This is a perfect game for children & adults.
Nostalgic for the grown ups & fun for the kids. We took to the park and have played it indoors. But will definitely take to beach on next trip as it weighs nothing & doesn’t take up much space. I’ve bought another as a gift. Great present.

Every bit as terrifying as I remember it being as a child. If you are not quick enough to return, your knuckles get clattered good and proper. So…..you end up with two people terrified to stop going at it for all their worth. Gives your shoulders some workout. We are convinced that this is really what they have behind the scenes at professional body building competitions. Had a real laugh with this on Xmas day.

This is quite a classic toy, which I can remember having something similar to many years ago. It is just a simple two player toy, which can provide a lot of fun as you use the handles to shoot the ball back and forth along the rope.

It actually gives you quite a good workout, as you need to move your arms so much, so it can get tiring and isn’t a game you’d play for a long time, but it is good to take out on day trips to the park or seaside and play with the family.

At time of review it is not too expensive either at just under 14.

This is a really simple game and good fun for kids and adults, it is also easy to take out with you to the beach/holiday and pretty well made for the price. I don’t think it’s something that would keep you busy for hours as it can get tiresome after a while but definitely a good product, I also think it is definitely for older kids as it can travel quite quickly and if fingers get in the way it can hurt so need to keep within the handles.

This is a good fun game to play with your child.

You receive a hard plastic rugby shaped ball which is threaded along two very strong and long pieces of plastic covered twine/string. Attached to the string are four ‘D’ shaped plastic handles … two on each end.

The idea is very simple … two people stand away from each other holding a handle on each hand. The twine should be taut between you. You then pull your arms apart with force and this propels the rugby ball towards the other player. When the ball hits or nears the other players hands they do exactly the same sending the ball speedily back to you and on you go until either one of you gives up or fails to send the ball all the way to their opponents end.

This is a very fast paced game and to be honest my six year granddaughter really struggled with this toy, she just wasn’t strong enough. I feel this game is more suited to the 8+ range of age and not the 6+.

One word of warning, if you let the string get all tangled up it is a bit of a nightmare to untangle … It literally took me hours, so be careful when you put it away and don’t throw it into a carrier bag like I did

This is great fun outdoor game for the summer although it can also be played indoors if you have the room.

This is good fun but you do have to be careful. You can make this go back and forth pretty fast by opening and closing your arms at the right time. You have to keep the lines pretty tight between the two of you and keep your fingers gripped around your handles. I have had a couple of instances where my lad has trapped his finger in between the ball and handle because he didn’t keep his fingers out of the way. So you do have to be careful how you use it as it could cause some harm to kids if they don’t use it correctly.
It seems pretty hard wearing although you do have to untangle it every now and then if you don’t put it away correctly. But it is good fun for a while on the beach etc but does get old pretty fast.

The “Zoom Ball” outdoor game from “Wahu” is a fun two-player game for you to play in you garden, or on the beach etc.

The concept of the game is simple. The object of the game is to have the plastic missile hit against your opponent hard-plastic handles. To do this you both open and close your arms to make the missile fly back and forth between the two of you.

The game literally takes seconds to learn how to play and do it. From then on it’s plenty of laugh-out-loud fun. And there’s nothing more satisfying than hearing the “smack” of the missile as it hits the handles of your opponent, announcing another win for you.

However, personally I think the best part about the zoom ball game is the workout you get from it. After just a few minutes of play, your triceps will start feeling tired. 10 — 20 mins and you’re aching like a son of a gun.

Honestly, it’s great fun and so much fun. My twelve-year-old kids love it. And I have to confess we have a great time challenging each other to a gameespecially when your arms start getting tired, and then you suddenly get that extra bout of energy to see their twelve-year-old arses off with. ZiiiiiipBoom! The Eagle has Landed!

Storage is a pain as the four chords invariably get tangled as hell the second you put it down. So expect the first five minutes each time you pick it up, to be spent untangling the blooming thing. Perhaps there’s a way of storing it without them getting all tangled in the process? God knows. Please comment on here if you have a solution!

Anyway, top game for the family. Love it!

This is a great toy for outdoor play. I wouldn’t recommend playing indoors. It’s lots of fun and can get pretty competitive! The toy itself seems sturdy enough and I’m sure if we take care of it should last us a while as long the ropes stay intact. Which could be the issue with the way you have to pull on them as they would probably be the first thing to go on this toy.

Overall it’s a fun game that we usually end up playing for ages! So lots of fun for the family.

The item seems quite strong and sturdy, easy to set up and play. We had played it for a few times and had lots of fun. Quite enjoyable.

it’s lightweight, great to play even as an adult, it can release your stress, so also ideal for popping in the boot on a trip to the park or the beach, can be Something for the whole family.

    Would recommend.

