I have glass that is a thin as 4 mm as well as double pane glass. Spend the extra $$ to get the most versatile option they have. I returned the 1st one I got because (until I got their enclosed glass thickness measurer) I didn’t realize by balcony glass was only 4 mm. It won’t take long for the squeegy corners that will have the cleaning cloth over top of them to cut through the cloth. This is due to the strength of the magnets required to keep the inside and outside pieces stuck to the windows. Once you get the hang of it, you can do a pretty good job of cleaning the glass. I was even able to clean windows that have the small screened window beside it that you can crank the window open only about 6″. I just removed the screen which allowed me to clamp both pieces on either side of the glass then clean the window. Took a bit of practice because I had to do it left handed but hey, I’m on the 5th floor and they get cleaned 1-2 times a year by the building management. I now have the option to clean as much as I want. Oh, and as far as water dripping down on anything below, NOT A DROP!! Now ‘that’ was impressive!
So i really do like this product, however it’s difficult to know how big your double glazing is, it worked for my sister’s windows but not mine. It also worked very well for the car.
It has adjustable suction which great.
70 seems very steep for me, unless it’s the only way that you can clean the outside window or you’re cleaning professionalally.
It comes with a safety loop for your finger, so you don’t have to worry about the outer piece falling on someone’s head, it does drop every now and then, but that is fine.
It comes with only 1 set of microfiber cloths, ideally you need at least 3 per clean, as they get too dirty, and the other windows won’t be cleaned as well.
Haven’t used it yet but thought the cloths are inadequate
The first one I bought was the starter one the black one because I thought that it would do my windows but with it was to weak. It only does up to 18mm window. My window are just standard. I found out after I bought the product. So I bought the next one up the blue one and it works brilliant. Definitely worth buying the blue heavier one.

We’re moving from a ground floor flat to a terraced house next week so we looked for a way to clean the upstairs windows from the outside.
We didn’t want to climb on a ladder and risk falling or use a heavy telescopic cleaner that is hard to control so we decided to go with this magnetic cleaner instead.
So far the tool looks very well built, we’ll report back once we move in and try it.
I had trouble to clean all the windows, and The Glider D-3 AFC do the magic, the real exterior and interior window cleaner really is amazing. I’m very happy with it!!!
I don’t think you need to hire anyone for the window cleaning service any more.
Simple and easy to use, just pray a cleaning solution on both sides of the window and move the Glider across the window in S-shaped motions.
Then insert a microfiber cloth on each side did an excellent job, and both sides of my window are now clean.
It’s a nice little thing to have in a house with big windows.
My windows are much cleaner than they were before.

I have double glazed windows, so I opted for the up 28mm.
When I first tried it, it felt as it’s not going to hold. But when I used the window spray it cleaned nicely.
Finally the microfiber cloth did an excellent job, and both sides of my window are now clean.

I was skeptical about window cleaners that are not “traditional” but the build quality of the Tyroler cleaner is supreme. The magnets are super strong (you need to be careful or you’ll lose a finger!) which makes the “suction” work on my double-glass windows.
It comes with two microfibre cloths to attach to the device post-usage for spotless results.
So far, im quite happy with it.
We have one window that hasn’t been cleaned in 10 years. It can’t be reached from the ground and opens outwards so the outside is literally impossible to clean. I’d reluctantly accepted that it would always be grim until I discovered this tool. I bought the adjustable version and it was the perfect magnetism strength out of the box. It’s quite physical work as the magnets are strong and you need to use plenty of cleaning fluid. By taking it slow and steady I was able to use it with ease.
It doesn’t leave a perfect finish and I wouldn’t use it for accessible areas, but it left my window so much cleaner than it was. I highly recommend it for cleaning truly unreachable windows.
Open the box look promising until I try it without the cloth on the window it just keeps dropping off maybe because the rubber isn’t straight as it has a slight off alinement so prevents it from gliding smoothly. But I have a way of straightening it out luckily. Must of got a defeated one. To late to send back now got it a while ago. Oops!
The first wiper I received had some issues with the dials to control the magnetic force. I contacted the seller and was quickly sent a replacement. I’ve had the chance to do all the windows now and they’re lovely and clean. Much better than my previous spiderman method. I’ve seen people showing the wiper just falling off the window. I think they missed 3 things.
1 – make sure you have the right thickness for the magnets. Mines doubled glazed and the D-3 is plenty strong enough.
2 – Spray a lot of cleaner on the window. It says it on the instructions and it makes a big difference. The wiper blades are fairly sticky so if you’re doing it on a flat window, the magnets are going to have a job dragging the opposing wiper.
3 – Do it slowly. As I mentioned previously, the blades are sticky and sometimes you’ll getting the cleaner liquid to parts of the window. 2 of mine require dragging the cleaning liquid to areas you just can’t get too. if you’re slow the opposing one will have a greater chance to catch up.
Para mojar los cristales, uso un pulverizador a presin con capacidad de 1,5 litros con boquilla regulable (los que suelen usarse en jardinera). Con agua y lavavajillas y una esponja con varilla, las usadas para limpiar el cristal de las peceras (para el exterior, si el vidrio estuviese muy sucio) llegas a todos los los rincones, desde el interior. El Glider hace el resto, dejando los cristales impecables y en tiempo record.
Respecto al vendedor, decir que una atencin al cliente exquisita. Yo compr el Glider azul y recib el negro con unas pegatinas azules. Inmediatamente le escrib y sin demora alguna me respondieron. Tal y como supona, las ruedas azule estaban agotadas, pero la potencia de los imanes era la correspondiente para los 28 mm de cristal.
I bought this mainly to clean the outside of my upstairs windows. I managed to clean all my windows, including a conservatory in a morning. It cleans and dries really well if you take your time. Its not perfect but so much better than without it! On re-using I just used one half, as only downstairs outside needed doing, and is the best I have used and took less than an hour. Both times I used watered down cif, which worked perfectly well.
A few tips, move across windows slowly otherwise it looses magnetism. Only clean one window at a time to get best results. PLEASE keep away from each other as very painful if you get your fingers stuck, as this happened to me!

I have some hard to reach windows in my home/university room, this cleaner is able to clean both of them safely
The magnets pull the two sides together and spraying cleaning product on both sides lets the cleaner glide over the windows and then clean them properly.
There is a bit of string attached to the outside section, so even if it does fall off, you will still have hold on it.
It is unfortunately a little too expensive for me to recommend unless there is nothing else you are able to do
I’m a bit scared of this to be honest. I’m convinced I’ll crush my thumbs or shatter my windows. My hubby has managed to get our problem windows cleaned with it though so I’ll just leave it to him. He hasn’t quite got the hang of using it properly (easily) yet and the windows are not perfect but maybe with a bit of practice we (he) will get better at it.
Although I’ve never been a window-cleaner, I used to have to clean windows regularly, and I learned fairly early on that if you don’t get it right, the window is often dirtier when you’ve finished than when you’ve started. Although a nice technical fix, this particular device doesn’t have enough flexibility to clean windows well. Nice idea, and it may work for you.
