Very slight problem with the order, not the sellers fault but they dealt with it immediately, fantastic service, thank you very much 🙂

Bit tricky to put together, took nearly 2 hours. Very sturdy and easy to use, have used it every day and feeling much fitter. Fairly easy to move around. Would thoroughly recommend.

The instruction manual makes the assembly look very daunting, but once you start it is much simpler.
The trickiest part is the peddle assembly but by rotating it you can bring it level so that the metal bar fits
    through at 180 degrees.
It is a smoothly operating exercise bike and quite sturdy for the price. I am very pleased with it!

Had a problem with two left pedal bolts instead of one right and one left, contacted seller and got one sent out in 24 hours, pedal bolts are hard to put on but strength and perseverance pays off, easy to use, serves its purpose. Value for money.

Nice and sturdy, obviously not like the gyms 2 grand items, but still good and with good resistance. Diagram to assemble was horrific at first, but when you realise most parts are already together, not too bad. Bit clunky when pedalling in reverse but can live with that. Good workout.

I was really pleased with this product. It was easy to assemble, took about an hour. It is easy to
Move as well. However, after less than a month the peddles broke. Really frustrating. What I will say though is the customer care team had a new one delivered in 24 hours. I really can’t fault the way in which this was handled. Really happy with the resolution of this issue. It is a rare fault I am told. Now I can get back to training.

Great machine, I find it to be sturdy enough and definitely good for an intense workout. I will say that the left bolt which attaches the arm to the crank on the body was faulty which caused the nut to be shredded so it didn’t tighten and clicked when in use which didn’t feel particularly safe. I contacted the seller and a new bolt was sent out the next day. It now works perfectly. I have previously had a cross-trainer which aged badly, so I think it’s fair to expect some squeaking and loosening of bolts over time when you’re spending less than 500. Overall great product and great service, would recommend.

Not a bad cross-trainer for the money.
Assembly is not easy at all and nuts and bolts NOT labelled with the numbers that are referred too in the manual. Manual is written poorly in “Chinese English” especially on how to use the computer part for KM, time etc.(its very basic but registers time, km, etc.
Quite sturdy though the cross bar part is not easy to align and will break your heart to get right. Potentially you can end up with a gap like in photo. ********
Easy to move as small wheels on front
Overall works fine, I recommend it but leave lots of time to assemble and get help if not technical minded. Overall value for money and a good budget level entry for someone wanting to do a bit of movement in these covidd times. Never will replace Gym equipme

    Value for money, entry level

The end product is brilliant .. I am very happy with the X-trainer.

The assembly took AGES !!! Lots of scratching of head and going wrong and ultimately swearing loudly.
Honestly the instructions are horrible and very confusing and I am used to putting flat pack products together !!!

Great end result but they really do need to re-write the assembly instruction booklet.

An Excellent product, performance and price for this X-trainer. It was easy to assemble all single handed, the instructions were great to understand and follow. The performance and quality would outdo more expensive models on the market.
Delivery by Parcel force was prompt and efficient.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersLockdown fitness being less than it should be, bought this so I can try return to normal (not terribly fit but better than now) levels.

Spent ages reviewing but reality is that everyone’s bought the dammed things so there’s few to pick from. However, I did know I wanted a combined cross-trainer and bike and the reviews for this one were largely good whether for fit people or not. It was also reasonable price.

It arrived partly assembled. The scary exploded diagram therefore wasn’t needed.

What was needed was a parts inventory as I spent 20 minutes trying to find a part and was about to give up when I found it. All the tools were provided and although the instructions could have been clearer I managed it alone in under an hour including the wasted time trying to identify parts.

Everything was there but there was damage on the padding on the upright handles. This was cosmetic only but as the box was undamaged it can only have been done before shipping.

Contacted the manufacturer who was both very speedy and very helpful. Sent a couple of photos and we agreed what they’d provide a full replacement for that part), which arrived very quickly. I was happy with that and impressed by how quickly they sorted it out.

