The No. 1 Music Board Game For Families
HOW TO PLAY TOP OF THE POPS
Top of the Pops is a musical party game that’s easy to learn and quick to play. You don’t need musical talent to play, it’s fun to hear your friends pulverizing your favourite songs on the kazoo!
HEAD TO HEAD BUZZER BATTLES
In Top of the Pops you start by shouting out songs in the head-to-head buzzer round – for example songs containing the word ‘tonight’. The winner of the round is the last person standing…

Choose wisely
ARTIST ROUND
In round 2, the player who won the buzzer battle takes 9 artist cards, keeps 3 and passes the rest to their opponent for them to also pick 3 and discard the rest. If your team guesses the artist cards and the buzzer hasn’t sounded yet you can try to steal some of the artist cards from the other team.

Music will never be the same
TOOT THAT KAZOO
Do you know your Nirvana from your David Bowie? Your 50 Cent from your Blink 182? In Top of The Pops you can prove it by singing, miming and kazooing your best impressions.

Would appeal to adults in their 40’s/50’s and we have had a few laughs with this when paired with a few glasses of wine with friends and family. Quite 80’s and 90’s aimed I’d say but great fun.
Great fun, particularly after a couple of sherries! Played this with a group of friends and haven’t laughed so hard in a long time, mainly at people’s poor attempts at kazoo-ing recognisable renditions of songs. Yes, the kazoos themselves could be a little better quality, but in a way this actually made it more fun. Aside from that, the game and the other bits (the cards, board, buzzer etc) are really nicely designed. We had great fun and I’ll be buying a couple more of these, a great gift idea.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good family fu
Good family fun for people old enough to know the songs
4.0 out of 5 stars Great game
Bought for christmas last year the whole family had fun and could join i
Difficult to understand
We played this at Christmas. It was so difficult to understand, we played a couple of games but no one liked it, apart from me and my brother who are competitive, but need a group of people to play!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great game
Bought as a present for sister in law and played it over Christmas. Really enjoyed the different rounds and was a fun one to play with family.
Hilariously Fun!!!
This game is so fun!! Played this with family and with friends and it is a laugh! It is very broad in the categories and the music genre so anyone can play it really! I also gifted 4 of these games as gifts for Christmas and heard nothing but good things!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great fun game
Great to play with all the family! Great rice and quality product.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fun!
Bought as a Christmas present, they loved it! Great way to pass time and have fu
Surprisingly really fu
Simple to play, we even added a few rules of our own as we got super competitive. We got the game just for a bit of variety for our game nights with family and friends and as it wasn’t expensive didn’t expect much from it but it turned out to be a great game and we all ended up replaying all night it’s was great fun. Highly recommended.
4.0 out of 5 stars Fun game
Got this for Christmas. Fun game but you must have a good knowledge of music through the decades.
4.0 out of 5 stars Have great knowledge of music
Good fun game, we had lots of laughs especially using the kazoo
Good fun for a pop quiz
We decided to play by just humming in the rounds which were supposed to use the Kazoo due to cleanliness reasons, but this game is very enjoyable and all ages can play
5.0 out of 5 stars Fun game
Great for music lovers, lots of fun. Need batteries for the buzzer.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good value
Nice game family really enjoyed this game had a good time & laugh
5.0 out of 5 stars Great game!
Plenty of laughs with this game, we stopped using the kazoos and just hum the tunes instead. Far more entertaining
Fun game for all ages as the music categories range from the 60s to the current day.
Good amount of cards and the added fun of the Kazoo makes it a really funny game night.
Fun Game - Suitable for all generations
Big Potato board games are always fun and Top of the Pops follows the same basic premise as the Blockbusters game. This has artists and songs from the 60’s to the present day so there is something for all generations, so if you don’t know the artist hopefully someone else on your team does.
Also the game has Kazoos and who doesn’t love a kazoo! This is going to liven up game nights with friends and Christmas Party Games with the family.
Only downside id say is that 30 seconds seems a bit quick to do all three artists, but i guess that is part of the challenge.
Would recommend
Played this with my family on a long lockdown break to Wales in which we obviously spent a lot of time indoors! It was really fun and engrossing, especially the head to heads. Found it super easy to navigate the rules with my parents and as a complete music dork it was absolutely perfect for me! I would arguably never want to hear another kazoo rendition of anything for a long while after this.
Overall an awesome buy!
Aside from the nostalgia inherent with a TotP product, the game itself was well received by the 14 year old i gifted it to. Her Friends and parents alike joined in and time flew by.
The kazoos are a bit OTT but other than that the game is sort of like ‘Articulate’ for pop music. You pick cards that are by decade and also by one-hit wonder and all-time greatest. Questions are straightforward but challenging (e.g. songs with “love” in the name) due to the time pressure.
A fun time to be had by all.
Great game for all ages and party sizes!
I love Big Potato Games and this one certainly kept up the good reputation! It’s great fun and can be played with a big age range due to including songs from a number of different decades and genres. My friends and family have loved playing, and we have played in smaller groups of 4 up to bigger groups of about 12, and I’m sure it would get even more crazy with more people added! The kazoo round has everyone laughing and the buzzer adds to the excitement and competetive edge. Really recommend for hours of musical entertainment!
Great game. Love the head to head questions especially which can almost be played as a little side game. Cards are well thought out and well made. Buzzer works well instead of having an egg timer or something – keeps things tense. Only thing is that the ‘pop stars of the future’ category is a little out of date already. The rest of the categories are great.
Also, the Big Potato Games mini game that came in the box was a great little addition!
I’m a big fan of Big Potato games so was keen to give this one a try. This game is great for music fans and has a wide range of genres and artists. The music and artists span across the decades, so it’s a great game for playing with different generations of your family too. The rules also suggest how to play differently if you’re not too familiar with a certain decade. The range of different ways to score points is also interesting in each round. The addition of the kazoo is also great fun, but they’re not the easiest kazoos to play (hence the four stars as they are marketed as a key aspect of the game). That said, those who struggled just hummed and it was still just as fun.
Gameplay is a good length and it’s a great party game. There’s a great amount of cards included so you won’t find yourself repeating yourself.
Overall I think I’ll be getting a lot of use out of this game.
