You have to wait six hours before you begin.
The six hour wait was a large pain in the a**. Once the solution is ready it works very well but takes about 24hrs for them to dry. The tweezers were useless, they could be improved. My great grandson and I had fun doing it last night.

Bought as gift so not seen item but told was good so hence 4 stars as they’re not likely to say was awful but equally would not say it was good if really poor so cannot give more accurate rating.
Lovely gift for any age, my kids have made 25 pictures so far and there’s still loads of ink left, really easy to use and the patterns you can make are so endless, had a go myself and it’s actually really fun, will definitely buy agai
I had a great time using this product with a 9 year old girl – although I did not realise you had to make up the liquid and leave for 6 hours prior to using which caused a bit of a challenge as I had planned the day around the craft but all worked out well and it’s really clever and gives great pictures! I did not read all the comments properly and it is an A5 paper size but would recommend and once it’s dried (allow more than an hour) it’s great results
I am sure we have all seen those ‘hydro-dipping’ videos of recent times where they take ordinary objects, dunk them in a tank with a printed film floating on the surface and wrap the item in the pattern. This is basically that! I was skeptical at first as we have been burned by many craft projects that are either too complicated or don’t give the expected results, but this kit is pretty awesome! In the box you get a dipping tray, 6 coloured inks, plenty of paper sheets (it is just ordinary paper), several tools to aid with marbling (including tweezers for removing the paper from the tray) and 3 packs of special powder. The powder itself will do many, many applications. You use one scoopful (scoop provided) per use, and we did 10 different sheets in a single turn and there was still plenty of liquid left in the tray. you literally get hundreds and hundreds of uses out of this! One thing to note, the solution (which is powder and water) needs several hours to fully dissolve before it is ready for use. I ended up with quite an upset 8 year old who wanted to try this out but had to wait for the next day! so prep the mixture in advance! Fortunately, once mixed you can store it for long periods. What you end up with is a slightly thick water which you pour into the tray ready for use. Then its a case of going to town with your coloured ink! the bottles are designed to allow good control of a single drip onto the tray, which then blooms out like oil on water. Add as many drips as you want then use the tools to create swirls and shapes until you are happy. Once complete you simply lay a sheet of paper on top of the water for 3 seconds and remove. I was quite surprised that the paper took all of the ink from the solution and left it completely clear ready for another go, and was definitely not as messy as i had worried about, in fact we didnt make any mess at all. We let the sheets dry on kitchen towel overnight and ended up with some beautiful pictures. My daughter was mesmerized at how well this worked, as were myself and my wife! Most craft kits go on the shelf after a single try but we will definitely be using this again, making sure that next time we prepare the solution ahead of time!

This is so cool for kids and adults. Be warned you have to mix the solution, six hours in advance before you can actually get cracking but once you do you can make some lovely pieces of art. it can be so creative and easy to make something that looks so great! a really good present or a gift for any kid. I definitely recommend

Creates really cool art work my daughter had a lot of fun with it, the only downside is you have to make a gel and then leave it to set for 6hrs before you can create the marble art, which for kids can be a bit of a pain as they don’t really think ahead and tend to want to do things on impulse. It does work really well though
Loads of fun for an 8 year old
This is a well made product that continues to provide us lots of pleasure. Its quality exceeded expectations and the marbling effect is really good (if you follow the instructions).
Customer service excelle
Very expensive, takes 6 hours to set up which it should mention on the box and doesn’t work well at all as despite following instructions to the letter the powder clumped and didn’t produce the desired consistency. Very poor kit and a disappointed child. Updated review after unsolicited help from customer service who sorted the problem out very quickly. Now we have a very happy granddaughter and some beautiful marbled pictures. Thank you.
As a SEND Teacher this product wins every time. Be aware that the solution NEEDS to be dissolved overnight, so prep needed. I find the 1 spoon to 250ml a little too thick 300 ml is better. Combine this set of 6 primary colours with a box of metallic colours for some real action on the water surface !
There were some mixed reviews about this so thought I would add a positive one. It worked really well as you can see from picture.
We made to solution twice as the first time the powder didn’t seem to dissolve but I don’t think we left it long enough. We left the second solution overnight and it was fully dissolved. The tweezers to use to pick up the paper are a bit rubbish but other than that a great little produc

This is amazing for kids and adults alike. My daughter is 8 and thinks it’s amazing.
The instructions are not complicated so my daughter could easily do it on her own. I woukd highly recommend.
I thought it was quite expensive for what it is but after we received it I was happy with the price.
