I’ve had the chance to use the Tommee Tippee Growfriend Owl, and it’s been a delightful addition to our nursery. The combination of soft sounds, gentle lights, and soothing lullabies has created a calming environment that helps my baby transition into sleep smoothly. The interactive features, like the responsive tapping, are engaging for my little one during playtime. The adjustable settings are practical, allowing me to tailor the experience to suit different situations. The owl’s adorable design adds a cute touch to the room decor, and its portability means we can take it wherever we go. If you’re a parent seeking a versatile sleep aid and interactive toy, the Tommee Tippee Growfriend Owl is definitely worth considering — it’s become a cherished part of our daily routine!

We’ve had this for 6months and I think we’ve only charged it three times. Would prefer an option to leave the sound on longer than the 20mins but it’s still great. We use it everyday for bed and naps.

Had my grandson for a sleep over tonight, this little owl helped me so much with the little heartbeat! Every time he stirred on he went – I love him and the sound. There are different sounds he makes too.

Pip is actually a life saver, I am so thankful for the extra moments of sleep thanks to pip. Yes it’s annoying when baby sleeps in your room but after a while of being exhausted you really don’t care, the white noise works so well and the cry sensor works well. Little one is now 10 weeks and only had to charge pip once so far, he’s used on a daily basis often a couple of times a day.

I buy these for anyone having kids as a gift. The owl lasts for ages without charge. It has a great system option to come on when crying or on a timer. Lots of white noise options and lullabys. Good 3 level volume control.

Ours still going as a soft teddy now. Always recommend to friends.

Fantastic calming toy that our baby loves. We feel we couldn’t live without this now as part of our baby’s routine at night. He seems to really settle in the sleep next to me cot when this is playing a lullaby/white noise. Would highly recommend this produc

I did have to send the first one back as after 2 weeks it stopped making any noise but the second one I recieved I’ve had no problems with and helps my nephew fall asleep.

I previously bought the mini version of this from a completely different seller & had an all round bad experience (I left a review if you’re interested). This version wasn’t much more money & it has many more features/functions & unlike the mini one I got actually worked!! I ordered it on Amazon Prime next day delivery & it was sent immediately, as promised. The box was pristine (the other one had a torn box & looked like it had been a return) & I was extremely happy to give it to my son & his wife who are expecting their first child. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

I do not have a child myself but I have two nephews. My sister’s both swear by this product. It really does work. The only issue we found are the instructions to get it started are rather hard to find and volume control could be slightly better, but well worth the price overall! A great baby shower gift! Xx

Just today have realised how important and can’t without it is when run out of battery, and I’ve charged it only once when it arrived and I was still pregnant then. Now my daughter is almost 3 months old and I’m surprised that with the cry sensor on 24/24 I had only charged it once ,like 4months ago.I’ve mostly used the white noise or lullaby when set her into the next to me ,once she will look a bit drowsy, about to fall asleep will change to white noise. The cry sensor will go on not only she will cry but if moves a lot while sleeping so I find works best white noise rather than lullabies as might woke her up instead of getting her back to sleep.
Don’t think twice and get it,your baby will love i

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis was bought for my two and a half year old granddaughter as a treat to go in her newly decorated bedroom for when she stays over. We had to return the first one as it was wired up wrong and the the sound activities didn’t work as per the instructions and there were no lullabies. Amazon Prime was brilliant and the return/exchange was completed easily with no problems. So I would say if you are giving this as a gift just to check it out first to be sure everything is working well.

I wish I’d seen this toy sooner and bought it for my granddaughter when she was younger. She instantly fell in love with it and carried it around with her, but was a little put out when I changed the lullaby music for the heartbeat! She soon sorted it out by changing it back to the music. My granddaughter loves the little light in its tummy and fell asleep cuddling her new toy at nighttime. The battery charge seemed to hold up very well, although I didn’t time it. It did however have a good few hours of use during the 3 days/nights and it hadn’t depleted the battery by the time my granddaughter had returned home. I didn’t try the noise activated sensor on it so I can’t vouch for that element of the toy. It is very well made and soft to hold and cuddle. The only downside is it cannot be fully immersed in water for washing as the electrical component of the toy cannot be fully removed as some similar toys can be, but it can be sponge surface washed.

