For the money and for those of us who can’t afford to go to the hairdressers and their exorbitant prices this is excellent with a few additional tweaks. Get difficult to cut the back however when you can’t see what you’re doing .
I am actually a licensed Barber, but bought this for home personal use. It pretty much does anything you would want including fading around the ears easily. Never easy to do that yourself…even for a barber.
These are really good second one I have had over the years and there just as good as the more expensive range. The only issue is that they do get warm/hot to touch when you have used them, but then I have extremely thick hair and it does take a while to get through my hair.
It is my second wahl clipper and I really like it. First one last me for about 5 years till stoped working. It true that vibrates a lot in your hand and is not super quiet but it does the job. The plastic cutting are bend in some places, but easily you can bend it back. I also like the precision blades, which lots of clippers don’t have, and they make a great job when trimming short hair.
So overall – it’s a great product for this price!

My partner is sound and touch sensetive so cutting his hair is a delicate situation, though this product is slightly loud it’s more of the vibration than anything, ultimately it got the job done. The only down side we did not like is how hot it gets, we needed to take a break midway for it to cool down as the hair clippers got so hot we could not hold it. Otherwise it’s a good produc
This item has been perfect straight out of the box as it should be. I’ve used it a number of times since I purchased the clippers and I am really pleased.
They are what they are, they’re probably not the best in the world, But they do what they’re supposed to do, and fo the price you can’t moan, I’ve bought 2 sets now, the first set I dropped and broke a piece of plastic that support the cutters, I would bye again no problem..
That said, I wouldn’t mind handing over an extra few of my hard earned imperial credits of our majesty’s realm, in exchange for some more robust feeling attachment doodads. The included ones are by no means bad and I expect they will last, but they do feel a bit flimsy compared to others I’ve owned before.
UPDATE – After approximately 2 and a half years, the clippers have given up the ghost. It’s not a bad run considering I’ve been using them weekly, and they cost 1.5x what I was paying a hairdresser to shave my head once a month. They definitely paid for themselves many times over.
Reading the other reviews gave me confidence, but reality surpassed those comments. I’ve always had a problem with cutting fine fair hair, even at the barbers… I’d always need to spend some time afterwards trimming all the missed bits. I’ve had 2 or 3 competing trimmers in the past, my last pair popping their clogs after roughly 12 months use. These Wahl trimmers were about the same price, but as other reviewers have said, they’re in a different league. You can definitely tell from the sound – the cutting action is very positive – you can tell it’s aggressively cutting where hair is pushed out of the way by other clippers. Proffessional cut: you bet. Never experienced such a fine, thorough & quick cut. Highly recommended.
One problem… my set came minus a No2 attachment… which is an issue for me as I use the lower number tools. Returning seemed a hassle, so I followed the links to chat directly with Amazon Customer Services. Matt sorted me out with a credit for the cost of the replacement part sold via amazon (2.99 including shipping) so I’m extremely chuffed with that service.
