Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe shower drain became blocked and I tried all sorts of preparatory drain cleaners – None worked . I then did some research and decided to try
a drain snake before calling out a plumber . I chose one with a 7.2metre length as the shower drain went under the whole of the bathroom floor The instructions were clear and I did not find having to tighteen and untighten the lock screw a problem . The gloves are no good really as the are not waterproof on the back so I used Rubber Gloves . YOU HAVE TO BE PATIENT and gentle otherwise you run the risk of getting it jammed.
I couldn’t believe the gunk that came out . After I had used it in the bathroom I still felt some resistance so I got the ladders out , shimmied up and removed the outer pipe I then fed the drain snak up from the outside – more gunk . Then I reconnected it and flushed the shower with hot water . RESULT – a free flowing shower .
Before rewinding the drain snake I carefully dried it and sprayed it with oil . It is in reserve should I need it . Higly delighted and a great sense of satisfaction at being able to do it myself at much less cost than a plumber . WIN WIN .

This drain unblocking tool is easy to use and good to store as it coils up inside a protective case. I used it to ensure that a long near-horizontal, 50mm pipe run from my kitchen sink to the outside of my house was as clear as possible to maximise the sink emptying speed. As the builder had the foresight to put a rodding port on the outside section of the drain my task was very easy and 2 x 90 degrees were easily negotiated in the 7 metre run. I followed the supplied instructions. As my sink had bottle traps rather than u or p traps I would not have been able to go the other way.

The blockage of our bathroom sink had withstood all manner of chemical potions and was driving me round the bend. Bought this as a last gasp effort before seeking a professional. Put the length of the snake down the drain, rotating the drum anytime I met resistance. And voila! The sink, which was taking 10 to 15 minutes to drain, cleared in just a few seconds and has been running perfectly for days now. Would definitely recommend having one of these for stubborn blockages.

Got down a complicated arrangement of pipes underneath the kitchen sink and dislodged a small blockage and proved there was a clear path to the down pipe. Wire winds back into the drum which is a neat solution for storage.

it’s definitely a tool to have at home handy. It will do the job for a quick fix. If it was a major blocking then you might still need a professional to come and fix

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI was reluctant to buy a snake drain because of a past purchase where the snake was really hard and couldn’t bend inside the pipe.

This time the snake went in easily and managed to pick the clogged hair and soap residue. I used for my aid fresh boiling water from the kettle straight to the drain to soften the clog and let the snake grab the dirt. This did the trick.

If the snake for some reason stuck pull a bit rotate and push back in. Then when you get through the mesh pull out, clear the snake, and push back in. Repeat as necessary. The winding mechanism does excellent job. The supplied bag stores all the goodies arrived with the package for later use.

The bath is now back to perfect condition as it was when it was new. I will keep doing this exercise every 3 months or so to keep my drains at home clear of residues and mess.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI was very sceptical about buying this, especially after a few recent bad review, but it got the point that my bath was filling up so much when showering I was better of having a bath

It was fairly easy to use once you I got the hang of it, it got stuck a few times and the instructions don’t give great help on how to unstick it, but I found that either pushing it or pulling it while cranking it loosened it enough to come out! And once it did come out, the amount of hair and gunk that it pulled with it I’m not surprised it was difficult and got stuck!

I would add pictures but it was very grim, but when I say it pulled a lot out I mean like a years worth of hair and my partners razed cover

All I all I’d recommend this, but be patient and careful when using it!

*it took several attempts to fully clear the blockage*

I bought this product to help clear a slow draining bath. The items arrived in a box but the actual auger device looked to be 2nd hand as it was very dusty and looked as if it had been opened up (possibly for refurbishment) as the casing didnt quite snap/fit together.

For the job i didnt actually need it but it will come in handy if i ever have to unblock drains or any other big job.

I managed to fix the slow drainage problem using one of the two orange hair strips. Only took a few goes and the blockage was cleared very easily. Bath is draining much much better now.

Overall happy with the product. Hopefully i wont get a chance to used the auger tool but it’s a good thing to have just incase.

Product arrived promptly (Prime) but the box was not sealed. The main body of the tool was dirty and scratched. For something which was new it did look as though it had been used before and did have an odour to it.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThis is actually three tools in one which is great! The auger is very sturdy and extends very long (see picture). It fits down my plug hole easily and rotates to pull up hair and other gunk. It is probably longer than I will ever need but looks like it will do a professional job. The grabber is very strong and easy to use. It also slides down the plug hole easily and has a strong grip. Really great product for the price and does what I needed it to.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does the job brilliantly
