Which bottle teats are compatible with Closer to Nature Advanced Anti-Colic bottles?
Only Advanced Anti-Colic teats will work with Advanced Anti-Colic bottles. Using the wrong teat on your Anti-Colic bottle will reduce the effectiveness of the anti-colic system and may cause your bottles to leak.
Which flow rate do I need?
Every baby is different but as a guide we suggest slow flow for 0+months, medium flow for 3+ months and fast flow for 6+ months. As your baby grows and can feed more quickly, you can buy faster flowing replacement teats.
How do I know when to increase the bottle teat flow rate?
The following are all potential signs that you may need to increase the bottle teat flow rate: The bottle teat collapses during feeding; it takes longer than 20 minutes for baby to finish a bottle; baby tugs at the teat; baby falls asleep mid-bottle.
How do I ensure the valve is functioning correctly before feeding?
Check the star valve before you make up a feed. If the slit in the star valve is sealed closed your bottle will not vent properly. Hold up to the light and if you can’t see the slit, pinch it gently using teat tongs to re-open.
What’s the best way to test the feed temperature when using the venting tube?
Ensure that the venting tube is at room temperature before testing the temperature of the feed. Dip the tube for 10 seconds. If the heat sensing strip shows solid pink, the feed may be too hot. Allow the feed to cool further before feeding your baby.

I washed and sterilised theese bottles as per the instructions I left it in the steriliser and went to get a bottle for a feed about 16 hours later (bottles stay sterile for 24hours) and the white thing in the middle was mouldy!!! I’ve never had a bottle go mouldy on me after 4 children it is disgusting!!!
I purchased these as a gift for a friend within a baby shower hamper! The value for money is very good! I loved the fact that all the cleaning tools were included as she did have other bottles that she needed tools for as well!
I was lucky to find this set on sale with half a price. Yes ot came in 2 weeks time, but it worths the wait. My baby takes only these bottles, probably because of the shape of the tit.
These bottles are perfect for little ones to start with. This is a set of four bottles. two of them are 260 ml and another two are 150 ml. All bottles are transparent with the same colour tops.
This is my second set of Tommee Tippee bottles and I’m happy with the product. This set came in a box with all bottles individually packed which makes it easy to choose the bottles I want to use and keep others in storage. As these bottles are BPA- and phthalate-free, are safe to use but I’m still not comfortable using these bottles in the microwave and dishwasher. I have sterilized these bottles before using them. These bottles are perfect to use and didn’t have a particular smell to them after opening the box the first time.
As these bottles have a breast-like teat which makes them very comfortable to use for babies as hard to switch between breasts and bottles. The shape of the bottle is very comfortable and easy to hold, I can hold these bottles with my single hand. I liked the quality of the teat. The teat is very soft and I guess easy to latch on. This set came with one set of extra size 2 teat. Another good thing is, that it has heat sensing technology. the rod in middle changes its colour when it’s too hot.
All bottles are big enough to fill the baby’s tummy. I didn’t notice any leakage till now. these bottles are well made and definitely recommend them. As the teats are replaceable It’s easy to change the size as the baby grows.
The anti-colic valve works wonderfully and is easy to use as this set has a less complicated design to use and clean compare to other advanced anti-colic bottles. I generally use these bottles when I’m going out somewhere and these bottles are perfect for occasional use.
This set supposes to come with the two soothers but there was only one. Also, there is a brush to clean these bottles but I won’t use it as it’s hard and it will scratch the bottles.
The bottles can be sterilised ,which is good.
They are dishwasher safe, which is great for their use in future as it takes time to wash them by hand.
On the box you can see that the bottles are coming with two dummies, but I received only one.
The bottles are coming with a cleaning brush, which is good as I can wash them much better.
The bottles don’t take much time to assemble/disassemble them.
The bottles are having anti-colic venting system, which is good for the baby.

The box should come with four bottles, two large and two smaller ones to see you through from newborn and beyond for several months. The set includes a slow flow teat for newborns on each bottle, in addition there are also a couple of additional teats for faster flow when baby is a little older. You’ll get a bottle brush – which is good quality but the packaging on mine looked like it was already opened by someone else, and unfortunately I was also missing an extra dummy. There should have been two dummies in the box. Fortunately the additional teats, four bottles and one dummy are still sealed in their plastic bags. Just disappointing there is a missing item and signs that the box was previously opened and returned. The teats themselves are soft and pliable, with the dummy having the same quality. And the heat sensor inside the bottles gives extra confidence that that the formula is at the right temperature. There is another range of Tommee Tippee bottles that are also part of the ‘closer to nature’ range without the heat sensor and has anti-colic properties, on the slightly cheaper side which I prefer due to less parts to clean up, and the teats feel and are shaped the same. Unfortunately I was also sent less bottles than advertised on Amazon from that range as well – and this is the second time I’ve not received everything in a Tommee Tippee box from Amazon, something to be wary of. Providing you do receive everything advertised in this set, it’s enough to start you off on your new baby journey.
