East to install, excellent camera quality and features. The alarm feature is great but would be better if you could trigger all cameras at the same time unfortunately it has to be done one by one.

App is very good also and the free version is excellent.

Good quality camera system. I bought to replace older system which was HD only but suffered from spiders who love to spin their webs over the infra red LEDs and lenses of the older type cameras which blurred and blocked the pictures. The 4k allows numberplate recognition at a much greater distance.

I already had 2 Swann cameras and a hard drive but the 2 additional cameras will give me full Al around security.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe Worse feature for Fitting, is that the cables require a 16mm hole to go through, say a door frame
25mm for 2 cables, this is because the system uses industry standard fittings, when what it really needs is a specialist connector to minimise the size of the hole you need to drill, I fould it impossible to get 2 cables through a 16mm hole, as the fittings are so chunky and industrial.

4 cables you would need 2 X 25mm holes, absolutely mad.

I bought trunking and small boxes to connect the cameras up, to help make it squirrel and rodent proof, should be steel! but there is a limit.

Round conduit is good but its ugly and only comes in black and white and costs far more.

Connectiong to the HDD box is also a problem because the connections are so close to each other there is hardly any wriggle room for fingers.

Viewing on a monitor is a pain, it refuses to work with some TV’S because of the 4K requirement older TV’S do not support this.

Also everytime you go to look at it, the password is required, even to change between the different display settings.

I eventually worked out how to switch off the Watermark that says Swann, it is hidden in Deep Pan settings.

I find the Iphone app variable, sometimes it connects easily other times not at all, viewing clips is easier on the App but doing it on the monitor is a definite learning curve, as the software is still stuck back in time when it was first developed.

What Swann appear to have done is upgraded selected bits, but used the old, if its not broke, don’t fix it mode of thinking, and just left it, in it’s user unfriendly world.

Fitting the Cameras is a problem too, as they are designed to go against a flat surface and don’t angle properly without giving a weird angled shot.

I got around this by adapting some arris rail brackets.

I have bought a ring door camera to suppliment my system and will add a PTZ which might have ti be a WIFI one as I have already ran out of Channels all 8 will be taken.

My advice is turn off the alerts, when you at home, as they drive you mad, they alert for everything, a tree blowing in the wind, a car driving by, your neighbour putting out the trash etc

Overall it is a good system. like everything nothing is perfect.

Don’t forget to learn how to format the HDD every now and then, because it soon fills up with rubbish, endless shots of that bloke walking i and out fitting cameras for instance.

It is good at spotting Moths and spiders most entertaining.

I would therefore recommend that you still by one.

After you have taken on board all points mentioned.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery happy with product, would buy again. Not happy with Amazon delivery, says parcel was handed to customer, this is not true just left at front door and did not even knock on door if I had been out anyone could have taken it., Amazon need to better train their delivery staff

This is a very good product easy to setup, the cameras have 2.6 mm wide lens. It is worth having the 4k system as the picture quality is amazing. Easy to navigate around the settings would recommend.

Well packaged, easy to use and set up, lots of instruction videos on YouTube. I can watch my house from anywhere in the world using my phone through the app and can set off alarm remotely. Highly recommend. Great on 4K TV.

Great system. Easy to set up. Hardest part was trying to feed the cables through the hole drilled in the wall. No real guidance on hole size. Perhaps they should include a sleeve for the end of the cables to make feeding through the hole easier.

Good quality daytime pictures. Reasonably priced kit that was quick and easy to set up. I added 2 dome type cameras to the system. They are similar in price to the Enforcer cameras supplied with the system and just as good quality during the day, but no comparison at night. Picture 3 shows the ball type camera at night. Picture 4 shows the Enforcer cameras supplied with this kit. The lighting conditions are the same, there is no comparison in the night time picture quality.

    Decent priced starter ki

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery good quality and fairly easy to set up and get going. I bought this model to replace an old Swann DVR. I left the power/BNC cables from my old DVR in place and fitted the new 4k cameras in the same positions were the old ones where. Plugged everything into the new DVR and started to adjust the settings to my likings.

Everything worked straight away and the image quality from the 4k cameras is amazing compared to the old ones. I did have a problem and I had a couple of conversations with their support staff who were indeed very helpful.

I would suggest that you only use the PIR function if you really need it as it can loose some instances due to it’s higher spec. I now use DETECTION alone as that covers to record all aspects at all times which is what I wanted. I now have the the Swann App on my mobile and I can view the house live and if look at the playback where ever I am. Very satisfied.

    Great quality and support helpline.

Takes a little while to set up, and for some reason the cables were a different polarity to my existing Swann CCTV unit which meant changing the cables, works well when set up though
