This camera works perfectly. I was worried about the image and colour quality but these bad reviews are wrong! If you don’t mind the wires around the car or perhaps if you have the skills to put them behind the panels, this is your product. I can’t tell how long is going to last but so far 10/10.
I was surprised with the option to use as reverse camera with diagram but they are not correct because it will depend how far you camera is away from rear window. I didn’t buy for this reason but is a great extra feature!

Very affordable and useful
It has a 4.5” HD baby car monitor with a 150 wide view for clear visibility. The night vision function is particularly helpful for nighttime drives and the car mirror display makes it easy to observe my baby in the backseat.
Installation was quick and easy and it did not take more than a few minutes. The picture is crystal clear and the colors are vibrant. I can easily adjust the camera angle and the monitor can be easily attached to the car sun visor or dashboard. The camera also has an adjustable clip that can easily be attached to any car seat.
I feel so much more secure and safe having this camera in my car. It gives me peace of mind knowing that I can keep an eye on my baby while I’m driving. The audio quality is fine and I can clearly hear my baby when she’s in the back.
I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to keep an eye on their baby when they’re in the car.

This camera is a great alternative to the usual mirrors that people use which can sometimes be dangerous for children with the sun reflecting off them. This camera was very easy to install and was up and running in very little time. Would recommend to anyone looking for a similar item.

A handy device with good quality video
A handy device with good quality video. It is cheap, and the quality of the video is still good enough to match the price. It is very useful for either babies or pets.
It is easy to setup and use and need very little digital knowledge for the same. It is fairly wide angled and is enough for night vision too.
Good for the price
This is a great little camera for the price. The picture is OK quality and is what you’d expect for the price, your not gonna get full HD images at this price point, but it is fine for what you need. The set up is easy enough and the connection options are either via the cigarette lighter or can be hard wired, I have been using the cigarette lighter option which works well, it also has a second port on the adapter so you can still use the lighter socket, which is good.
Overall, for the price you can’t go wrong, the video quality is adequate and it’s easy to connect and set up.

Watch kids or pets in the back
Great set! I am using it watch my dog as she always makes funny faces in my rear view mirror while i drive and it makes me giggle so much but hubby cannot see, being in the passenger seat.
The picture quality is really good and it is simple to use. The manual is ok but brief, however, you get the idea. You can install it directly into the car electrics or, if like me you’re not very car tech savvy, you can plug into 12v charger on the dash.
This is great for keeping an eye on your little ones in the back, whether human or animal (or a bit of both). Love the teddy head cover you can pop over the camera to make it a focal point for the kids.

Reassuring
This is a really handy baby camera and display for your car. 4.5 inch screen. Set up was super simple being plug and play – cigarette lighter power supply and then all the devices just plug together. The camera straps onto the back of one of the head rests and has plenty of movement to position correctly. The screen quality is HD and the camera has night vision. We found the picture to be clear and crisp in the day and at night, its reassuring to be able to see your little ones even if its just a quick glimpse to make sure they are ok. The quality of everything seemed to be good, the cam was easy to set up and I thought the price was reasonable.
Fixed a problem
Had a lot of trouble seeing the baby seat in the rear due to the headrests being in the way, so installed this to solve the issue. It works great! Easy to connect up and both the screen and camera are powered by the same socket so no need to mess around with adaptors or wiring, unless you want to hardwire, in which case some kit is included to help with that. It also doesn’t lose your lighter socket entirely, as the plug has built in USB.
The picture is very clear and the angle is really wide so it’s hard to imagine a situation in which this would not let you see a child in the rear clearly. On top of this it also features IR LEDs so it works in situations where even having the mirror fixed on the rear seats would not do any good!
Overall, great product for the price.
Decent monito
Quality isn’t the best but fits the purpose.
Installation is quite easy, and not much of a work, just I would advise something extra to stick the monitor and the camera, as they don’t look reliable.
Picture quality is not the “highest” but it is definitely enough to monitor your baby without turning constantly around.
Overall, my opinion about this monitor is good, it is a decent product for a decent price (currently 39.99 with 12 voucher), which does the job and is worth considering if you are looking for something like this.
Such a brilliant idea for peace of mind
Amazing idea to be able to see kids in the car when they’re asleep and when it’s dark. So much better than using a mirror which always ends up slipping and that only one of the driver or passenger.
Quite a simple idea really but it’s so good and gives you such peace of mind for newborns especially.
Does the job well
This baby car camera does exactly what it’s supposed to, allows you to keep your eye on your little one from the front of the car. It’s much better than relying on a mirror as you can keep the camera in clear view whilst you’re driving. It’s easy to install by just attaching it to the back of a chair and adjusting the camera angle to where you need it. The picture quality is ok, not amazing but definitely good enough to keep an eye on the little one in the back.
Clear view and easy to use
I recently had the opportunity to try out the VASTEND Baby Car Camera 1080P and I must say I was impressed with the product. The 4.5” HD baby car mirror monitor with its 150 wide view was able to easily capture and display the baby’s movement during the entire journey.
The night vision function was also a great feature which allowed me to keep an eye on my baby even in low-light conditions. The display was clear, and the camera’s lens provided a crisp image which allowed me to easily observe my baby’s movements.
I found the VASTEND Baby Car Camera to be easy to install and it securely attached to the car’s headrest. The camera’s angle was also adjustable which allowed me to easily position it for optimal viewing.
Overall, I would highly recommend the VASTEND Baby Car Camera 1080P to any parent who wants to ensure their baby’s safety while travelling.
Great for peace of mind
The blurb really bigs this up – anti shake technology, etc. In reality it’s a good, decent camera system mounted on the dash with a few bits of velcro. But the picture quality is absolutely fine for what it is, and it certainly gives peace of mind when at a quick glance, you can see the children in their car seats without having to twist round.
It’s easy to set up and install, the camera angle is adjustable and while the picture isn’t 100% sharp, it’s perfectly fine. Great for longer journeys if driving on your own, just to keep an eye on things. Good value too, all round.

