This is a lovely portable and comfortable camping chair – I use it to take to sporting events where you have to stand (or in my case now – sit) and watch for hours.
Well made, well presented, great packaging, great quality and value – highly recommended by us.

Took this on a motorcycle camping trip. Compact and easy to carry on the bike. Easy to erect and importantly, comfy. So much better than sitting on grass or a little stool. Brilliant.

Pro’s small package to transport, easy to assemble, reasonably comfortable, light weight for outside transportable chair. Strong and supportive.
Con’s size up to large person frame for comfort. Low height for seating ideal for a child but still good for an adult.
Not as stable and as comfortable as a good camping chair, but very portable.

Having the foot mat stops the feet from spreading and gives a little more strength.

I’ve often thought about getting something to sit on for places like the beach. So I bought this little chair and headed for the sun, and what a delight it turned out to be. Took approximately a minute to assemble. It was comfortable, sturdy with no wobbling. It comes in its own bag, and is small enough to go into my rucksack along with my lunch so it can all be carried around quite comfortably. Great price too. Very happy with it.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAlways fancied one of these chairs due to packing size. I did a lot of researching on them and I just can’t justify some of the high prices I have seen. I ordered this one and a KAMUI which was 5 more, the KAMUI had the stoppers on the feet but the Trail Hawk included the mat too which saves the extra expense of buying separately. When I placed both side by side and sat in them the KAMUI was lighter in weight but It wobbled side to side so it didn’t fill me with confidence that it would last but when I sat in the Trail Hawk it was a lot more stable and felt better built so the KAMUI was returned and I’m about to order another Trail Hawk as a spare as it’s such good value.

Super sturdy steel frame, very comfortable sitting position and the inclusion of a ground mat is the cherry on top. I have bought many camping/fishing chairs in the past, this is the best and lightest by far and also one of the cheapest . Absolute bargain!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI primarily chose this as it mentioned steel legs and I wanted something nice and robust that would last a few years. When it turned up I tested it straight away and I can assure you this is a very well built piece of kit. Feels super sturdy and doesn’t use cheap aluminium poles like some. I haven’t used it camping yet but have spent a good 6 hours or so sat in front of the TV playing PS5 in this thing and found it really comfy. I’m 6ft4 and have no problems using it. Folds very neatly away in to a good quality bag too.

Very happy considering it was one of the cheaper ones on Amazon.

It’s perfect for camping, hiking etc. It’s stable and very easy and fast to setup. It comes in a zip bag which can be used for storing it.

I will add it is a bit low to the ground but when camping this isn’t an issue, it also looks great too.

This chair is great for camping, picnics, festivals, fishing – anything outdoors, really! It folds up really small and comes with a smart carry case to store it in. It’s not hard to fit into the carry case and not hard to put together (one person can easily manage in about 5 minutes).

My only small criticism is that it’s very low to the ground and a little bit narrow to sit in so sitting for long periods can get a little uncomfortable and if you need to keep getting up, it’s a bit of a pain. But as far as light, portable outdoor seating goes, this is hard to bea

Great chair, It’s incredibly lightweight and portable, making it perfect for camping trips and other outdoor excursions. It’s also surprisingly comfortable and surprisingly strong, with a weight capacity of up to 300 lbs. The included ground mat and bag are real bonuses, as they make it easier to transport the chair and keep it from getting dirty.

The setup is also a breeze and takes only a few minutes. All in all, this chair is a great buy for anyone looking for a lightweight and portable camping chair. It’s comfortable, convenient and surprisingly durable. Highly recommended!

I really like this Trail Hawk compact foldable camping chair it has been great so far. The quality is good, it feels strong and sturdy and it’s easy to use which is the main thing for me. What really like is that it’s so portable and lightweight, once bagged it stores nicely in the back of my car. I will definitely be using this much more throughout the summer.

My wife and I are going away soon for a cabin holiday with our son and his wife, as the cabin is located in a dense wooded area we wanted to have some nice long walks while we are there, weather permitting, lol. As we are both disabled we usually can’t walk very far before we get fatigued and the pain starts to set in, so I ordered this chair in the hopes that it would be easy to carry and to just put up when we need to have a break from the walk. Unfortunately on testing this wouldn’t be of help in our circumstances.
On opening, this chair isn’t a pop up type, it requires the frame to be assembled into the mesh covering for use and once it was put together the chair is very low to the floor, so low that there would be no way that my wife and I would be able to stand up again without help.
That said we ended up letting our daughter have this for her eldest son who is getting on for six years of age, he had a sit in the chair and loved it so they will be using this when they go on picnics in the summer.
The chair itself when built is really quite sturdy, the frame is very thin and looking at it I didn’t think that it would hold much weight but with some help I tested it and to my surprise I didn’t fall straight through it, lol. I am ninety kilos and had no issues at all with being nicely supported by the chair and the frame stood up well with no bending or stressing at the joints.
For using this when out and about, it has a good set of ground spikes built into the base of each leg which will work well on grassy areas but also holds steadily on a hard surface. When my grandson tried it, he did at one point lean backwards a little to far and the chair did topple over backwards so if this is used by young children they will need to be a little careful about their sitting positions.
This said, for an adult who is in good health this chair will be an ideal solution for taking on hikes, it is strong and very light, it also packs away into a small package so is no problem for putting into a backpack.
It’s just a shame that it is to low to the ground for us to use but I’m sure that my grandsons will make the most of it.
    Strong, light and easily assembled.

