About Us

It started with a simple idea: Make digital navigation accessible for everyone. Since changing the way people drive, we have never stopped thinking about how we can improve how the world moves. Our technologies are a vehicle for us to take on bigger challenges. Rather than accept road accidents, emissions and traffic congestion as facts of life, we are actively working to solve these issues that affect us all. Our accurate maps, navigation software, real-time traffic information and APIs enable smart mobility on a global scale, making the roads safer, the drive easier and the air cleaner. TomTom technologies are helping to solve the challenges of climate change and road-related accidents by changing the way people move. That’s what motivates us to create and refine products that are designed to accelerate the adoption of automated, connected and electric driving.

Clean your dashboard first and then stick the pad on. Leave it for 24 hours before using.
The pad is perfect for our TomTom Satnav unit suction mount and holds it really well. Was a little concerned that it might loosen on really hot days in the sun but really no issue.
Can’t comment on removal but I’m not expecting to remove it to be honest!

I fitted one of these to my 2013 Honda Jazz a month ago and have used the sat nav on several occasions. It’s a 6″ Go 620, so fairly hefty, and the disc holds the unit very securely so far.

Can’t really beat 3M when it comes to adhesion. I’ve had one of these in my car on the dashboard for 3 years in the baking sun and freezing cold and it’s still held firm. That’s why I bought these again to use in my partners car. Not 100% perfectly flat dashboard but still it’s stuck fast. Wouldn’t trust anything else.
I will say though; if you use any form of interior cleaner or take it to be washed and cleaned inside, the chances are there’ll be silicone on your dashboard, which nothing will stick to. I used a little methylated spirits to clean the area where the pad would be stuck too. Be careful though, methylated spirits could damage or permanently mark/dull your dashboard. I’m not too bothered because it’s an older car and I don’t intend to remove the pad.
Can recommend these 100% if sticking to a clean and flat area.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersExcellent product for Tom Tom sat Navs. Carefully measure and decide where you want to install it, after installation it can NOT be easily removed, before damaging the double sided tape. I ruined one by not measuring it properly. I suggest measure first, mark the place with masking tape, put the disk where you want it, get out of the car, stand in the middle and look through the windscreen. Re-adjust if required, then take the backing off and stick the disk where you want. I placed mine in the middle of dash.

These should be included with the SatNav as the fitting provided is not easy to position in a small car. Very little additional cost but essential to fit a SatNav in the most convenient positio

The suction is stuck to the dashboard. Any further attempt to remove it could probably rip the dashboard right off. I’m surprised something like that wasn’t made clear on the product. I had a Tomtom before but not only did the new Tom Tom I bought came without any means of attaching it, as mentioned the suction I bought separately is stuck to the dashboard also causing insecurity.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMy own 4″ satnav broke down so I had borrowed a friends 6″ TomTom which was too large to put on the windscreen. The adhesive dashboard mount disc held the SatNav very securely, but I had to remove a rubber matt first so that the disc would attach to a smooth surface. When I removed the pad, it was very reluctant to shift probably due to hot weather.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI have a Tom Tom but I bought this in order to use a go pro camera in my car. The go pro mount has the same type of suction feature as a Tom Tom mount so is a perfect size.
I have a Honda Civic which has a nice flat central surface which is the ideal location for my go pro and Tom Tom which I also have. East to apply, you pick your spot, peel off the back and push firmly into place. I have used both the go pro and Tom Tom and the disc has held both items in place.
They are perfect for my car, as I said it has a flat surface. For our other car a Nissan Qashqai, I don’t think they would work as well, if at all, as the trim is not smooth, it has a textured finish. I have a weighted portable mount for this car. Having read a few reviews I would not have purchased this item for the Nissan. Hopefully there is a Nissan Qashqai owner who has used one and can give people an idea about its suitability.
No more marks on the windscreen, so no clues for would be thieves if you leave your Tom Tom in the car. The disc just looks like part of my dashboard trim.

I agree with a previous review as preparation is key, I used some acetone( nail varnish remover) to clean the selected dash area and the disc stuck really well. Left it to become really solid over night and used it the next day without problem. I used this on my VW Golf dash in the centre console tray which was the only flat and smooth area. Used a TomTom start25 on it without an issue.

After using air vent holder for ages I realised the air vents where damaged and needed another way to secure SatNav other than on windscreen. These discs are perfect, they are flat with no ridges on the edge. they are very sticky and the Easyport mount fixes securely onto disc. They are relatively unobstrusive and quite thin.
I had been using an old dash disc from my original TOMTOM classic but it was’nt right it had ridges on the edge that did’nt fix the mount properly I removed it using dental floss and sawing underneath the disc leaving a layer of adhesvie that just needed rubbing with your finger to remove, It left no visible marks on the dashboard plastic, I am sure these discs will be just as easy to remove. Also this is a great price for a TOMTOM original packaged item. I have not seen them any cheaper(New) on the Web.

having previously had a car with built in Sat Nav, newer car meant buying a portable sat nav. However – I hate trailing wires in cars with a passion, so decided to get the portable system hardwired, this neatly stowed the cable! – I trawled various forums on the net before opting for these ( there are two in the box) they are great – do exactly as they are supposed to and it also means I can put my sat nav in and out of use as I wish, with only the disc on the dashboard remaining, which is unobtrusive and also avoids my other pet hate – all the rings on the windscreen – as other people have commented – in some states/continents it is illegal to have anything attached to your screen – these would make an ideal solution. Make sure you know where you want to place the disc exactly before applying! I also thought they were excellent value.

Golden Review Award: 96 From Our UsersFirstly after reading some reviews I opted to pay a little more than the min price and ordered direct from Amazon hoping I would get the original product. Thankfully the item arrived in an original fully sealed TomTom Pack (sealed hard plastic casing) showing compatability with GO, XL, One XL, One and Start.

With regard to using the item take care with the position. On my first attempt I mounted the disc on an area of the dash which was not completely flat and had a pattern. The disc appear to stick OK but once the TomTom was mounted the problems started. After about 10 mins the Easyport became unstuck and continued to do this every 10 – 20 minutes irrespective of whether the ‘sucker’ was dry, clean, wet etc. After the 4th attempt the dash disc then also started to show signs of movement.

I therefore removed the disc (The glue can be cleaned off with warm soapy water although this does take some time and I would bet on some surfaces leave a mark. I would also guess that the disc cannot be successfully re-used without some more glue). The second disc was then positioned on a relatively flat and smooth part of the dash (which was cleaned prior to application) and the result was perfect. The Easyport sticks until removed and thankfully the disc has also showed no signed of movement.

I am therefore happy to give this item 5* as, as long as you mount on a clean, flat and smooth part of your dash it should work realy well.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersThe sucker mount supplied with the Goes x20 and x30 and Ones is not as good as the x10 model with its clever cam and have a tendency to fall off the windscreen/side window and also from this mount unless firmly licked and pressed down. This is no better or worse with these disks, but they make for a much better positioning in my car at a lower cost. Ideally TomTom would make a simple complete mount that sticks onto the dashboard so that we are not dependent on the sucker – but maybe that would attract the thieves too much
