This one reads an accurate room temperature compared to it’s earlier version that we found was out by a degree and a bit. Easy to use at a glance with the colour changer and i like that you can turn the light off for use in the bedroom prior to D’s arrival. Would recommend this version.

This is great for making sure your newborn baby’s room is the right temperature, and it doubles up as a nightlight so good for night feeds. It’s been a useful tool for a first time parent and was recommended by a midwife at the hospital.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe actually lamp itself is tiny, and it’s kind of pointless as all it’s really useful for is seeing the room temperature. The light isn’t bright enough to use to change/feed baby. All in all not worth buying unless you’re just wanting a room thermometer!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersPros- small and compact. Not too bright for me as I don’t like completely dark rooms. Very accurate I also have a carbon monoxide machine that also reads temp and they match.
Cons- has to always be plugged in to a mains power source. No adapter.
The colours are quite similar personally I think should be blue for too cold, green for ideal and red for too hot. But it goes a red/amber to an orange to a yellow. So looks quite similar.

My only issue with this is that the orange and red colours are too similar, so it’s not easy to tell how hot it actually is, without glancing at the temperature, which for me in the middle of the night without my glasses on, isn’t easy..

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a great item in the sense that it alerts you to any temperature changes in your little ones room as well as acting as a night light. It’s quite accurate with the temperature and the lighting system makes it really easy to know instantly whether the room temperature is right or not.

However, even on the dimmest setting, when it decides to flash between two colours (as the temperature is just on the edge of being just right and either too hot or too cold), it’s like an airplane homing beacon flashing in the bedroom.

Only other gripe is that it doesn’t come with a plug, only the USB lead.

I really like the grow egg, it’s useful to give a rough idea of what baby should be wearing and makes a great night light, the only down side is that when it switches between 2 temperature ranges the colour changes and when you’ve got any air flow in the room and it can’t decide which range it’s in it flicks between 2 colours! Otherwise tho it’s grea

The Tommee Tippee GroEgg2 is a game-changer! This digital room thermometer and night light combo is a must-have for parents.

First off, the thermometer is spot-on accurate, providing real-time temperature readings for the nursery. It takes the guesswork out of ensuring a comfortable environment for my little one.

But it doesn’t stop there! The colour-changing feature is genius. It visually indicates the room temperature, so I can tell at a glance if it’s too hot or too cold. It’s like having a traffic light for my baby’s comfort.

The added night light is a bonus. It emits a gentle and soothing glow, creating a calming atmosphere during nighttime feedings or diaper changes. Plus, it’s USB powered, so no need for batteries.

Overall, the Tommee Tippee GroEgg2 is a lifesaver for parents. It combines a precise room thermometer with a soothing night light, all in one sleek package. Create the perfect environment for your little one with this essential nursery gadget!

This was a gift for new parents, who have loved the product. It’s easy to use and has been helpful with monitoring the room temperature especially when its been really warm!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis has been perfect for my newborn, especially in the warmer weather. The nightlight isn’t too bright but enough for a baby, the thermometer has been great to see how warm or cold the room is. It changes colour depending on whether it’s cold, warm or hot. Would recommend for any parent.

Good as it accurately displays room temperature however, the light isn’t bright enough to actually see baby and so you may rely on another source of light. Could get a cheaper room thermometer for same functionality.

This is easy to use, but a lot smaller than I was expecting and the colours don’t exactly match the guidance so it can be difficult to work out. Also unclear whether you can use the USB in a plug.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHandy product for baby- simple design and colour coded temperature is very handy as you can tell whether it’s too hot or cold at a quick glance. Only downside is that the lead that came with the product is finicky so the product has to be used on a flat surface with lead adjusted as if knocked/ moved it can turn off which is not ideal. Other than that would recommend as could probably replace the lead easily enough though not ideal to have to replace after buying new but hey it works

As a nightlight, not bright enough. I still needed to use my lamp/phone torch for changes and night feeds. Temperature readings seem accurate. During the night, the temperature fluctuates a degree or 2 with window closed. As soon as its opened, u can see the reading change (me, hubby and baby in a small room) Can only be used whilst plugged in. No option to just charge it. Not worth the price but it looks nice and I like that fact I can see the temperature straight away from a distance.