In use it’s quite noisy (dreams of working out whilst on work conference calls will never be realised) but not massively so. It needs the bolt checking and tightening every so often as in use the variable directional forces means it can loosen things.

There’s an adjustment wheel in case it all becomes too easy and a display (battery required) for speed, heart rate etc. I think there was supposed to be somewhere to prop a smartphone or tablet but I can’t see where.

I found it far harder going than I expected but then 6 months of not going anywhere haven’t helped. I’m building up my exercise and because it’s a cross-trainer and bike I can swap between the two. The ‘pedals’ aren’t great for cycling but it does the job (though it’s harder going than my real bike).

It does have wheels for tip and wheel moving but not something I’d want to do too often. It’s currently sat on an exercise mat (to protect the carpet) and a bit in the way but ok.

Having initially sneered at it my son has used it a few times. And I’m smug in that I can manage longer than he can 🙂

Fairly easy to put together, feels quite sturdy too, I’ve racked up about 200km on it so far and it’s going very strong still (I’m also slightly over the recommended weight allowance too). Does require some ad hoc tightening up at times but these are just with the hand screw parts, so can do it very easily. Once had to re tighten a nut on it as it was making an annoying noise but that’s about it!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersTook me a while to put this together! Took a good few hours but I got there in the end! It’s quite simple really I’m just useless it’s not a bad machine.. Although the plastic on the end of one of the wires that makes the computer thing work (I don’t know what it’s called) was split open and cracked. We thought it was broke but managed to tape it into place.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is a great basic cross trainer/bike. It was really easy to assemble and is lightweight enough to be able to move from room to room with ease. Have had it about 5 weeks and two of us are using it every day for up to 2 hours overall. Its sturdy enough to be used this regularly using both cross trainer and bike and we’ve only had to tighten the bolts slightly once after a month of regular use. Its battery operated/chain driven and has a basic computer for speed, time, distance etc. Its exactly what we wanted and expected for the price. Very pleased with it and would recommend to anyone else wanting a basic machine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent basic machine

Once built I am very happy with this, it works exactly as expected & is just what I was hoping for & isn’t too loud for using while watching tv.

I was disappointed to find on arrival that the base unit had a large crack in it. I expect this was down to the delivery company more than the product as the box it came in was very battered. I didn’t notice the crack until I was halfway through putting it together & didn’t want to have to try & box it back up so, as it still works fine, chose not to make a complaint & raise it. Especially as the product went out of stock after my purchase & I wanted to use it. Something to look out for before starting assembly though.

I found the assembly instructions quite confusing & hard to follow but once I got my head round which pieces went where I managed to figure most of it out myself and had it built in a couple of hours.

I assembled this cross training in around 2 hours I found it a little time consuming and was worn out after so couldn’t use it until the next day however it’s a great piece of kit, very sturdy and strong, doesn’t move on the carpet and is quite quiet too, my only opinion is that it is not a substitute for a bike, there are no pedals or handlebars, just paddles and a seat, I have bought a separate exercise bike which is far better. As a cross trainer this item is great value for money and I use it 3-4 times a week It is great cardio excel use there is tension so you can increase the effort if you want a harder workout. Great Xtrainer not a good bike.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis machine is great value for money. It’s so easy to use when you can’t be bothered to go to the gym after a long day at work. Like many I’ve bought a lot of at home exercise machines to improve my fitness and this is the only one out of all of my purchase that really makes me break a sweat. I didn’t find the instructions until half way through but it wasn’t too difficult to figure out for me. If you really peddle hard it might move slightly and is a little noisy but unless you’re buying super heavy gym equipment that’s to be expected. I’ve put more cushioning on the seat too for comfort which works well for me. I read some reviews about the tension adjustment as the tension wasn’t changing when I adjusted it on the machine but there’s a little tab of material at the front that I pulled on and then it was fine and I could tell the difference. Very happy with my purchase!

