As a female with small hands, this is quite a heavy and large piece of equipment. Requires a lot of grip and strength to use, but does the job. Lots of heat settings but because these are on a turning disc, it tends to turn when your doing your hair, gets in the way. But good product besides that.

I gave up styling my thin hair long time ago and bought this little thing as an attempt to give my hair some character for a big night out. And, to my disbelief, my hair looked great! I don’t do reviews, but thought you should that it’s definitely worth buying!

I love this .. I have a few types of curlers that just take ages to go through your whole head of hair, this wand is actually really easy to use and creates beautiful beach waves. You can do large sections at a time so a really quick way to get those curls

Super easy to use and you wont burn yourself if you use it as meant as in don’t put your hands around the heated plates which to me is obvious, and there really is no need to anyway. Has adjustable heat setting and is great and making waves, bargain price and i think its grea

Creates a wave akin to the waves a plait or braid creates – not too intense or ‘crimpy’, but a definite, lovely wave.
Easy to use. Would only say that the temp dial easily gets adjusted by accident as you’re holding / using the waver, but hey, for this price point you can’t complain!

One of the easiest hair curling tools I’ve used. I have quite fine long hair and I can curl it in around 10-15 mins and it lasts two days.
Only reason it isn’t a 5 * is as others have commented on it’s quite heavy and it’s really easy to burn yourself!! Burnt forehead first time of using! Ouch! I love it though! Great value for the price.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersReally happy with my purchase and looked amazing when I don’t my daughters hair. She has a lot of hair, it’s heavy and doesn’t normally hold a curl but the wave lasted. Easy to use. I have a very short bob and works nicely on my hair too. I would recommend using them both ways (normal and upside down) to give a less uniformed look especially on shorter hair and avoid going too close to the root and it will give a weird kink (I done this on daughters) and had to correct with straighteners. Overall amazing value and work well

5.0 out of 5 stars Impressed!!!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersLoved this product I got so many compliments on my hair on the hen do. Its quick and easy to use. I think it would look better if I had longer hair, but this is not the product fault.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quick and easy

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersThis creates lovely waves, even on my short hair, but boy does it get hot!
It’s virtually impossible to use this without burning your hands/fingers/face! I’m really surprised that this product is even available from a safety perspective; there is no external casing on the heating plates at all.

Anyone who’s used to using a straightener will automatically place their hands around the heating end to place more pressure on the plates, as I have!

If you buy this, beware of burns!

Golden Review Award: 428 From Our UsersI ordered this product as I wanted to have beachy waves without having to curl my hair around a wand or curler. I hoped the waver would be easy peasy….First things first, this is like a giant hair crimper which leaves sort of zig zag waves in your hair.

The first attempt to do my hair with this left me looking like Rumplestiltskin in his angry wig- my hair was massive and not beachy at all, (unless you consider landing on a beach after a parachute jump, beachy).

The second attempt was much better- I curled (or more, crimped) from the ends up towards the root so I didnt overlift the roots and that gave me a better effect- although still quite ‘Tina Turner in the 80s’ big.

Third attempt and I’ve gotten the hang of it- i have mermaid crimp waves now. This time I alternated the angle I crimped my hair at and did a combination of uniform waves and random crimps at different angles. That seems to help.

Here is my personal list of Pros and cons.

    Pros: Gets hot
Doesn’t take long to do (much quicker than curling)
    Result lasts ages
Free arm workout because its quite heavy
Temperature controlled so you dont frazzle your hair
Swivvel cord makes it easier to hold/angle
Looks like it will last as seems to be good quality.
    On/off switch

Cons: Gets freakishly hot on both sides of the press so you can get easily burnt
    It quite heavy
Clamping it shut takes quite some effort- I got hand cramp
Temperature control dial is super sensitive and in a daft place on the handle
Can make you look like Rumplestiltskin
Tricky to get the hang of

Overall I am quite happy with this product. Its relatively cheap and once you get the hang of it, its quite easy to use, albeit heavy and difficult to hold closed. I have long(ish) hair so I dont need to wave my hair too close to my head/face so less chance of me burning myself.

I think the important thing is to not try it for the first time right before a first date or a big night out, otherwise you may be disappointed.

    Overall, a good product.
