I don’t know whether my various environments in which I use these are particularly damp…but I don’t get very long out of these. Probably 3-4 weeks, before having to replace. I am also a little annoyed about the fact that they seem to have stopped supplying the smaller version…which was perfect for a damp cupboard we have…I have subsequently purchased another make which – with some fine destruction work – has been made to fit into the smaller container!

Golden Review Award: 23 From Our UsersI found this easier to assemble and more study than the Aero 360 but unfortunately it looks like the Pearl is now obsolete and you can’t buy the refills which are smaller than the Aero tabs. The Unibond website only has the Aero 360 and their tabs mentioned.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThese work extremely well and quickly. After moving to a new flat I found we had a moisture problem – windows were always soaking wet and mould was appearing everywhere, especially in the bathroom. These have completely brought it under control. I change the tablets every 3-4 weeks by which point the tablet has melted away and the tub is full of water.
I wanted something that looked more attractive and would blend in better than the cheap throw-away boxes and these certainly do.

It’s a small compact item and looks much tidier than the larger model within this range. It can be a bit fiddly to change the absorber. As unit can easily be taken to a sink, it’s not too difficult to remove the water which is blue in the reservoir.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is a good bit of kit. I ordered a couple one for the bedroom and 1 for the bath room. This product has worked brilliantly and I am very happy with the performance. The pearl absorbers are about the size of a melon and white in colour so they do not stand out in rooms. Setup is easy and after you let the product do their thing.I would definately recommend this product to others.

Easy to assemble and the results are good so far. I’ve only had it a week and it’s gathered about 1cm of moisture in the living room where there is some rising damp. The damp smell seems to have almost gone. It’s quite top heavy so you have to be careful when handling it. If you drop it the lid could easily come off and the liquid spill everywhere. Also bought the larger version for another room, which is more effective (about 2cm of moisture in 1 week).

These humidity absorbers are a bit strange looking, but they work quite well.
We have an issue in out flat with damp, as we dry our washing inside and were staring to see areas of damp on the ceiling.
I bought 4 of these and spread them around the flat, and now we don’t wake up with wet windowsills from condensation on the windows.
They only last about 2-3 weeks though, and are quite expensive to replace.
We have recently bought a dehumidifier as well, and together they work great. Bring on the summer!

Bought this for use at my bathroom window as it’s often wet with condensation when the window is closed. I never paid attention to the size and it’s much bigger than I expected. I thought it would maybe be about half the size. It’s a bit bulky and not very aesthetically pleasing on the eye but it does work, which I guess is the point. I would recommend as long as your not expecting something that might blend in.

This doesn’t absorb moisture at anything like a dehumidifier would however it has certainly controlled the damp in the external wall corner of my front room.
The device is relatively small (about the size of a canteloupe melon) and the design makes it slightly more aesthetically pleasing than it would be.
Overall – keeps the moisture and damp controlled however for mass moisture extraction get a dehumidifier!

Very decent results but a nightmare to put the thing in as well as remove the liquid. Could do with a slight different design and a little more sturdy as it is quite easy to fail to turn the ball and then get some of the blue liquid splashed over the skin etc as well as on the floor (totally impossible to remove it seems)

Not the miracle cure for condensation that I was expecting after reading the glowing reviews. My window was still covered in condensation even after having the unit on the windowsill overnight. I dried the window with kitchen roll & opened the double glazing, leaving the unit in place. After an hour or so the window was completely dry & there is water in the container, so it’s obviously having some effect & is better than nothing. Have ordered more for other rooms, so we’ll see what happens there.

Originally bought for my wardrobe as the clothes getting smelly. I was worries it might be spilt when I get my clothes etc, hence I got the bigger-thinner one from uniBond (aero). I am using two of these at the moment: one near the windows where it always get frosty in the morning and one for the bathroom (which might seem a bit pointless, but is in needs of it). Bought the latter after I actually check whether it accumulates water properly. For the one in window-side, its been awhile after I bought it and just changed to the new one. as expected the one in bathroom accumulates water pretty quickly. It is a bit small for my studio, but would recommend i

I have had these up for 3 days now and have had no condensation what so ever on the windows balls are on. So far I have about 2 ml of liquid collected. I can’t comment on mould staying away as it’s too shorter time so 4 stars for now, but since there is no condensation I’d guess mould can’t grow. Very please so far and these are not gimmicky it seems. I have used 1 ball for normal size windows for bedrooms and 2 balls for large bay windows in a front room or large bedroom. Find it odd why these won’t work for some. Maybe they are just not placed in the right place (as close to window as possible and in middle or away from corners)

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought 3 of these after I read the 4 and 5 star reviews.
After 2 weeks of using them, I went and read the 1 and 2 star reviews and thought that I was leaning towards the lower stars.
They barely absorbed anything and there was still condensation on my windowsills.
They were sitting on Windowsills with Cheaper 1 ones from Tescos and neither seemed to be doing their jobs!

I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and wait another week or two…

Suddenly, I noticed that even though the weather has become colder, there was barely any condensation on the windowsills.
and I noticed that both this Device and the Cheap Tesco ones were filling up with water.
    The unibond one much faster.

So far, I’ve had them a month and it looks like it will last another 2-4 weeks (as described)

    Some Advice :
They definitely have to be next to the windowsill to work best – the one in my little boy’s room is on the top shelf about 5 feet away from the windows. They are absorbing moisture but there’s condensation on the windows.

Secondly, my 1 Tesco ones seem to be doing the job just as well but now I’ll never know since they are both absorbing moisture – or is it a case that I have to use both together which has resulted in dry windows?

Finally, I am guessing that it takes a while for these things to absorb enough moisture into them to actually start working.. (hope that makes sense) – both the Unibond and cheaper version didn’t seem to work for the first 2-3 weeks and now they are filling up really quickly.

I think I will definitely continue using them but they are rather pricey at 9.99 each! Hence the 4 stars

I got this for my kitchen as having bought a flat which suffered from damp (from the previous tenants not opening windows and poor ventilation) I was slightly paranoid about it recurring.

This provided great peace of mind and you can see its effectiveness in the water collecting at the bottom of the bowl. Stylish and moderate sized item – sits nicely on a window sill. I’ve only had it for a few weeks and only have 1 person living in the flat so it’s still got plenty of life left in it – I haven’t felt the need to empty it yet. I’ll update in a few months to see how it’s lasted.

It comes with one absorption tablet, for which you can buy replacements (not cheap but I’m waiting for an offer to buy more!) but for the price I consider it very good value.

I bought 2 of these – one to go in my bathroom as I tend to get a lot of mould and one to go in my bedroom as the windows are always covered in condensation all day …. well so far so good!!! No mould or wet windows!!! To be honest I didn’t expect them to work but I’m impressed so far ….. Would have given them 5 stars but they are quite big and ugly but who cares if they work!!