Managed to put it up on my own, some of the instructions are a bit backwards (attaching flimsy wires before securing the post, bit risky in my opinion as you have to then hold the post firmly to attach or risk yanking on the wires) but otherwise easy to follow. Some of the bolts/tools are a bit fiddly but got there in the end.
Be wary of oil/lube! Some of the parts are lubed up more than a slip n slide, my hands came away looking like I’d had a false tan mishap but it came off with soap and a scrub. The bit on my carpet may be another matter but hay ho, that’ll teach me to set it up on carpet – although that’s where I plan to use it so may need a mat.

I haven’t used it properly yet but tested for adjustment.
I have to overreach to use the moving handles when sat down and stoop my back a bit so not comfy, will need to have a fiddle about to try and make a better fit for me. I also have to lean quite a bit to reach the stationary handles which I don’t find too comfy either. The stationary post also feels a bit un-sturdy but not really tested, it’s held in by two bolts at the base.
When standing I can reach the moving handles but the foot plates are quite steep so make sure your shoes have a sturdy toe.
The computer wakes up when I move something so that all seems to be in working order but unfortunately the wires don’t tuck away so might have to tape them up to make it look a bit tidier, not a big issue.

It’s quieter than my washing machine so don’t think any noise complaints are coming my way.

    For ref I’m 5ft 4″.

If my opinions change after use I’ll edit the review.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’ve had this cross trainer for six weeks now. I have used it nearly every day and it seems to be holding up well. I’m 64 so don’t cane it like some of you young fitness fanatics would. For 15 minutes of standing excercise, I manage 2.5km which is plenty to get the blood flowing at my age. Assembly was not difficult if you are of a moderatly practical nature. So to sum up it’s good value as long as you don’t go mad on it.

UPDATE: Well even treating it with care hasn’t stopped it from deteriorating. The left pedal thread has stripped. The instructions say to use a spring washer under the pedal nuts but I now realise this must be wrong as the washer is rubbing on a moving part which is daft. Should have realised when assembling it.

The crosstrainer turned up on time, was well packed and not too difficult to put together. It would be nice to be suggested not to build on a carpet or with good clothes on though as there is a lot of grease/oil residue on the metalwork which got on me and the carpet during the build.
Fantastic machine which my wife and kids both enjoy BUT I have a muscle wasting condition and have found this machine very difficult even on the lowest setting. [I must point out this is only for me and for normally fit people is fine as my 9 yr olds can use it okay.] Everything works well but have only had it a couple of days

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersTake care and assemble nice & tight and this is a descent trainer for the price.
It’s great to just jump on for 10 mins or I do a 30 min session, equivalent to me running a 5k.
I leave the tension on full because I want to feel some resistance and not have to stay on longer than 30 mins. This is not for the serious runner and it will be perfect for smaller people and those trying to get fit. The bike part is not as good as the stand up cross trainer as I cannot spin very fast without my feet slipping, and I am a cyclist, hence the resistance isn’t high enough for me.
it’s not really noisy and quite sturdy, however we have it on a rubber mat so it moves and wobbles a bit, hence I would have liked the legs to extend a few inches.
Overall though it’s great for the price, we’ve noticed the same trainer with a brand logo for a higher price.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI have owned 2 of these machines over the last few years. Using them three times a week for 20 mins at a time, combined with a sensible eating plan, has meant I have lost over 2 stone. The convenience of having something in the home to just jump on and get a good cardio workout has been great!
I must admit the machine is not faultless. I did have a few issues with wear and tear. However I must commend their customer service as they always promptly issued replacement parts when I explained my problems. If you are on a tight budget I recommend this product.

It arrived a day early which wasn’t a problem on this occasion as someone was unexpectedly at home. Appears to be the norm? Easy to put together, took about an hour and a half with a lunch break in between. Lining up a bolt to thread it through 3 holes can be a bit fiddly but patience always helps. It was very helpful that some of the screws were actually screwed into the piece of equipment where they should go: anything that was to be placed on a specific side was actually marked as such and the bolts that were specifically threaded were in separate plastic bags and marked as such so if you unwrap each part as you need it, you can’t go wrong. Would agree the saddle is a bit uncomfortable on long sessions but bearable and yes i would find it more comfortable if the feet paddles were positioned further forward but for the money and the use i will make of it, it is a great machine. Minimal noise but you have to expect some. I love it and look forward to enjoying getting fit. So pleased with my purchase.

