5.0 out of 5 stars Dvd
Not much to say. Dvd works fine and delivery was on time.
5.0 out of 5 stars Bough as a gif
My husband has the first three of the Matrix films, so I bought the fourth and final film for his birthday. He appreciated i
I love the matrix films and really enjoy Lana’s writing and direction.
It was disappointing that they replaced two of the main characters from the original trilogy but as the complex story unfolds I can understand why this isn’t a major issue but would of been nice considering.
Keanu is fantastic as usual and the visuals are really great.
5.0 out of 5 stars Bit slow to start but brilliant otherwise
If you like the previous fms you’ll love this x
5.0 out of 5 stars Sequel to much loved story.
Enjoyed film greatly, needed several watches to piece the story back together.
4.0 out of 5 stars Liked
Liked this with 1 and 2. The 3rd one not so much.
Quality produc
Dependant on your love or hate of this film there ain’t no denying that this is what you would expect from a blu ray. Great picture and sound and some pretty good special features. Obviously only buy if you liked the film, if not. Don’t!
Not as good as the original trilogy
I enjoyed going back into the Matrix to see what they could do, l knew it wasn’t going to be as good as the first, but was hoping for it to be better than the third one, but sadly it just falls short, I am one that enjoyed the 2nd one too, but didn’t like the third as much, but this one just as some plot points I thought they could had done better, but hey that’s just me, I can’t tell you what happens, you have to see it for yourself
Having watched all the other “Matrix” movies i was keen to see this one. However i was put off from doing so by all the negative reviews i had read. Eventually i decided to give it a go and i must say that i am glad i did. This is a Very good sequel and well worth watching. Yes i agree it is not quite as good as the other 3 but it is still a very good film and a good extension to the Matrix Franchise. It has a different feel to it but still has a great story line and superb fight scenes. This film runs for over 2hours and 20mins yet i never found myself hoping for it to end etc. Instead i found it flowed very well and kept me interested in it all the way to the end – unlike a lot of other films of the same duration. I suggest that you ignore all the negative reviews and watch this film yourself as think you will be pleasantly surprised as i was, Have given it a good solid 4 stars as it is a good solid film.
Quirky twist on the original story line - but needed….not sure?
Worth the wait? Not sure. Not a bad twist on the original story in a new matrix reset of sorts but the first film should have been just The One.
Controversial opinion but I really like this film and think it’s the second best in the series. The 4k disc is a real stunner, the picture is pin sharp and to quote a YouTube reviewer “4k crispy”. The blacks are very black if that make sense and some of flashes of whites are very bright. The ATMOS soundtrack is a stunner too with some good overhead effects and bullets whizzing between the front and rear speakers.
One of the best sci-fi films I’ve seen in a long time. As gripping and complex as the first Matrix film, but not a lazy follow on from the sequels. There are new characters that are able to hold their own weight and different characterisations of existing players. Paying close attention in the first half of the film is essential in order to pick up clues to what is really happening. Loved the new symbiots and the visual effects were stunning. Mildly disappointed in the casting of Mr Smith but I guess you can’t have everything. Not a film that allows you to simply switch off but rather one that challenges the viewer to sift and analyse scenes as they enfold – that’s a rare quality in sci-fi these days. Totally agree with the top reviewer – ignore the haters. I loved it.
Due to circumstances, I only had a chance to watch this film after the return date had passed so I am going to assume I can’t request a replacement. The film itself appears to be interesting in the Matrix style, however, whilst the musical/orchestral soundtrack was heard throughout the film, the vocal soundtrack was muffled and could not be heard (even with my player volume turned up to over the 65 mark) during approx. 95% of the film. I guess I’ll have to buy a replacement if I want to hear it properly.
Was so excited when it was announced that they were making a new Matrix movie, I love them. I was sad when I couldn’t catch this in the cinema. I love sci-fi, romance, action, suspense. So this is right up my street. But the sound quality was awful. This is not my equipment or the Blu-ray disc, (watched every Marvel movie without issue) this is the sound Engineer of the movie that it’s to blame. I’ve never had to turn a movie up to 23 just to hear the dialogue (most of which is mumbled) and turn it down again because the sound effects and music was blaring. Story line was ok, but my family and I are just so disappointed. This film could have been so much more. Nothing wrong with the acting or choice of cast, they were all brilliant. Which is why this got 4 stars. Just a weak storyline and the sound mixing awful.
Love this saw it at the cinema.
What can I say I love the film I have all the other Matrix films and glad they made this despite others saying they shouldn’t I feel it gives the series of films a proper ending but that’s my opinion watch and decide for yourself but I love Keanu reeves in anything anyway but the film was very good.
Must admit, given how the third and presumed final instalment some
18 years ago, I did wonder how this one would pan-out.
Keanu Reeves resumes his role as Neo, however, these days he lives
a normal life working as a Video-Game-Developer.
However, he will after all the years away be invited back into the Matrix,
which initially he’s unsure of doing realizing he’ll not, or probably won’t
be the same as he once was, but, back before events of the third in the
series he goes.
Neo will again meet many of the characters from before including his
love interest Trinity/Tiffany (Carrie-Anne Moss) along with Morpheus
with flash-backs of Michael Fassbender as the character and arch-enemy
Mr Smith, again with brief flashbacks to the original casting.
The first half of the film did feel a little muddled in my view but came to
life in the second-half bringing back many a memory of hoe things were
before with superb action-sequences and indeed dazzling CGI enhanced
greatly on the 4k version with its superb picture quality.
