These full size hotel pans made our July 4th cookout a success. Being able to store, cover, keep warm, and serve all from the same pan made these worth the price. We even used one in the oven for baked beans. I would recommend. If there are any issues, I will update the review.

If you are like me and host family and friends for all manner of occasions including Christmas and birthdays, a chafing dish buffet set like this comes in handy to keep food warm and looking presentable and yummy. These two 9L dishes are extremely well made – just as any I have used previously in work in catering kitchens, and allow for my food to look professional and appetising. They are fairly heavy, but easy to set up and clean down and has everything you need bar fuel to entertain and use. They are easily stacked together for storage, and seem they will be much more durable and sturdy for use for a number of years, unlike foil trays I used previously. I can’t wait for the summer when we will begin to have family celebrations in earnest and these will be a time and stress saving addition to my hosting them.

Perfect, just what I needed. Excellent quality; very large and deep, perfect for a banquet, buffet or any event. Means less dishes used and less washing! Very easy to use, assemble and put away, stores away neatly and tidily too. All I had to buy was the fuel. Used for a large gathering and they kept the food warm and at a safe temperature for hours. We will definitely be using them for Christmas too. Upon checking the value for money, these are brilliantly priced for a set of 2 compared to others.

This set of chafing dishes provides 2 x 9Ltr serving pans that are ideal for serving catering quantities of food in a warm buffet style on a large scale – perfect for serving many guests without the need for constant refilling.
I was guilty of not reading the full description and when I saw the pictures thought the size wouldn’t be too bad , being 65cm wide by 35cm high and 35 cm high but when assembled these take up a lot of counter space , so more ideal for restaurant ,caterer or outdoor marquee event etc . If for a domestic kitchen you would need a lot of clear space to use .
The box these two pans arrive in is large and due to the quality of the stainless steel I was surprised how i heavy the carton was . On opening the box I thought there had been a mistake because as well as the 2 lids there appeared to be 4 pans , again , my fault I didn’t realise they were bain marie types of equipment . There are three parts , the deeper bottom pan is a water container which helps distribute the heat for the food container that sits above . The water spreads the heat and prevents scorching in areas above the heat source and cold spots away from the heat source .
I also assumed (wrongly) that the “fuel holder” took t-lights as the heat source but they are designed for ethanol gel that has to be purchased separately .
I’m not a caterer and got these for family events such as Christmas or special birthdays or anniversaries but now wonder where I’m going to store them for most of the year !
The heavy duty stainless steel pieces are of first class manufacture and won’t rust and are easily cleaned and should be ideal for any commercial catering enterprise .
At the time of purchase for the two ,these appear to be excellent value and should last a lifetime .