Golden Review Award: 22 From Our UsersI have had this machine a week now and have used every day for around an hour.

First of all, the trainer arrived well packaged and took around an hour to fit together. The instructions aren’t great, but with a bit of common sense it is fairly painless assembling all the parts, all the tools required are supplied, and everything is clearly labelled.

Onto the workout itself, I think it is doing the trick, the onboard computer gives you an idea of time, distance, calories burned and speed, I am not sure how accurate these measurements are, but for me it’s not a problem and provides a good indication, but I use my Apple Watch to accurately record heart rate and calories burned.

After using for an hour each day for a week, I definitely feel the difference, and have more energy and actually quite enjoy my work out time.

The machine itself feels sturdy enough while using, and your backside soon gets used to the fairly hard padded saddle, although a little sore after the first use, this soon eased after a day or two of usage.

Onto the cons. The various nuts and bolts that are used to assemble quickly seem to work loose, and I have found that after each workout I am having to re-tighten before he next, one of the nuts on the left peddle worked loose. This isn’t a great inconvenience but more a mild annoyance, but then I suppose I should have expected this for the price paid.

The machine is quite loud when using, however with your headphones in, this will be more of an annoyance for your family rather than yourself.

Time will tell if this machine will stand the test of time and an hourly work out each day, I doubt it, however I think that now I know I am using it I will, when it completely falls apart, invest in a more expensive model.

All in all, a good machine for the moderate new user and cheaper and more convenient than a gym membership.

UPDATE: A bit completely fell off the left pedal. Luckily I was sitting down at the time and so avoided injury. Contacted the seller who has said I must have put it together wrong, but will send me a new part as a good will gesture.

Downgraded one star, will update again when the part turns up.

    FURTHER UPDATE.

The part arrived as promised and was fitted nice and easily, I have added pictures of the bolt that was removed compared to the new one. Let’s hope this one is fine.

I have used the machine for 2 weeks now and really starting to tell the difference. I have also found I am going greater distances in the same amount of time. +one star for the service and replacement part.

Ok for a new user, but will it stand the test of time?

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersReceived this morning, 2 days earlier then expected! Brilliant delivery! Not to hard to put together (although I did have a little help from my dad haha) Haven’t done a proper work out on it yet so I can’t comment on that although I did give it a little go once put together it does feel a little bit wobbly but for the price paid that was expected. So far so good I’ve had one of these before but this brand is very good. I have a small flat so it very practical just to keep and tuck away. Very easy to use and recommend getting a padded seat. Husband said the instructions were pretty straightforward and take about a hour to fix. The only thing stopping from giving 5 starts is that it’s a bit wobbly and that I can’t seem to set it to the program I want for example just the distance or just the calories.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBike was delivered earlier than estimated which was very good considering it was over the New Year period. Having read other reviews about assembling it I went very slowly and carefully. It was OK but the assembly instructions are not the easiest to follow. Very pleased with the actual bike but the computer is not the easiest to use and when you are using the cross trainer you can’t see the display. Overall for the cost I am very satisfied and would recommend it to others.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI had read all the pos & neg comments about this unit & I initially hesitated before purchasing.
But, I’m very glad I did and can confirm the following:
1.Unit was delivered one week BEFORE the estimated date
2.Assembly (by someone who owned a different brand a few years ago) is easily done. Read the assembly booklet people, it really is staightforward !!
3.Once assembled, the computer display would not show distance or speed – however, a quick email to the seller and JJ @ XS-SPORTS and myself had it diagnosed to a faulty sensor which was sent out via 1st Class Postage. Fitted now and eveything works like a charm.
4.It does what it says in the description and has so far been used by myself and my teenage kids with no problems whatsoever
All in all, great unit that will become part of my cardio routine for the foreseeable future.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersWhat a very good cross trainer for the money. Other reviewers have been critical of the bolts, alignment of bolt holes and the instructions. The bolts are of a good commercial standard, as used in cars etc. As to bolt alignment, I can understand, that if you tighten some bolts, on one or other component, because of the clearance in the bolt holes, this may cause misalignment. The best method is to assemble all components, with the bolts just hand tight, this will allow “looseness” in the joints allowing correct alignment and assembly, the bolts can then be fully tightened on completion of the assembly. Yes I agree that the instructions could be more detailed but, they are adequate and the assembly drawings are a very good guide. My only criticisms, is of the seat, which is very hard, and needs a cushion of some sort. In short a very good exercise machine for the money and, should give years of use, as all wear parts are listed, to be bought as required.

