I was going to send these filters back, because they were leaking at the ends.
Then on one final try I realised you have to push the quarter inch pipe into the filter, with a bit more force, until it clicked into place, then it doesn’t leak. At first I was just scared of over using too much force, but it must feel like it’s just clicked into place. So you slide it in until it stops, then force it some more, to get it properly seated inside the filter. I fitted about 30 whole bathroom suites, without getting any leaks, but this small job of fitting a filter had me baffled, well nobodies perfect.
We buy these filters regularly to replace used filter on our large Haier fridge freezer. Our appliance tells us when to replace, but we do so every 4 months since we live in a very hard water area. The water dispenser remains clean and the water quality from the filter is very good. Very easy to replace.
Water tastes great! This has really helped us up our water intake as a family. Usually our tap water would taste very metallic, but now it’s comparable to bottled water without a doubt. We have saved so much money not having to buy bottled water since having these.
A reasonably priced alternative to the Samsung filter. We have a Samsung RS8000 fridge freezer that takes the DA29-10105J filters and when looking to replace it I found these compatible filters. Followed the instructions that came in the box and had no problems fitting. I can’t say I’ve noticed any difference in the taste between this and the original filter so will happily buy more when needed in the future.
These are good filters.
Easy to fit and easy to change.
Pipes are locked in place with a small clip which means no leaks.
Good quality water which means I don’t have to descale my coffee machine as often.
We fit a new one every 6 months, my hubby has to pull out our large fridge to fit it which is a bit of a fiddle
but very happy with the produc
Replacement water filter for LG GR-L206CPQA. Had to cut the ends of the pipes into the water filter, perfect fit and all working fine.
Price was good and delivered next day.

The water does taste a little better but you have to flush the system of about 80 litres of water to remove the cloudy water that it initially produces – a good 20 – 30 minutes work! Then flush another 10 litres before drinking it, as it turns cloudy again! it’s quite a wastage of water unless you can water the plants with it!
Unless you work for the water board there’s no real way of telling / knowing just how well your water is actually filtered, although it looks as clear as tap water after all the preliminaries are done and tastes a little better than tap water. I can’t say that I’m 100% convinced.
On first try these seem to be an excellent replacement for the original LG filters, two for less than the price of one LG filter, water tastes fine, time will tell, happy with my purchase. Used the water filter man before for originals so hoping these are as good quality.
My order of Aquahouse american fridge water filters came today and i had one fitted within 10 mins after flushing through the water is crystal clear so easy to install and flow direction was clearly visible in large letters and arrow.This product for two filters was the same price of a Samsung product so no panic after six months no worries until next year i would recommend this product and will purchase again.
I purchased this gambling a little as a replacement for a lamona (howdens) hot tap filter (hk1077) as there was little details. Thankfully pipe fittings are the same and seems to have same spec for water flow etc as the original. One subtle difference is the diameter is smaller so doesn’t fit into original clip, I cable-tied this to a pipe vertically so was fine for me but you’ll need to consider if ordering. Welcome advice if for next purchase there is wider diameter version. Oh and price was much cheaper than lamona replacement so win win.
Main problem was fitting instructions in the box were unclear. Ended up Googling YouTube and luckily found a video for this particular filter which went through the fitting process step by step. It was a lot more complex and required a flushing stage etc that was not mentioned in the box instructions. Have saved the video link!!
Pleased that I have found a source for future replacement which is advised every 6 months so will be buying again.
