Great game for YOUNG childre
Great game, but I should have read the description in more detail, it’s definitely for young children I would say 6-8 years? Bought for my 9 year old and was too easy, should have got the original one
Family and Kids challenge - Kids to challenge parents with their new words - lol
This games is to be played by kids with age ranges from 5 to 10 along with the family.
I will advise to get a dictionary, as today kids has some ‘querky’ words but its fun for all the family. Very challenging especially when you hear the kids meaning for their spelt words.
Its recommended with a good price tag.
Brilliant starter pack
Bought it to try and get my 5 year old grandson to identify letters as he’s a little distracted in school. The letters are great for learning as he’s a Welsh speaker, so making up words was great. Flipped the board and he enjoyed identifying and trying to finish the English words, reward of sweets helped!!
From age 6…maybe 7
I bought this for my daughter who is 6. She’s a great little reader, but 6 is maybe a little year young for knowing the correct spelling of the words in the beginner side of the board.
I remember the beginner version of this game when I was young and it had all the letters of the words printer, where this one just has some of the letters printed – so I’d say 6 may be a little too young for this edition of it.
The board is a great quality, and the counters are too. The little card tokens are great to add a competitive option to the junior game while there’s no number points associated with the letters you use.
A good first step
I remember my daughters having this. No idea what happened to it but happy to buy a new version for one of my grandchildren. I like the inclusion of the easy crossword puzzle side (is that new?). Hopefully it’ll help educate as well as entertain.
Fun game!
This game has been bought for our young grandson to help with learning to spell. It’s for his Christmas so I can’t say what it looks like inside, but the outside of the box is very colourful and looks fun and I think he will enjoy it! Good value getting two games in one box. Happy to recommend.
Good game for kids
My sons favourite game out of his birthday presents. Easy enough to play even for little ones (provided they can read) due to the ‘easy’ side of the board. This is a game my boy brings out to play over and over again. Helps them with their words too so I like the educational aspect. Would recommend
Good game but tiles missing
This game is great had this for my children, however bought this again for my grandchildren and was so disappointed to find there were tiles missing – 1 U and one T this spoiled the game as my grandson needed the U to complete his word ! Having to now find a tile with a U on it from somewhere? Feel let down my Mattel .
Game 1, Packing 0
The game itself is fine but this arrived as it with a label stuck on it and wasn’t even packed. This is a gift for my nephew, so not really happy about that at all! Plus with the pandemic going on, who has handled this?! Very poor packing Amazon!
Great game
Excellent to help children learn, no good for “thickies” and can’t be worn as tights. Does that answer Amazons request to comment on THICKNESS & SHEERNESS! However, EXCELLENT value for money!

Not having the correct amount of letter tiles to complete the game was very disappointing
Hi received the scrabble game and started playing it with my grandson, good learning tool for him, at the end of the game I found that there was not enough u letter tiles to complete the game this was very disappointing.
So I have a bone to pick with this game, why are only some of the letters underlined to say which was round. The n is underlined but not the u so when we used it the first time we got stuck at the end as u’s had been used as n’s before realised only one was underlined….. Not the best idea for child use
5 year old son enjoyed it.
I really enjoyed playing this with my 5 year old. However, I found it useful to write down the words we needed to make so he could check if he had any of the letters to complete the words. I think as he gets older it will come a lot quicker. It’s a shame no tile holders are included too but it’s all good. The letter bag is great.
I’m not sure how long it would hold his attention playing on the other side of the board tho without the word pictures and hints.
