case, large lights and a large solar panel, all connected as one. It has adjustable lights that can be manoeuvred to cover a wide distance.

After leaving it out in the sun all day, it came on at night and was surprisingly very bright. The light will stay on but dim and then will become bright once it detects motion as the standard mode, but there are two other modes to choose from which is always on (dim) and sensor mode, which will turn off completely and only come on when motion is detected. These are all set via the remote, which is great as you can have the light up high and still control it.

The motion sensor aspect works really well. I’ve tested it in my garden and it has come on every single time it sensed movement.

It comes with wall plugs, screws and a bracket too, so everything you need to install it is already in the box.

All in all it works great as a motion sensor solar light to deter intruders or provide light when you’re in your garden or driveway.

I hope you found this review helpful.
