I have had many different types of measuring tape and usually keep one in each of my tool boxes. So when one of my tapes got damaged, I decided to look for a replacement. After some investigation I decided to buy this Stanley one and so far, it has been excellent. It is a little heavy but it is well made. Not a bad price and good reliable delivery. So all in all,a good purchase.

Massive benefit being 8 Meters, with 3 Meter Stand Out. It wouldn’t be my day to day tape measure, bit bulky to have on belt on in pouch . But a good solid construction, robust and easy to read!

Great for my job, I work in millimetres so good for me, sturdy tapes and can open a good distance to measure, and can last a long time if looked afte

I’ve owned a few tape measures, but this is by far the best one I’ve had. Instantly upon unboxing you can tell it’s high quality, the tape being thick and carrying a good weight and the locking mechanism being extremely strong. Definitely better than the others I’ve tried.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSturdy tape, sadly mine developed a small nick at 450mm which rendered it useless as it would catch on the case upon retracting. Hopefully this is just bad luck as it was great while it was working. A million times better than the tylon ones if you are using it daily.

    Great quality
At the time of purchase it was a excellent price
    Well packaged
    Fast delivery
More expensive than my usual buys but looking at this I should have bought one years ago
The tape is rigid but easy to expand and reel in
    Ideal for long measurement’s
    Well pleased

This is a true beast. It’s well made, rubberised in part to help it survive if you drop it, (which is what caused the death of my last one ( not this make ) ) . It’s really quite heavy so might not suit all but it’s a well made product , as you’d expect with Stanley products it’s easy to use and easy to read.

You’d need to be pretty strong to cope with this; it’s heavy and the metal tape can get out of control. But I’m not strong and not used to it. Builders etc would probably have no problem.

Over the years, I have collected a good number of measuring tapes.

Those that are flimsy, those that don’t recoil well and those that seem to give a different measurement each time you use them.

I needed a good tape. This aas recommended to me, saw the reviews and it looked OK.

I wish I had bought this years ago, although I cannot comment on the longevity, it feels substantial and so far hasn’t let me down.

Don’t be a wally, be a real man / woman and buy one if you need a good tape.

For me the Stanley tape rules are the gold standard.Clear and accurate scales with a durable end hook and all in a case that has the corners rounded off so it doesn’t wear holes in pockets.I don’t clip it to a belt or pocket because its too easy to scratch surrounding furniture,so this matters. This model isn’t as bulky as the larger tape rules and has been my everyday choice for some years. They do eventually wear out,but not until long after lesser versions would have found their way to the bin.