I was looking for a 2 in 1 bike and cross trainer, as these are the only types of exercise I can do because of a medical condition. My wife also wanted to do some exercise as well, so I had to check all available, makes and models, as she is 5’1″ and I am 5’10” not all will accommodate this difference in height. The Xs Sports Pro does. My machine arrived within 48 hours of placing my order, well packed and protected, it took only an hour and fifteen minutes to be assembled, the hardest part was getting it out of the box. It is great to use, in which ever mode you chose. The only drawbacks are, that the computer does not have a back light, so is hard to see the settings, the seat is also rather uncomfortable, I recommend the use of a gel seat cover. Overall a great exercise machine, for a reasonable price.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe delivery came quite quick actually. The machine itself is of very good quality..strong. putting it together was relatively easy but..i found that the crossbar holding the moving handles was slightly out of alignment and that caused a long slow process. The threads on the bolts were very very hard. My hands were rather sore after to say the least and I had to use my ratchet set in the end to finish the job. The instruction manual was rather non instructional and there was a lot of guess work but it’s up and I like it so 5 stars!

Update..ok a good machine..very solid but it has one major problem. The handles and the seat are way to far apart so you have to stretch. There is no way of adjusting the seat or handle closer.. just up and down and my gf can’t use it. Shame.

Only had it a couple of days. Fast delivery and well packed. Straight forward to assemble, though the destructions make it look more complicated than it actually is. Using proper spanners helped compared to the basic one included (though at least all the tools needed are in the box). The arm workout handles are a bit wobbly, so could do with extra fixings and for me, being 6’2″, the machine is too small in stride pattern. Thankfully, it was not for me! Our two wee lads love it.

The trainer arrived earlier than quoted by Amazon. As others have mentioned, it took a while to understand the instructions and build the bike, but it just takes an hour or two of concentration to get the job done. Had a small issue with the centre piece not fitting correctly as per the instruction manual, but after contacting XS Sports, they responded almost immediately and had an easy fix! The bike does exactly what it says on the tin, is good quality and the customer service has been top notch. Would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPurchased Jan 17 (post Xmas podge!) for me and her indoors. Initial impression – easy to put together, relatively clear instructions, took around 30 mins max (with a break for a drink!).
It seems well put together with decent size steel sections and bolts and spring washers/nylock nuts are included where needed.
I did manage to put the foot rests on the wrong way round – left is looking from the front of the machine, not as you are sitting on it but it was soon fixed.
First use seems smooth, not too noisy. I used first in bike mode, then in sitting down cross trainer mode, then in full stepper mode – all worked well.

Possibly in time it may get a little too easy, but for now it seems fine for our purposes.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe machine arrived on time as I paid for a quicker delivery. I installed it with no problem, took me 2 hours with little distractions during the installations. The little monitor was not working properly but I emailed the company and they sent another one next day which was really good.

The machine is good for home training, does the job well and it is worth the money. I just think that the strength of the bike is not much because I already turned to full plus but the strength seems to be still easy, maybe im used to the hard one that I find this easy but other than that, its a great machine.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought with a view to building fitness and strength, all of which have disappeared since becoming a bit of a couch potato! Took just over 2 hours to build including the time to check all parts were there and in good order (they were). Didn’t find the instructions difficult to follow. All went well apart from the left side bolt that connects the step bar to the wheel at the back – would not go in completely – so will have to continually check that in case it works loose. Otherwise, appears sturdy, read-out works so looking forward to using regularly now. Oh, seat VERY hard, next purchase will be a gel cover for it!