I like how this chair fits into a small carry pouch yet can hold 19 stone in weight , ideal for camping , fishing, days out, picnics and other outdoors activities.

The chair is very easy to set up , it takes a couple of minutes to connect the tubular frame together , it then forms a lightweight but strong structure, you place the chaur cover over the tubes of the frame and you have a seat for sitting around the campfire.

I’m over 18 stone and I holds my weight very well , it’s a tad low Down but once in the chair it’s a lot better than sitting on the hard ground , probably better and more comfortable for shorter people but it’s a good portable chair for camping and outdoors activities.

It comes in a good quality carry case , ground mat to stop the chair sinking in soft ground , it’s not super lightweight but it’s even small enough to fit inside my backpack.

A good design that’s easy to set up and is nice and portable and compact.

A good part of our camping equipment, very handy indeed

The Hawk Lightweight Folding Chair appears to be a well-designed and versatile camping chair that offers a number of features to enhance comfort and convenience for outdoor enthusiasts.

One of the standout features of this chair is its lightweight and compact design, which makes it easy to carry around when traveling, hiking, or camping. When packed away, it measures just 38cm x 14cm x 12cm and weighs only 1.65kg, making it an ideal option for those looking to save space and weight when on the move.

The chair’s extra-wide feet and nylon mesh ground mat are also noteworthy, as they provide superior stability and prevent it from sinking into softer, wetter ground or sand. Additionally, the mat can be easily secured to the chair using its retaining strap, and the chair has reinforced loops and corner pockets for added stability and security.

Setting up the chair is fast and easy, thanks to the shock-corded frame and leg poles with pre-attached connectors, which allow you to assemble the chair in seconds. When fully assembled, it measures (H)64cm x (W)54cm x (L)56cm and can support a maximum load of 120kg, which is just circa 19 stone.

The chair’s frame and legs are made from steel, which provides strength and durability, and are powder-coated for rust resistance. The attachable “600D” PVC coated (basically means it is strong and waterproof) polyester seat has a solid back for ultimate comfort, lumbar support, and warmth in cooler weather, and mesh side panels to keep you cool in warmer weather.

Finally, the chair comes with a zipped storage bag that doubles up as a security pocket. This allows you to store your phone, money, and other valuables safely by your side while you relax in comfort. And, when the chair and mat get dirty, you can simply wipe or rinse them under running water.

Overall, the Hawk Lightweight Folding Chair appears to be a well-designed and practical camping chair that offers a range of features to enhance comfort, convenience, and stability in the great outdoors.

This camping chair comes in a small bag – much bigger but in the shape of a large boot bag. Weighing just 1.65kg it is quite light even though it has legs made of steel. It took absolutely no time to put together with its connected telescopic legs. The bag is large enough to easily put the chair away after use.

The seat cover was a bit stiff to put on for the first time but I am sure it will ease up. What is important is to make sure to follow the instructions and to do it in the right order otherwise it won’t work, speaking from experience. The wide-feet make it sturdy and the legs which are made of steel (rust resistant) are very strong, able to hold up to 120kg. The seat cover also looks very strong. Moreover it is really comfy. The seating position is slightly too angled for me and will be a struggle to get out of at times.

I like the idea of the ground mat for the beach to prevent sinking in the sand. I can see myself taking this camping chair in my rucksack when going out on my bike, although my better half has already made a claim on it and being that much lighter than me, would be more suited to it.

At 22.49 after a whopping 25% off voucher applied, this is a good price for something that is not just for camping but small enough to fit in a rucksack or bag for beach outings.

This is an excellent camp chair that’s been manufactured to a very high standard making it stable, sturdy, strong and looking at it will last years of use. We tested it on our first camp of the year. We have similar chairs which are from a very expensive German camping brand which we cannot fault. But they’re pricey and when I compare this one from Trail I’m very impressed with these. The build quality is a really high standard.
My six year old son was the main user but for me, a six foot fifteen stone bloke, I happily sat in it comfortably. I feel sturdy and safe in it and it’s comfortable.
The frame is strong and clips in securely. The fabric parts are tough and durable.
The carry case is small but the contents easily fit in and its great storage when not in use.
I’m very glad I got this and it will be coming on all of our future camps. On average we camp seven times a year.
I’ll also be taking this to the beach. We live in Cornwall and spend a lot of time at the beach. This will be perfect when the weather improves.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy, strong, durable and well manufactured. Comfortable too.

