Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOld grumpy and fed up with seeing useless advice and five stars for items that aren’t perfect. Worlds gone mad and people have been brain washed. 5stars at least to me mean faultless in all ways and there’s almost nothing on the big A that’s 5 stars. That aside. Oh and if you watch the man showing the video about the connection for the gauge changing side, blaming the bad fist of the Allen on a bit of paint, it’s imperial not a metric allen. For those saying the gauge doesn’t work, try PTFE tape and a spanner, but not like some show you on the tube, wrapping about 7 layer of tape on it. Twice round is more than enough.

The Good it’s a sound unit, the one I received at least. Comes to the door quickly and well packed. You get what you see advertised. For those asking if it come with connections as well for about 17, NO!. It’s solid, it works and for the price I only have one complaint.

The Bad It does look as though you can change the gauge onto the other side to suit the direction of flow, that is super useful when possible. Firstly, like you see with lots of air hoses, the fitting is imperial, or for those who don’t know that means, measured in feet and inches. I’m not sure you can change it, although all the other fittings reverse easily, I’ve tried as have others to get that blanking screw out and it’s a mother.. I only have one filter so I gave in and made do. I am going to buy another, get it in a vice and update the review accordingly on this issue.

If you want a decently catch for the airline, I’d say this is amongst the useful end of the spectrum. Perfect, no, but nothing is these days. Who ever it was saying you can’t easily fit it to the compressor, you don’t fit them to the compressor. You need a meter or more of hose between the compressor and the filter for it to be truly effective. The compressors sold with them attached are well, a bit of gimmick. Just check out some good advice of experienced users in actual trade shop or wade your way through on the tube for the good. I so hope this helps just one person, my work will be done.

Bought to fit permanently to a plasma cutter. The instructions regarding the operation of the water drain are incorrect insofar as this unit self-drains when the compressed air supply is disconnected. That’s not a problem and, possibly, a benefit. It would be useful if a blanking plug was included for situations where the air pressure gauge is not required but that is a minor cavil. Other than those quibbles, it does exactly what I need.

Others have said this is cheap, poor quality and it leaks air. Yes it’s cheap, but take a bit of care when PTFE’ing the fitting, don’t be an ape and over tighten everything and it’s absolutely fine.
Be aware that to set the pressure takes a lot of turns on the regulator knob.

Works perfectly, self draining when the pressure drops.
Gauge is packed separate in the box and you will need PTFE tape to assemble.
    Great value.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThis product works fine with easy pressure regulation but here’s some tips. All pipes or gauges connected to the unit must have PTFE wrapped threads before screwing home. You must connect to the compressor using the threaded hole that has the arrow above it. Due to the auto moisture flush when depressurizing you must pull down on the moisture vent (bottom of clear cup) as the pressure first builds. Once you do that it will stay closed until the system depressurizes. Yes it’s a bit plastic but the machined metal units are up to twenty times the price! It looks as if there are three outlets and one input hole, however one of the outlets seemed permanently closed. Rather than damage the unit I just bought a one in/two out pipe adapter. I suspect that some of the bad reviews have run foul of the above points as when assembled correctly the unit worked well and the gauge was accurate too.

Surprised at the high quality of this regulator, works well and handles a wide range of pressures

Held a solid 145 psi from the compressor with no leaks. Previously used machine mart regulators which constantly leaked and were more than double the price.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI have 9 of these now, one for the laser cutter, one for my spray area, 4 for the cnc router (3 for auto tool changer), 3 on pressure pots. The threads on the connectors are good quality, the regulator is pretty easy to read and easy to set – if you drop the pressure it will vent the excess which is really handy. The bowl will drain when there is no pressure to it, or you can press the nipple in when it’s under pressure to release the water in a nice foggy spray heh. Durability has been great, I’ve had no issues with leaks or poor quality seals.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAs the heading says, this was simple to fit. If you follow the instructions and use PTFE tape (plumbers tape) on the gauge and the inlet / outlet adaptors you choose to fit (I used PCL – 1/4 bsp to male PCL bayonet on the inlet and 1/4 bsp female PCL quick coupler on the outlet), you should not encounter any leaks.

The pressure control seems fine and when you are finished and the pressure drops it auto-drains the bowl. My only slight criticism would be the bracket strength and the way it’s clamped on by the plastic ring, tend to have movement when plugging and unplugging the airlines, but overall for the price it’s excellent. Certainly much cheaper than buying a new filter for inside my old Norgren filter regulator.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersNearly bought an expensive Clarke air line filter, but thought I’d try this one at the low price and with Prime it came next day.

Bought some Silverline euro connectors to match my hoses, and used some PTFE tape to attach them (including attaching the gauge with PTFE). I am amazed that at 80+psi this does not even give a slight hiss, and is perfectly sealed! Can’t fault! No need to buy more expensive ones!

Did a great job of filtering water and oil out of my compressor for a quick and dirty home spray painting job.

Any oil filtered can cause some small issues with the seal between the bowl and regulator if it gets onto the seals, easy enough to clean back up though.

It is working fine and build quality seems good. It is larger than expected so we had to make some modifications to our plant to accompodsate this.

This water trap is a much better quality and much larger than the other one that I sent back. Which was in complete this one is from a different seller, and the price difference is very little but the quality is a lot greater. Fitted water trap works absolutely great as I did not notice it and have forgotten about it, so it’s your ideal product.