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersI bought this as an alternative to running outside in the winter. I needed something that wasn’t too big and was sturdy enough to withstand daily use and this machine does the job on both points. I just set the timer for the same amount of time that I usually run for and away I go. You can use the machine as a bike as well which is useful as a warm up/cool down or on days when you’re tired but still want to do some exercise. The only tiny draw backs were the amount of time it took to set up (2hrs) and the fact that I have had to tighten up the screws a couple of times. In the first week that I had this machine I used it every day for 20-40 minutes and lost 4lb without changing my diet, so it’s definately working for me. Well worth the money.

My cross trainer was delivered just over 3 weeks ago on time and very well packed. The few assembly problems I had were due to my not reading the instructions. I am 74 and have cardiac and knee joint problems and I bought this to help me get exercise without too much impact on my joints. I now use it daily and it has exceeded my expectations. In use the standing position gives too much load on my knees at the moment so I use it like a basic exercise bike. I sit up while pedalling to minimise the strain on my knees. I have found that by standing in front of the exerciser I can use the bars to move the flywheel and give me a useful upper body and cardiac workout.
Overall I am pleased that I bought this to as it is helping to improve my fitness with the added bonus of a VERY competitive price.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersNine months in. I’ve worn out a friction belt, which is taken as fair wear and tear, so I needed to buy a replacement. As ever, service very good indeed. There are a few tricks to make ’em last longer.

Anyway, the bigger issue is: I broke it. Big time. In cross-trainer mode, wobbling violently from side to side. OK in cycling mode. Inspection shows virtually all the welds holding the uprights to the long fore/aft base had separated. Worth a glance. If you have the right contacts, easy to repair, I’ll bet. Anyway, reported it, and fantastic service. Inside a week, a full replacement base arrived, bolted back together easily and while it’s too late tonight to give it a proper workout, it looks great. So, no need to change the ***** review; it remains well deserved. I still love the product and service leads the pack!

So, three months on and almost daily use, this is standing up very well. It gives me a very good workout. Yes, this is not the most expensive and sophisticated machine out there, but it works very well. However, it does like a little bit of attention. Check the main bolts- pedals to cranks-especially- for tightness every so often, and keep an eye on the trueness of the flywheel. Thankfully, that’s easy, because the bar over the top of it gives an excellent guide. As the wheel drifts out of true, it starts to jerk as if the chain’s going to come off. Which I’m sure it would if left. However, the requisite fittings are there to adjust it all, and then it’s back to a satisfying and steady whirr. To set the tension, I’ve found it best to leave the screw adjuster in the middle of its range, give a good pull on the strap, and adjust from there. Oh, you could probably read the instructions, I suppose. Setting the cross-trainer bars relatively low makes then less prone to rattle a bit. Good stuff, very, very pleased so far.

Only four stars so far, as it’s an exercise machine, so there’s some reluctance to “love” it.

However, it arrived promptly, assembled easily (pedals a little fiddly), and does provide a good workout.

It does creak a bit, but so far survives a forty minute daily work out.

Really, nothing to complain about, and I hope to raise the score to ***** when the longevity has been proved.

it seems like the same thing is available differently badged from a number of places, but at the time, this seemed the cheapest by a pound or five, and I can testify to the excellent delivery service.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersDoes exactly what I need it to do and is really good for the price. It was a little painful to build but I think all of them are going to be a bit hassle. Make sure you read the instructions thoroughly – my brain decided to skip a sentence and I ended up asking them for help – which they were incredibly quick to help with. Some bolts are threaded the opposite way to normal – keep an eye on that. You may think the bolt has cross-threaded but it hasn’t – turn it the other way (left hand side caused me the problem).

My only issue would be that the computer is a bit cheap – but lets face it – you’re paying a very low price for something that’s actually built very well.

    Enjoy!