I am very pleased with my purchase and like I said, I wish l’d seen it sooner and would have purchased it for when my granddaughter was a baby. I highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’m three days into life with a newborn and I don’t think it would have been half as easy to settle her for naps without one of these!
She loves the heartbeat sound on it as well as the light at night time.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis has honestly been a little lifesaver, and I attribute my son’s good night sleeps to this thing.

In short, the cry sensor works quite well, when he wakes up in the night it’ll blast some white noise/lullabies until he passes out again. It has a good selection of sounds (White noise static, a river, heartbeat, and 3 lullabies). 3 Levels of light that can be used, and 3 volume levels. We find max volume to be far too loud to be blasting next to a babies head, so we keep it on 2 or 1, depending on noise levels outside.

Soft material, well made, easy to recharge. Can’t fault it honestly. Used this since he was 6 months old and he’s now 2 1/2 and still continues to sleep through the night with this.

I’ve tried multiple sleep aids for my baby [Alexa playing white noise, Chicco teddy, Fisher-Price Koala] but this is definitely the best. It has womb, water and white noise on the right and lullabies on the left. It also has a red light to help with sleep and good volume control. I have only had to charge it once since buying months ago and I use it every night. I love that it turns off after 15mins and will turn back on if baby starts to cry. My baby goes back to sleep a lot when this comes on through the night. It’s brilliant, definitely recommend

I love this bear and all its features but really disappointed that the light has stopped working after a month and I can’t send it back as purchased before my little one was born. The light was a lifesaver at night time because it glows and you could see in the basket if they were stirring at night. Now I have to keep my lamp on which is a lot brighter. Love all the different lullabies and white noise. Also you can charge it with usb which I find easier.

This thing is amazing and one of the best purchases we made as new parents. We use it for nearly every sleep instance our baby has (daytime and nighttime) to help him get to sleep but also to stay asleep and cross into the next sleep cycle by himself. The panda has 3 sleep sound modes (heartbeat, ocean and fuzzy white noise) and some rhymes and there are 3 volume settings. It also has a helpful auto shut off so you don’t have to have it drive you nuts in the evening, and will auto turn on if the baby starts crying loud enough. Once you get used to pressing the correct arm / leg on the panda to get it to do what you want then it becomes very easy to use. the battery life on this is amazing. We’ve only charged it once and it has lasted 12 weeks on a single charge so far!

Firstly, I’m hugely impressed with battery life. One recharge has lasted us over a month twice now. This is using for both daytime naps and nighttime on cry sensor option.
Secondly, the cry sensor response is spot on, it doesn’t go on little grizzle, but will on loud crying, sudden external noise or a big cough or sneezing. This feature has been so useful when room sharing with baby / other child.
The timers are set well at 20 minutes and also the 3 hour window to complete switch off to work with baby awakenings, we have found.
The 3 noises and 3 lullabies are enough of a selection.
We’ve found the volume settings to be perfect for inside and to come on where you left them.
One bit of advice is that it is not loud enough, if you wanted to use on a pram on the go.
We don’t really use the nightlight much, but it’s bright enough for a nappy change.

We originally bought the penguin battery version to this but we changed to rechargeable because of the cost.
However we are now on our 5th one please read all.
Our baby fell in love with the white noise of it. The reason for reordering a new one is he loves him so much he would take it everywhere and throw him ect ect just like children do as they grow and learn new things. Unfortunately for the owl he learnt how to pull the back out which would then get damaged, my partner is great at fixing things but there was only so many times. After the 4th got Broken we both said “no more” but gradually our baby boy/ 2 year old was becoming agitated, not sleeping, trying to get out off his cot, grumpy and sleep deprived which had an impact to daylight life.
I gave in and bout another but.
This time I have put a short charge of cable and tucked it in and Sewn the back up with a tiny gap to get the cable out. Problem solved.
Safe to say we swear by this product and we would never go back!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe bought this as an alternative to Ewan the Dream sheep for our newborn son. He’s now three months old and we still use it every night. There’s some positives and some negatives.
    I’ll start with the positives:
The white noise is rhythmical and slowly changes as it continues to play. I personally find this very meditative and find it helps both me and my baby fall asleep.
The sound sensor is good and turns the white noise on when baby shouts or cries or if I drop something in the room.
The light is soft and makes a pleasant glow.
It can be hung up easily and securely on the side of the crib or elsewhere in the room.
The controls are easy to use and there are here different volume and brightness settings.

