You can get 6 weeks out of these filters easily and with no residue. The cost is far cheaper than the original ones… so approx 12-14 months for filters for a lot less…. Great bargain, surely?

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThey seem to work but we couldn’t figure out at first that they need a little blue adapter (sold with the filters) to work. Almost thought I wasted my money until we found a comment in French here letting us know about it (thanks !!). It needs to be better explained

Purchased these as Brita filters are so expensive.
Little adapter to place in the filter compartment makes the filter work – has to be used as these are not quite as deep as the Brita.
26.99 approx for 12 – a whole years worth, compared to16.99 approx for the Brita for 3.

Good filters, they fit my jug and kettle and do the job well. Brilliant value for money. Only thing I’ve found is they take quite a bit longer to filter the water than an official Brita filter, but no big deal?

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOnly tried one so far in a Livewater XL jug & they fit fine & filter well enough without needing to use the included filter hole adapter.
I had to push it down hard to obtain a complete seal as at first I noticed a couple of very slight leaks down each side, but after pushing it down harder it fully sealed without becoming difficult to remove when required.
It took around 11 minutes to filter 2.5ltrs of water, but this can be sped up quite a bit by lifting the reservoir out, turning it sideways, and letting it sit upon the sides of the jug once the filtered water in the jug below reaches the bottom of the reservoir/filter, this knocks off approx’ 3 minutes giving you 2.5ltrs of filtered water in around 9 minutes using these filters.
YOU MUST ensure you clean these as instructed prior to use. After having it soaking for 5 to 6 min’s I noticed it had turned onto it’s side & when up-righting it I noticed a little bit of slippery translucent yellow fluid on the top??? That is slightly worrying and I’m not sure if it’s due to the coconut fibres or what, so after wiping it off I gave it a thorough flushing under running water before allowing to soak for at least another 10 min’s. I occasionally gave it a few shakes on it’s side whilst in the water during this time but never found anything else leaking from it. I decided to take a chance that it was nothing nasty and will be checking the next filter carefully when preparing it.
We’re fortunate enough to already have good quality drinking water from the tap with not much limescale to begin with and I haven’t really noticed much taste difference, just very slight (to be honest though I’ve been a smoker for almost 50yrs so the old taste buds aren’t up to much these days).
Not too sure exactly what these will filter out though as there’s only info regarding chlorine on the enclosed booklet, so unless I’ve missed something I can’t say if they work to filter out all the contaminants stated or not, particularly given the good quality of our water to begin with.
As long as the yellow goo was nothing to worry about and they all work as intended though, these are decent enough value when compared to many others, especially branded filters.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersEither due to an oversight at my end or sth indeed missing, I received the filters which indeed need an additional part fitted at the bottom of the filters so it’s attached to the latch and allows for warer to run through. The company does provide in the box. The filters indeed will not work without these so word of advise, always check for the additional parts in the box before flagging that filters don’t work. I received amazing customer support, the company was more than helpful and accomodating of my request for return and I will definitely give it another go – this time following the instructions in the above description and emptying the box completely to ensure the small parts are there. This review is to thank the company and its representatives for being kind and trying their best to rectify things.
