The TRACER Deep Hole Construction Pencil has the ability to fully extend and retract its leads allowing the pencil to mark depths of 145mm when fully extended.
This has the added bonus of allowing the pencil to mark in holes too narrow for the metal shafts of the pencil.

Well he was right, i love it, some will not like the thick lead bit, I use the very small sharpener on side to give it a point. Tracer produce a great quality pencil. If your a trades person, in my opinion its a must have. Far better than getting a Stanley knife out all the time to sharpen pencils, only to find out the lead is broken. Not the cheapest, but far Bette quality than the cheap versions you can buy.Highly recommended recommended

Yet another my alcohol influenced spontaneous purchase. Ordered it for now project in question, which probably will never happen. Anyways, looks like good item to have in one my toolboxes, can remember numerous situations where it could have made my work much easier. Recommending.

Can’t believe I’m reviewing what essentially is a pencil, but wow what a tool it is. Surprising how much of a difference it makes when working, brilliant product – really well thought out.
Expensive for a pencil , but well worth it if you are a tradesman, easily marks deep holes and the little holster that I thought I would not use , is in fact indispensable as it clips into my pocket and I always know where my pencil is now I’ve got used to using it.
First time I’ve used this style of pencil as I’m old school with pencil behind my ear!! Have to say it makes life a lot easier, no more dropping/losing it . At height you have it all there with holder/sharpener to hand. Would definitely recommend.
Only downside is the sharpener doesn’t take the lead to a sharp point for accuracy!! Hence 4 stars
In the package you get replacement leads and some yellow crayon leads.
I have used it and it did the job well.
You can only load one ‘lead’s a time do you end up carrying the pencil, which is not small and the lead causing case with you.
It works, just a bit bulky
I have used carpenters pencils and sharpies for years and have seen other people using pencils like this on-site and have seen them at the wholesalers but scoffed at them. I thought they were an expensive gimmick until I saw the price reduced on this one and so took the plunge. What can I say but; I was wrong! This is the best pencil I have ever used and well worth the money. Granted, I have only been using it for a few days but it is fantastic. Goes into places normal pencils won’t and marks on anything! And it comes with replacement leads on top of all that. Bargain! My advice would be to get one and get one today.
These are absolutely fantastic!! I work in the construction industry and my pencil gets used every day on various materials I probably used 1 to 2 packs of lead every year and the deep hole marking capability Is great, it will do smaller holes you just have to push the lead further out. The only downside I have experienced is after a couple of years the pencil gets a bit slack in its holster which caused me to loose it while getting in and out of my vehicle but the return vs investment and the amount of use it gets is a no brainier every trade should have one of these in their tool tote.