    The negatives:
The highest volume level is way too loud.
When the white noise comes on it starts quiet and gets louder.
The white noise abruptly stops after 20 minutes. (The 20 minutes is fine but I’d rather it faded out rather then just suddenly stopping)
After programming in the quietest volume the sensor will only play from the middle or loud volumes which means when it starts I have to manually turn it down.
The battery life isn’t great as the owl is almost always ‘listening’. We put in duracell ultra which are now working quite well but any cheap batteries just don’t last.
The only sounds that can come on with the noise sensor are white noise and the melodies which means there’s three sounds which we don’t use because they can only come on manually.
The light could be a little brighter.

I bought this in a half price sale so for me it works out as good value for money. Also, we do find it helps in getting the baby to sleep and putting him back down after a night feed. The white noise covers other noises well.

I bought Bennie the bear and the main purpose of my purchase was the intelligent cry sensor..Unfortunately, I was unhappy with the item because the cry sensor doesn’t work and I had to order a replacement I received very quickly and it is working properly. I read many reviews about the same problem with cry sensor feature. Moreover the manual description is wrong plus they forgot to mention in the instructions manual that you have to activate the cry sensor after you set the function switch (Cry senson on:continuous/Cry Sensor on with auto shut off: time-lapse in every 3 hours) on the battery like on old (battery) type Ollie, Bennie etc.

It won’t turn on until you press once the right ( for lullabies) or left paws (for white noises) depending on what sounds would you like to set as a shooter voice. You can choose from more options and you can set as well as the volume pressing Bennie’s left toe or the right toe for red belly light. Once you have done this you have to press again and hold the paws that you chose firstly and for approximately 5 sec. The song or noise will stop playing suddenly it means that the cry sensor is active.

At the first Bennie I cannot set up the cry sensor. However, the lullaby/white noise stopped playing when I held the button but started to play again after 10-20 seconds even if I hold the paw buttons longer or no noise.

I add 4 stars because I really love the product and has super design despite of the faulty series. I hope the second Bennie will continue work!!

Be careful with this product as they have a cry sensor faulty series. Tommee Tippee should call back the product if they don’t want more unsatisfied customers.

Golden Review Award: 29 From Our UsersLive action review. I am Using for the first time as I write this. Very easy to use so far. The lullaby setting is a lovely addition to bedtime feed and has added some soothing continuity for the transition from arms to cot. On first impression babba seems yo like it but I do think it would be slightly better if the volume could be turned down a bit more. Even on the quietest setting it is a little loud for my tastes we are still using the next to me crib and it is louder than I would like if this goes off in the night it will deffinately wake me and my partner whereas if the baby stirs he usually only wakes me unless he is really going for it. This may be a bit counter productive, we will have to see what happens…. The movement/ noise sensor is very very sensitive. So far it has been turned back on by a baby snuffely snore (I only just heard it and I am very in tune to him and in the bed next to the crib) and a baby Trump (Ok this was a bit louder he can rally let em rip but it wasn’t one of his loudest) . In fact I actually think it woke my little man up when he snuffled and the music came back on. I will update further once we have used a few times…. As I have been typing I found that the music seemed to be distracting my little man rather than soothing as he was looking for it. I have switched to white noise and he has gone back to sleep it may just be worth it as he was looking like he was about to kick off. We shall see how it goes. Baby seems to like it mummy is finding it a bit annoying so far.