This is so much better than them mirrors you stick on the windscreen that you are constantly adjusting or trying to put yourself into a yoga pose to look at the stupid thing whilst driving.
Very easy to set up and the picture quality is excellent, even in the dark.
All i can say, its amazing what goes on in the back of your car when the kids think your not looking lol.
Highly recommended if you are driving the kids around.
Really useful camera
This baby/dog camera is a neat bit of technology that enables you to see at a glance your baby/child/pet whilst driving. I thought the picture quality was good considering it’s only 39.99. The night vision is good too because you wouldn’t be able to see into the rear seats in the dark without turning a light on. I also found it fantastic to see the entire rear seats because of its wide angle. For this price it would be difficult not to purchase it.

This is handy device that allows you to set up a baby monitor in your car.
Taking the price in consideration I think the image quality is okay.
The low light image is good too, which is a useful feature.
If I compare it to inexpensive nanny-cams that use my Wi-Fi network and an app, I am then using a 4 figure smart phone with a great screen to view the feed.
By that metric – at this price point, the performance of the camera and screen is good.
It’s not as good as the smart phone, but I didn’t expect that.
More importantly it is fit for use, you can get a good image of what is happening – providing you position the camera adequately.
Presentation is basic, but the device is well packed in a plain box. There is a simple if thin manual.
The camera is then attached by velcro straps that pass through loop holes in the camera-mount, and if you have used a mobile phone mounts, then the ball and screw threaded socket, albeit smaller, will be familiar – and it works.
The mount for the screen is a sucker disc. This will then stick better to a smooth clean of dust and grease surface, so the windscreen maybe?
It’s not the most impressive of this type, but the monitor is very light.
But in the real world an alternative maybe necessary depending on the local conditions of your install.
The camera and screen connect by compact cable, and a 12v round socket accepts a corresponding plug.
That can be from the “cigarette lighter” adaptor (that has a USB port in it) or a cable is provided to hard wire this to a live wire from the battery.
The 12v socket is a standard size, so you could use this indoors with a 12v adaptor.
Things are little woolly here and it’s not really possible to guess about every vehicle and every install, “cigarette lighter” sockets are in various places in various cars, some will then be more usefully sited than others.
That aspect of the good fit of this is going to be down your car and needs.
The bottom line is this is a good product for this price point.

This is a decent little camera and monitor screen. I originally ordered for viewing my dog in the car, but have decided I may be fitting it to replace the rear view camera in my van, which broke some time ago.
The included camera is good quality and comes with a cartoon character frame to put on it for babies. It looks professional without though and could be mounted on the back of a car seat to view out the back.
The camera can even have reverse markers on the screen, making reversing judgement easier. You can also wire into the reverse switch to make it only come on in reverse, presumably.
Image quality is good. You can also adjust the image within the simple to use settings.
The night vision really brings this camera to the next level. It automatically switches over and produces a really clear image, using infrared lighting. This doesn’t glare your baby’s eyes and is invisible. Likewise, it won’t bother dogs, if used for them.
The mount is easy to fix to your windscreen, but will also work on the dashboard as it’s one of those gel sticky types.
Finally, it’s worth mentioning that this has both a car 12v and hard wiring kit with it. You could, therefore, wire into the car electrics, keeping your 12v socket clear.
Overall, this is impressive for what it is, multi-functional and definitely recommended.
Better than the baby mirrors. Good for long journeys
Quite a nice little camera that’s a little easier to look at quickly to check on little one than the baby mirrors, as it’s closer and more detailed, and you can see in the dark too. Easy enough to set up. With a small car, the cables are long enough – if you’ve a large car you may find that more of a challenge. I don’t need this kind of thing on the short journeys, but really helpful on a long journey just for peace of mind and a more pleasant journey.

lets be honest if I was told 10 years ago that I could buy a monitoring system that has a camera with IR built in, a 4.5″ LCD screen plus cables for just 39.99 I would have thought you bonkers. But here we are and its not bad considering the price. When you look at this keeping in mind the price its amazing really but it has some niggles (you can ignore these though considering the price and its usage) the first is the colour rendition is not the best although perfectly usable as a baby monitor or reversing camera as the screen also has a reversing line overlay. The camera is connected using the 5 pin barrel connection often found in dash cams and the like. The supplied camera is mounted on a ball joint so has a wide range of movement allowing you to get the perfect angle, the manufacturer claims a “special mounting method and anti shake technology” the first is just a set of velcro straps to make a four way mounting system. not sure about the anti shake bit given the price it sounds a bit far fetched. The monitor mount could do with being better and you only get a simple suction cup mount that is unfortunately using a very poor (or cheap) sucker that has had a very thin layer of the “nano sticky material” but its not very sticky. The blurb claims two ways to mount the screen either the windscreen or dash. problem is the sucker doesn’t work on anything but smooth flat surfaces and the dash is not smooth and flat (hence why most car phone holders supply a plastic plate to stick it on) so your left with the windscreen. You also get two ways to wire it up either using the supplied cigarette lighter adapter (thoughtfully has a extra USB socket so you don’t loose a charging point) or hardwire with some piggyback clips to aid fitting (but no fuse holder sadly) so plenty of choice and with the hardwire lead and the fact its a 5V system you could easily set this to be powered from a phone charger and used in the house or anywhere really as you could even use a power bank. all pretty amazing for the price
