Always fancied one of these little stove top fans for my log burner. Found it on Amazon, read the reviews and I cannot be more pleased, great value for money and surprisingly effective. Moves warm air around our lounge and into the hallway and managed to increase the temperature on our room stat – so it seems to be working .

I have rewritten my review as my first impressions were not very positive but actually now that I have better positioned the fan on the stove I have to say it works great!

I am extremely noise averse and this is pleasantly quiet. My ticking clock far over rides the noise. Only added it at the end of this fire, as I had forgotten about it, but opened the living room door and heat is being pushed out. Put a piece of paper against it and it certainly was moving.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quie

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersYou’d not want to be watching TV with this going on.
    *UPDATE*
After running this device for a couple of days it seems that the whine has gone and now runs as I would expect, virtually silent. So have updated star from 1 to 4. Only 4 as I should not have to wait for it to fix itslef.

Was sceptical at first but place it near the flue (hottest part) and it silently whirrs away spreading lovely heat about the room. Well constructed and quiet. Recommend this produc

It’s a great wee fan for dispersing heat around the room. I’m not hearing any noise from it at all either. The only thing, and its not a complaint, is it’s a shame the fan doesn’t rotate (fan stays in fixed position).

This is my second stove fan now, because I have two burners. My first fan was at least another 60, this one is just as good and looks the same, I would highly recommend this fan.

Enables us to heat the house using just the wood burner. Great bit of ki

Got this for a small multi-fuel stove. It starts at a low enough temperature. You can feel the current of air coming from it. Not sure if it makes much of a difference heat wise, but it’s no harm to better distribute air around a burning stove. Looks like it will last.

Sits at the back of our log burner spinning away and distributing heat . Wish we had ine when we owned a narrow boat. Would be ideal

I have had a new multifuel burner installed and this fan is amazing. Rotates when the fire is getting hot i love it – it makes the room really warm

I was a bit dubious of how well this would work, but it does move a fair amount of air. The heatsink could do with being a bit deeper (front to back) so more air can make contact with the fins to exchange more heat, but even at its size, the air is reasonably warm when it’s blown.

I’ve noticed a difference straight away.
The blades start rotating about half hour after I have lit my fire and my room is warm and cosy within the hour and it’s silent.
The heat is moved into the room, it’s a huge improvement. Thoroughly recommend this produc

Circulates the heat so well and is super quiet. Also looks lovely. Highly recommend

Good size, big enough to spin at a non-crazy speed and therefore silently. Looked at 7 this was my favourite. Good build. Some smaller fans can spin so fast they have a high pitched noticeable wine, yet shift no more air.

Bought this on the advice of stove fitter. Thought it was just a gimmick. But no! It really does push out the hot air caught around the inside of the fireplace and pushes it into the room. Well worth the 30!

At first it worked and started to turn over within a few minutes of the stove being lit. Lately (nearly 12 months on) it has to be flicked to get it to run. Not happy. .However I recently moved it in front of the flue, that was a mistake as it needs a differential in temperature to work effectively. Placed back where I originally had it it now works as it should. Happy to give it 4 stars.

Have a flat top hunter stove… started spinning almost immediately before even got to 200C. The air current is strong enough to feel about a foot away and is warm, so it definitely does something.
It is almost silent but obvs can’t be completely silent. May get another one!
For those interested is has an electric motor powering the fan driven by a voltage generated by a heat differential (Peltier Effect). So there is a heat sink that makes the other side of the module cooler than the base… trouble is when the whole unit heats up the fan does slow down naturally due to the reduced differential.

Works well and fan starts sooner than the old one we have in place. A little more noise than the old one but still ok.

A quite fan that distributes heat from wood burner very effectively. Bit pricey for what it is though. 8/10.

Have bought 2nr of these log burner fans, the initial one is great and very quiet, but the 2nd fan when rotating has a slightly annoying clicking sound. Can anyone help with suggestions to resolve. Overall good value though.

This fan distributes the heat around the room much more evenly. We can leave the door open and it helps the heat to warm upstairs too! Definitely value for money.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersOverall it seems to be well made, it sits nice and flat on a decent sized base and the gearing on the fan is well ballanced with a near silent opperation, it also has a fold down handle on the top which makes moving it easier when hot (if you need to reposition it), it does give out a light flow of air but it is very slight so i honestly don’t know how effective it’ll be for moving warm air around the room but from extensive research they all seem to give out hardly any noticable air flow so as to whether it actually does anything other than just spin i’m still on the fence on that one.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersI bought this to sit on a wood burning stove, which is set back in a chimney alcove. I also wanted to see how well it performed at redistributing the heat a) around our lounge b) out into other rooms e.g. The hallway, where the thermostat is located. I had been told by a fire installer that they were nothing more than a novelty. I found this one through an article about these fans and was pleasantly surprised to see, how well built it was. Initially I thought three blades wouldn’t be enough but didn’t want to pay more until I had tested a cheaper one; more blades appears to mean more cost.

We’ve been running the fan for about a week now and I can say I am pretty impressed with it. Our stove was getting very hot at times and now I realise it’s because it’s set back in the alcove. The fan, which is pushing the hot air out into the room, is keeping the stove at a much safer temprature than we were experiencing previously; this means the stove should last longer. The lounge is more comfortably warm i.e. Not making us sweat out and it is also now warming two other rooms. It’s not heating them up a lot but it’s enough whereby they are more comfortable to be in if the heating is turned down. I now think that our stove is working more for us now than it was before, all because of a fan. We’ll worth the purchase, very happy with the associated delivery, etc too. Win, win.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersLike many people, I always wondered whether these fans were a bit of a gimmick. But it’s NOT! We have a log burner in the kitchen, it heats the hot water and radiators upstairs, but the living room only has a little electric fire. So anyway, we usually leave it as late as we can before firing the log burner up, although I bought the fan in August, we’ve only just lit the fire mid Nov, and unboxed the fan,. Nice looking little thing, started twirling within minutes of putting it on the stove, very slight whirling sound but not really noticeable. I have it aimed at the living room door and wow, I would never have believed such a small thing could make any real difference, but it has, it’s blowing warm air across the kitchen into the living room and we haven’t had to turn on the electric fire at all since using the fan. I was on the verge of getting a small logburner in the living room, but am now rethinking. Either way, it’s already paid for itself by saving me money by not having to turn on the electric fire. Win win.