This is a very handy foldable beach, camping, fishing or festival chair, it folds up quite small which makes it easy to carry. It is very simple to assemble and fold away (well once you have done it and know what your doing) it is actually very comfortable to sit in. Happy to recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to assemble

  25. FedericoMortloc says:

I had incorrectly assumed that this was just a foldout job, but assembly is required each time – it takes a little while to work out how to do it but once you’ve got the procedure it isn’t too much of a drama but still takes a couple of minutes.

It’s not all that big, so your rear end is a little closer to the floor than I imagined it would be, which makes it a bit more of an effort to get out of it.

It is however very sturdy and strong and supports your weight easily.

I think overall I prefer those kind of camping chairs which are larger and just fold out ready for use. The main thing this has going for it is its sheer compactness in storage which may be a deciding factor for some people.

This Trail Hawk Camping Chair comes neatly packed in a carry bag with a grab handle, and attachment loops plus there’s a user guide is included. I did think the package felt quite weighty at around 1.65Kg — you’d have to think carefully about adding this to a trekking payload although it would be fine for an outdoor chair to take in the car or on a picnic.

The chair is easier than the guide suggests to deploy and in a minute or so you have a well proportioned and very comfy chair complete with ground mat which adds to the structural integrity. Apart form being comfortable, the chair feels safe and stable being hard to tip up and the feet discs make it less likely to sink into soft ground. I am 77Kg but think someone heavier would still find the chair comfortable. The fabric feels strong and spongeable and the chair is as easy to dismantle and get back into its case. This is a product that feels as though it will last.

Overall a good transportable chair and I’ll probably buy another for my partner for use on picnics.

Quite a nice chair which comes with carrier bag and a small mat which I dont really think much of. When putting it up my husband laughed and said it almost puts itself up. It certainly was put up quickly. it is veery light and I worried about how sturdy it would be but it seems good. There are spikes on the bottom to hold steady if on grass. It folds up into the zipped bag. We have not really used it much but erected it in the garden and had a short seat in it which was quite comfy but it was too cold for lengthy testing outside. Longing for summe

  28. LaurieNunley says:

It really is lightweight and quite sturdy, and fits inside my 40L sized hiking backpack with plenty of space to spare. The legs snapped into place effortlessly, which was brilliant!

The seat was a bit harder to manage, as it’s really taut on the sides (see attached photo), so I had to use more force than I expected to wrangle it onto the frame. The elastic bands that made the legs so easy to assemble also make the chair a bit annoying to pack away in my experience.

Excellent strong, yet lightweight beach/camping chair. Comes in a small carry case not much bigger than a boot bag so very easy to carry and store. Assembly of the chair takes less than a minute, but the ground mat was a bit fiddly to get on. The chair is very comfortable, more so than the traditional bigger folding chairs and another nice feature is the discs around the legs to prevent the chair sinking into soft ground.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI really like this chair! It’s infinitely more comfortable than my current camping chairs (which will be relegated now!) and the quality of the construction feels really good too.

I was very perplexed when I saw the size of the box it arrived in – I couldn’t believe a chair would fold up as small as that, but it does and that makes it ideal for me to keep in my car along with my other essential outdoors equipment.

90 seconds is given as the construction time in the listing and yup, even I – the most cack-handed person I know – managed to put it together within that time and with no swearing.

I’m honestly so thoroughly pleased with this – I didn’t realise I could become so enthused by a chair!

The colour, the design and the little extras like the carry bag that can be used as under seat storage just feel really well done!

I already own a couple of folding camping chairs and this is a very similar design. The tubular frame segments are held together by an elastic core and just need slotting together to create the rigid frame. You then have to stretch the seat over the tube-ends and engage the (optional) mat across the feet.
The first time, it required a fair bit of force to get the seat fabric in place, but should prove a bit easier in future.
As for carrying capacity, I’m a big guy at 1m 91cm (6ft 3″) and 95kg and I felt safe enough using this chair.
Be aware that it is quite low to the ground and you sit in a semi-reclined position. If you’re getting to the age where you’re not as mobile as in your youth, you may find getting in and out of the chair a bit of a struggle.
The next occupant was a curious cat (not even our cat!) which seemed to take a shine it it!
There are cheaper folding camping chairs available, including some with a higher and more upright seating position.
If you don’t mind a very low chair though, this one is nice and lightweight and shouldn’t disappoint.
The way you can clip the carrying case between the front legs to use as storage is a nice touch.

So it’s nice and sturdy, and the build is good. So why Four stars?

Well, it’s made of steel, yet describes itself as lightweight. It weighs 50% more than similar aluminium chairs!

Isn’t that a bit harsh? Well consider that the whole point of chairs like this is for the to be portable. This one folds down as small as the others, but comparatively, it’s a bit of a chunka. .

While I’m moaning, I’ll also point out that it doesn’t have any loops on the corners to help one mount the poles.

However, it’s not all bad. It is sturdy, and perfectly comfortable. It also comes with a soft ground pad, which is an excellent idea and the first chair I’ve come across that has one. And the overall build is excellent.

So long as you’re not hoping to lug this up a mountain, it’s perfectly decent, and I really like the soft ground mat. I just wish they’d built it with Aluminium poles.