This is a simple fun toyno batteries.no screen to watch.just a fun upper arm exercise without noticing toy.
The idea is two people hold the handles either end.one opens there hands and sends the ball to the other person.and vice versa.ideally speed is essential so the faster you open your hands the faster the ball goes.
A fun game for all ages.I’ve not managed to use this yet as the little ones haven’t popped over.but as soon as they do ..they will be in garden playing this

    4.0 out of 5 stars A simple fun game…

There isn’t a huge amount to say about this in reality but what I can tell you is all good. It’s a simple idea and easy to play. There are four handles, two each at either end of a long length of rope. A bright Orange ball sits in the middle and the concept is simple: you need to pull the two handles apart and the ball will fly from one end of the rope to the other. Pull gently and the ball with travel the length at a slower speed. Rip the handles apart with force and the ball will shoot rapidly down the line at your opponent. It’s strangely satisfying and addictive to play and you soon find you get into a fluid rhythm with your partner as the ball zips from end to end. My kids and I ended up playing this for absolutely ages enjoying a wonderful conversation as we played. I really can’t fault this and would be more than happy to recommend this to anyone. It’s different to anything else out there and so easy to use. A really good product at a good price. Brilliant!

5.0 out of 5 stars Strangely addictive and satisfying

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBasic outdoor fun toy that gives you a good upper body workout too! This is a great toy for the garden, beach or park and a great way to get your child exercising whilst having fun. It’s not a toy you can play with for hours on end because it does take some arm effort but it’s great for family fun. Because it’s arm powered it doesn’t need charging or batteries, just be careful not to tangle the ropes. It’s basically a case of sending the ball back and forth between 2 people.

Still as much fun as it was in the 1980’s! I had one of these when I was a kid and we kept a spare in our static caravan to use at the beach. It’s probably more fun to older people who remember the original to be honest. We took this out on a big family day out over Easter and it was the adults who used it most, although my 12 year old nephew had fun with us. It doesn’t look as strong and sturdy as I remember the original being but its a lot sturdier than it looked. I don’t think 13.99 is expensive for a good fun outdoor toy and it’s proven durable so far.

5.0 out of 5 stars Still great fun!

This is a really fun and fast paced game. It is a really simple idea for an outside game that works really well. Me and my son had great fun playing it. We have to be careful playing in our back garden as we have quite a low wall so balls often get lost but this game is nice and safe! Good value at 13.99 perfect for taking to the beach or on a camping holiday to keep adults and kids entertained.

This is a fun garden game that can be played by many ages, my son is seven and comfortably plays it with his sister but also it has been brought out at a BBQ and there was definitely some competitive adults battling it out!

It is super simple to use, you pull the two handles apart as the ball approaches you, the faster you pull them apart the faster it moves back towards the other player and then it goes back and forth.

The grandkids gave this unusual ball game a test run in my small garden and they said they had a blast.

Has to be played with 2 people.

The girls said there arms were aching when they finished, but they thought it was a great game.

The ball game can be used inside as well as outside as long as you have the space.

Appears robust and so easy to operate.

Fair price and I’d recommend for a stress free ball game where there is no chance of the bell disappearing over the fence.

I hope you found this review helpful

The kids love playing with this while we have been at the caravan and keeps them occupied for agees when they first played it they thought the rugby shaped ball was going to hit them in the face and kept trying to dodge out of its way which made everyone laugh great fun and simple to play

We had one in the 80s it was bigger and solid I tried this out. We had so much fun. When the zoom ball was coming at me I kept wanting to move out of the way because I thought it was going to hit me. lol, All we kept doing was laughing while we played. It is a great exercise for your arms because when we were done playing our arms were tired.

My daughter and I had a good go of this. I really enjoyed it and she was terrified. She thought the ball was going to hit her even though that would be highly unlikely.

It’s quite fun to play and is intensely fast once you get going.
A good game to play when you don’t want to risk a ball going over the fence or wherever.

I remember having one of these when I was younger and playing it on the beach with my family. First Alger element for me is 5 out of five. My son who is nine enjoy playing this with me and his father however my seven-year-old found that he couldn’t stretches arms out quite far enough to ping the ball off in the other direction.

It’s great fun regardless and a perfect beach toy to use in the summer.

It doesn’t take up much room and is super simple to use

I last played zoom ball years ago and had one of these as an adolescent. This is but a cheap imitation of the original product, from the hollowed out, hard plastic handles to the patterned logo stuck on to the rugby-shaped ball itself.

This game works by holding the tension on the twisted nylon cords tight and I am not confident that this ball game is robust enough to withstand a huge amount of pressure on the strings. Indeed, the plastic will long outlive the game itself. Yet there is a strange fascination as to how the ball zooms up and down the tension cords and the aim is for you to use your arm strength to move it fast and hard. Test your reaction time and arm strength to return the ball to the opposite player!

This game has still not lost its fun and it provides a good arm workout.
